TwitterThis EnviroAtlas dataset shows the boundary of the Durham, NC Atlas Area. It represents the outside edge of all the block groups included in the EnviroAtlas Area. This dataset was produced by the US EPA to support research and online mapping activities related to EnviroAtlas. EnviroAtlas (https://www.epa.gov/enviroatlas ) allows the user to interact with a web-based, easy-to-use, mapping application to view and analyze multiple ecosystem services for the contiguous United States. The dataset is available as downloadable data (https://edg.epa.gov/data/Public/ORD/EnviroAtlas) or as an EnviroAtlas map service. Additional descriptive information about each attribute in this dataset can be found in its associated EnviroAtlas Fact Sheet (https://www.epa.gov/enviroatlas/enviroatlas-fact-sheets ).

TwitterThe TIGER/Line shapefiles and related database files (.dbf) are an extract of selected geographic and cartographic information from the U.S. Census Bureau's Master Address File / Topologically Integrated Geographic Encoding and Referencing (MAF/TIGER) Database (MTDB). The MTDB represents a seamless national file with no overlaps or gaps between parts, however, each TIGER/Line shapefile is designed to stand alone as an independent data set, or they can be combined to cover the entire nation. Face refers to the areal (polygon) topological primitives that make up MTDB. A face is bounded by one or more edges; its boundary includes only the edges that separate it from other faces, not any interior edges contained within the area of the face. The Topological Faces Shapefile contains the attributes of each topological primitive face. Each face has a unique topological face identifier (TFID) value. Each face in the shapefile includes the key geographic area codes for all geographic areas for which the Census Bureau tabulates data for both the 2020 Census and the annual estimates and surveys. The geometries of each of these geographic areas can then be built by dissolving the face geometries on the appropriate key geographic area codes in the Topological Faces Shapefile.

GIS data for the limits of the developed urban area in the Greater Golden Horseshoe area. The built boundary identifies built-up urban areas across the Greater Golden Horseshoe. It is a fixed line that reflects what was built and on the ground when the Growth Plan came into effect in June 2006. The boundaries are an important implementation and monitoring tool for the Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe. The built boundary will allow the province and others to measure intensification and redevelopment within the built-up area, and also allow us to monitor suburban development outside the built-up area. The built boundary was released in its final form on April 2, 2008, along with the methodology used to create it. ROP Consolidation September 3, 2024.

TwitterThis is spatial data from the 2021 Canadian Census of Population for the Regional Municipality of Durham, originally published by Statistics Canada. This spatial data is of Census Subdivisions (CSD) geography, for the Durham census division (CD). The boundaries of the CSD's approximately coincide with the boundaries of the lower-tier municipalities in Durham Region, like Pickering, Whitby, and Oshawa. The column "CSDUID" can be used to identify specific CSD's and to link census tables, such as total population and dwellings.

The MTS represents a seamless national file with no overlaps or gaps between parts, however, each TIGER/Line shapefile is designed to stand alone as an independent data set, or they can be combined to cover the entire nation. A face is bounded by one or more edges; its boundary includes only the edges that separate it from other faces, not any interior edges contained within the area of the face. The face to which a record in the Topological Faces/Area Hydrography Relationship File (facesah.dbf) applies can be determined by linking to the Topological Faces shapefile (faces.shp) using the permanent topological face identifier (TFID) attribute. The area hydrography feature to which a record in the Topological Faces/Area Hydrography Relationship File applies can be determined by linking to the Area Hydrography shapefile (areawater.shp) using the area hydrography identifier (HYDROID) attribute. A face may be part of multiple area water features. An area water feature may consist of multiple faces.
