This indicator provides values for households and NPISHs final consumption expenditure expressed in current international dollars converted by purchasing power parity (PPP) conversion factor. Household final consumption expenditure (formerly private consumption) is the market value of all goods and services, including durable products (such as cars, washing machines, and home computers), purchased by households. It excludes purchases of dwellings but includes imputed rent for owner-occupied dwellings. It also includes payments and fees to governments to obtain permits and licenses. Here, household consumption expenditure includes the expenditures of nonprofit institutions serving households, even when reported separately by the country. PPP conversion factor is a spatial price deflator and currency converter that eliminates the effects of the differences in price levels between countries. From July 2020, “Households and NPISHs final consumption expenditure: linked series (current LCU)” [NE.CON.PRVT.CN.AD] is used as underlying expenditure in local currency unit so that it’s in line with time series of PPP conversion factor, private consumption (LCU per international $), which are extrapolated with linked CPI.;International Comparison Program, World Bank | World Development Indicators database, World Bank | Eurostat-OECD PPP Programme.;Gap-filled total;

🇩🇪 독일 English Purchasing power Purchasing power index of the 15 districts for the years from 2011, with the city of Konstanz = 100. Data is based on the purchasing power for Germany collected annually by the GfK (Society for Consumer Research), which is calculated on a small scale for Constance. The key figure indicates how much euros a single person has available on average for consumption purposes per year. This makes it possible to make statements about the potential purchasing power of the resident population. The GfK uses wage and income tax statistics as the basis for its calculation. This is supplemented by estimates and special calculations on pensions, pensions, unemployment benefits I and II, housing, child and parental benefits as well as BAföG. The index shows the purchasing power per inhabitant in the individual city districts in relation to the total city (=100). Source: Society for Consumer Research (GfK) Purchasing Power Germany.
