In the capital of Russia, the contribution of traffic fines to the regional budget amounted to approximately 13.75 billion Russian rubles, which was over 2.5 times more than in the Moscow region, that ranked second with nearly 5.37 billion Russian rubles. The fines collected from drivers in the Republic of Tatarstan added 2.97 billion Russian rubles to the respective budget.
