This series consists of diverse indices to locally created registers.

An index to birth register entries kept by the Deputy Registrar was required by An Act for Registering Births, Deaths, and Marriages in the Colony of Victoria 1853 no. 26.


XXIII. Every Deputy Registrar shall cause indexes of the Register Books in his office to be made and kept with the other Records of his office, and every person shall be entitled, at all reasonable hours to search the said indexes, and to have a certified copy of any entry or entries in the said Register Books, under the hand of the Deputy Registrar, on payment of the fees to be appointed as hereinbefore mentioned.

Information recorded includes: Surname, first name and entry number of the Register. The registration numbers in these registers differ from those allocated by the Registrar General on receipt of the quarterly returns from the local Registrars.

The Country Compendium of the Global Register of Introduced and Invasive Species (GRIIS) is a collation of data across 196 individual country checklists of alien species, along with a designation of those species associated with evidence of impact at a country level. This compendium is available via Zenodo and was described by Pagad et al. 2022:

Here I provide direct and fuzzy matches for species listed for the Plantae Kingdom in GRIIS with accepted plant names in World Flora Online (version 2023.03; Borsch et al. 2020) or the World Checklist of Vascular Plants (version 10; Govaerts et al. 2021). Matching was done in R through the WorldFlora package (Kindt 2020). The taxonomic standardization process was similar to the one completed during the preparation of the third major release of the Agroforestry Species Switchboard and when preparing the GlobalUsefulNativeTrees database (GlobUNT; https://worldagroforestry.org/output/globalusefulnativetrees) . Where a matching species was found in GlobUNT, the species name in the GlobUNT database has been shown. GlobUNT has been described in the following publication: Kindt et al. (2023) GlobalUsefulNativeTrees, a database of 14,014 tree species, supports synergies between biodiversity recovery and local livelihoods in restoration. The developments of this dataset and GlobUNT were supported by the Darwin Initiative to project DAREX001 of Developing a Global Biodiversity Standard certification for tree-planting and restoration and by Norway's International Climate and Forest Initiative through the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Ethiopia to the Provision of Adequate Tree Seed Portfolio project in Ethiopia.

The Registers recorded the details of contracts let by the council to the Country Roads Board. Information contained in the Registers included:

As of the first quarter of 2022, it was found that approximately ******* mobile apps directed to children across the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store did not list any country of registration. Over ** thousand apps were registered as published in the United States, while ****** mobile children apps were registered in India.

This series comprises of registered and summarised contracts between Council and the Country Roads Board (VA 722). Contract registers were to specify the works to be done, contract number, payments, and schedule of tender (including items, quantities and costs). The registers also included any additions or deductions made to contacts issued within its municipality.
