    Description

The Digital Glacial and Surficial Geologic-GIS Map of Summit County and Parts of Cuyahoga County, Ohio is composed of GIS data layers and GIS tables, and is available in the following GRI-supported GIS data formats: 1.) a 10.1 file geodatabase (cuva_glacial_surficial_geology.gdb), a 2.) Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) geopackage, and 3.) 2.2 KMZ/KML file for use in Google Earth, however, this format version of the map is limited in data layers presented and in access to GRI ancillary table information. The file geodatabase format is supported with a 1.) ArcGIS Pro map file (.mapx) file and individual Pro layer (.lyrx) files (for each GIS data layer), as well as with a 2.) 10.1 ArcMap (.mxd) map document (cuva_glacial_surficial_geology.mxd) and individual 10.1 layer (.lyr) files (for each GIS data layer). The OGC geopackage is supported with a QGIS project (.qgz) file. Upon request, the GIS data is also available in ESRI 10.1 shapefile format. Contact Stephanie O'Meara (see contact information below) to acquire the GIS data in these GIS data formats. In addition to the GIS data and supporting GIS files, three additional files comprise a GRI digital geologic-GIS dataset or map: 1.) this file (cuva_geology.gis_readme.pdf), 2.) the GRI ancillary map information document (.pdf) file (cuva_geology.pdf) which contains geologic unit descriptions, as well as other ancillary map information and graphics from the source map(s) used by the GRI in the production of the GRI digital geologic-GIS data for the park, and 3.) a user-friendly FAQ PDF version of the metadata (cuva_glacial_surficial_geology_metadata_faq.pdf). Please read the cuva_geology_gis_readme.pdf for information pertaining to the proper extraction of the GIS data and other map files. Google Earth software is available for free at: http://www.google.com/earth/index.html. QGIS software is available for free at: https://www.qgis.org/en/site/. Download .zipA soil mapping unit designates a specific type of soil which has unique characteristics including texture, slope and erosion class.

This coverage was digitized from final prepublication soil survey field sheets. These sheets were taped together to form an area covering each of the USGS quadrangle maps in the county. The areas for each quadrangle were then digitized using a run length encoding technique sampling along horizontal lines which represented the midline of cells with a height of 250 feet. The measurement increment along these horizontal lines was one decafoot(10 feet). The quadrangle files were then merged into a county raster file which was subsequently converted into ARC/INFO format.

The user should bear in mind that this coverage is only an approximation of the original soil survey and should not be used for site specific analysis. Additional details on the digitizing process are available on request.

Original coverage data was converted from the .e00 file to a more standard ESRI shapefile(s) in November 2014.Contact Information:GIS Support, ODNR GIS ServicesOhio Department of Natural ResourcesReal Estate & Land ManagementReal Estate and Lands Management2045 Morse Rd, Bldg I-2Columbus, OH, 43229Telephone: 614-265-6462Email: gis.support@dnr.ohio.gov

U.S. Census Block GroupsThis feature layer, utilizing National Geospatial Data Asset (NGDA) data from the U.S. Census Bureau (USCB), displays Census block groups in the 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. Per the USCB, "Block Groups (BGs) are clusters of blocks within the same census tract. Each census tract contains at least one BG, and BGs are uniquely numbered within census tracts. BGs have a valid code range of 0 through 9. BGs have the same first digit of their 4-digit census block number from the same decennial census. BGs coded 0 are intended to only include water area, no land area, and they are generally in territorial seas, coastal water, and Great Lakes water areas. Block groups generally contain between 600 and 3,000 people. A BG usually covers a contiguous area but never crosses county or census tract boundaries. They may, however, cross the boundaries of other geographic entities like county subdivisions, places, urban areas, voting districts, congressional districts, and American Indian / Alaska Native / Native Hawaiian areas".Block Group 2 - Census Tract 010400 (Santa Fe, NM area)Data version: This cached Esri federal service is checked weekly for updates from its enterprise federal source (Census Block Groups) and will support mapping, analysis, data exports and OGC API – Feature access.NGDAID: 70 (Series Information for Block Group State-based TIGER/Line Shapefiles, Current)OGC API Features Link: (U.S. Census Block Groups - OGC Features) copy this link to embed it in OGC Compliant viewersFor more information, please visit: What are census blocks? For feedback please contact: Esri_US_Federal_Data@esri.comNGDA Data SetThis data set is part of the NGDA Governmental Units, and Administrative and Statistical Boundaries Theme Community. Description

