The City of Bloomington Utilities (CBU) in cooperation with the Indiana Finance Authority is participating in a monitoring program which tests wastewater for coronavirus. From August through December of 2020, wastewater professionals from CBU collected samples three times each week at eight sites across Bloomington, including each of the two wastewater treatment plants. Throughout 2021 samples have been collected from the two wastewater treatment plants. Testing of those samples is conducted by multiple private, independent laboratories in an effort to gauge viral prevalence in the community. Reports of City of Bloomington employees with positive COVID-19 viral test results by department since March 28, 2020. The dataset also includes results from the municipal corporations of the Bloomington Housing Authority, Bloomington Transit, and the City of Bloomington Utilities. Note that results listed as "City Hall" include results from multiple departments whose employees work only at City Hall. These include: Community and Family Resources, Controller, Economic and Sustainable Development, Housing and Neighborhood Development, Human Resources, Information and Technology Services, Mayor's Office, Parks administration, and Public Works administration.

Daily COVID-19 reports from Johns Hopkins University Center for Systems Science and Engineering. This dataset is generated by calculating differences of each cumulative daily report from the previous day to identify daily changes in the number of confirmed, active, recovered, and fatal cases. This dataset reports from after CSSE changed its daily report schema on March 22.

RRF funding aims to fill gaps in immediate working capital for small businesses and nonprofits (including cultural organizations) until they can resume more normal operations. Recipients may or may not have applied for additional funding through Small Business Administration (SBA) loans and other federal disaster relief funding sources. Using $2 million of the City’s share of Food and Beverage Tax funds that the Bloomington Common Council approved for expenditure April 7, plus $500,000 of additional support approved by the Bloomington Urban Enterprise Association on April 8, the City is providing these immediate loans of up to $50,000 each to sustain area businesses in the short term and foster the regional economy. An advisory committee was appointed by the City of Bloomington to review applications and make recommendations for funding. This committee includes representatives from banking, financial services, and community organizations.
