This Gallup poll aims to collect the opinions of Canadians, on topics currently of interest to them, and the government. While there are some questions directly about politics and political leaders, the majority of the variables deal with current events topics, and subjects of political importance. Johnson's performance as the President of the United States; labour union politics; Lester Pearson's performance as Prime Minister; a lottery to help pay for health and welfare; Tommy Douglas' performance as leader of the NDP; union membership; and voting behaviour. Basic demographics variables are also included.