European colonization radically transformed the landscapes of eastern North America. Understanding this legacy is vital to managing current ecological communities. To do so requires spatially explicit information about presettlement vegetation. Here we test the ability of species distribution models, which have rarely been used with historical data like land survey records, to generate useful predictions of presettlement tree distributions. These models also allow us to assess pre-disturbance vegetation-environment relationships. Location: Cuyahoga County, Ohio, USA Methods: Generalized linear models, generalized boosting models, random forests, and maximum entropy models related the distributions of 17 tree taxa to elevation, slope, aspect, and soil type, based on 4234 tree observations from circa-1800 surveys. Cluster analysis defined forest types and created a prediction map of forest types using random forests. Results: This study generated high-resolution predictions of presettleme..., We analyzed historical survey data on 17 individual tree species and 10 forest types using species distribution models to create prediction maps of pre-settlement distributions. , , # Presettlement tree distributions and forest types of northeast Ohio, USA, mapped with species distribution models

    Description

Created by the Tax Reform Act of 1986, the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit program (LIHTC) gives State and local LIHTC-allocating agencies the equivalent of nearly $8 billion in annual budget authority to issue tax credits for the acquisition, rehabilitation, or new construction of rental housing targeted to lower-income households. Although some data about the program have been made available by various sources, HUD's database is the only complete national source of information on the size, unit mix, and location of individual projects. With the continued support of the national LIHTC database, HUD hopes to enable researchers to learn more about the effects of the tax credit program.HUD has no administrative authority over the LIHTC program. IRS has authority at the federal level and it is structured so that the states truly administer the program. The LIHTC property locations depicted in this map service represent the general location of the property. The locations of individual buildings associated with each property are not depicted here. The location of the property is derived from the address of the building with the most units. Location data for HUD-related properties and facilities are derived from HUD's enterprise geocoding service. While not all addresses are able to be geocoded and mapped to 100% accuracy, we are continuously working to improve address data quality and enhance coverage. Please consider this issue when using any datasets provided by HUD. When using this data, take note of the field titled “LVL2KX” which indicates the overall accuracy of the geocoded address using the following return codes:‘R’ - Interpolated rooftop (high degree of accuracy, symbolized as green)‘4’ - ZIP+4 centroid (high degree of accuracy, symbolized as green)‘B’ - Block group centroid (medium degree of accuracy, symbolized as yellow)‘T’ - Census tract centroid (low degree of accuracy, symbolized as red)‘2’ - ZIP+2 centroid (low degree of accuracy, symbolized as red)‘Z’ - ZIP5 centroid (low degree of accuracy, symbolized as red)‘5’ - ZIP5 centroid (same as above, low degree of accuracy, symbolized as red)Null - Could not be geocoded (does not appear on the map)For the purposes of displaying the location of an address on a map only use addresses and their associated lat/long coordinates where the LVL2KX field is coded ‘R’ or ‘4’. These codes ensure that the address is displayed on the correct street segment and in the correct census block. The remaining LVL2KX codes provide a cascading indication of the most granular level geography for which an address can be confirmed. For example, if an address cannot be accurately interpolated to a rooftop (‘R’), or ZIP+4 centroid (‘4’), then the address will be mapped to the centroid of the next nearest confirmed geography: block group, tract, and so on. When performing any point-in polygon analysis it is important to note that points mapped to the centroids of larger geographies will be less likely to map accurately to the smaller geographies of the same area. For instance, a point coded as ‘5’ in the correct ZIP Code will be less likely to map to the correct block group or census tract for that address.

    Description

Download .zipThis theme shows generalized zoning based on zoning regulations and maps of local jurisdictions. Zoning was provided by the Cuyahoga County Regional Planning Commission. It is not an official zoning map.

The zoning categories were drafted onto USGS quadrangle maps and digitized utilizing a run length encoding technique sampling along horizontal lines which represent the midline of cells with a height of 250 feet . The measurement increment along these horizontal lines was one decafoot (10 feet) the quadrangle files were then merged into a county file which was subsequently converted to ARC / Info format.

The user should bear in mind that this coverage is only an approximation of the zoning as drafted.

Download .zipThis theme shows generalized zoning of vacant land excluding agricultural land. Vacant land includes the following types of land uses - undeveloped, shrub and brush rangeland, deciduous forest, coniferous forest, beaches, and transitional areas. Zoning was provided by the Cuyahoga County Regional Planning Commission

The coverages used in this analysis were drafted onto USGS quadrangle maps and digitized utilizing a run length encoding technique sampling along horizontal lines which represent the midline of cells with a height of 250 feet . The measurement increment along these horizontal lines was one decafoot (10 feet) the quadrangle files were then merged into a county file which was subsequently converted to ARC / Info format.

Description

This data is updated quarterly using the latest information from the Fiscal Office and is meant to show properties utilizing the popular economic development tools of tax incentives program for abatements and TIFs. Abatements allow for property tax to be waived for any increase in property value resulting from a qualifying property improvement. TIFs allow for the redirecting of property tax resulting any increase in property value resulting from a qualifying improvement to assist in financing the property improvement or infrastructure needed for the property improvement. Abatements and TIF programs are approved by the State of Ohio and administered by the County Fiscal Office.More information regarding TIFs and Abatements can be found in the Fiscal GIS Hub:https://fiscalgishub.cuyahogacounty.us/pages/incentive-information-siteView the Data Dictionary.
