    Description

We constructed a time-series spatial dataset of parcel boundaries for the period 1962-2005, in roughly 4-year intervals, by digitizing historical plat maps for Dane County and combining them with the 2005 GIS digital parcel dataset. The resulting datasets enable the consistent tracking of subdivision and development for all parcels over a given time frame. The process involved 1) dissolving and merging the 2005 digital Dane County parcel dataset based on contiguity and name, 2) further merging 2005 parcels based on the hard copy 2005 Plat book, and then 3) the reverse chronological merging of parcels to reconstruct previous years, at 4-year intervals, based on historical plat books. Additional land use information such as 1) whether a structure was actually constructed (using the companion digitized aerial photo dataset), 2) cover crop, and 3) permeable surface area, can be added to these datasets at a later date.

Nanophotonics 14(3): 335–342, https://doi.org/10.1515/nanoph-2024-0554Color centers in hexagonal boron nitride (hBN) are promising candidates as quantum light sources for future technologies. In this work, we utilize a scattering-type near-field optical microscope (s-SNOM) to study the photoluminescence (PL) emission characteristics of such quantum emitters in metalorganic vapor phase epitaxy grown hBN. On the one hand, we demonstrate direct near-field optical excitation and emission through interaction with the nanofocus of the tip resulting in a subdiffraction limited tip-enhanced PL hotspot. On the other hand, we show that indirect excitation and emission via scattering from the tip significantly increases the recorded PL intensity. This demonstrates that the tip-assisted PL (TAPL) process effiently guides the generated light to the detector. We apply the TAPL method to map the in-plane dipole orientations of the hBN color centers on the nanoscale. This work promotes the widely available s-SNOM approach to applications in the quantum domain including characterization and optical control.Files:Fig. 1:The file contains photoluminescence (PL) measurement data of a single color center obtained with an AFM tip.Fig. 2:The file includes PL maps of two different emitters measured in near-field scans.Fig. 3:The file includes a PL scan of multiple color centers within a 6 μm × 6 μm region, along with PL spectra of color centers measured with extended integration times of 5 s.Fig. 4:The file contains PL intensity maps (integrated peak area from fit) for different angles between illumination direction.

    Description

This project is a bathymetric survey of offshore waters in the Gulf of Maine in and adjacent to offshore wind development areas conducted in summer and fall 2025. This follows a 2024 survey reported separately. The purpose of this project is to map the Maine Research Array offshore wind lease area, the 9-mile research strata surrounding the Research Array lease area, and potential cable routes to shore. A secondary goal is to fill bathymetric data gaps between shore and U.S. Bureau of Ocean Energy Management Wind Energy Areas by linking existing surveys with newly mapped areas. This survey produces bathymetry at 4m and backscatter at 2m resolution or better. Grab sampling was conducted at 30 sites in September 2025 to yield video of substrate and benthic epifauna, sediment grain size analysis, and taxonomic classification of benthic infauna.

    Description

The dataset presents the historical railway network of Galicia and Austrian Silesia – two regions of the Habsburg Empire, covering more than 80 000 km2, currently divided among Czechia, Poland and Ukraine. The network covers the times of railway appearance and the most dynamic development of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century, up to 1914 – the outbreak of the First World War. The data can be characterized by unprecedented positional accuracy, as they were reconstructed based on the current railway network, which resulted in almost no shifts in space. Most of the lines were reconstructed based on OpenStreetMap data, and the lines, which were closed-down between 1914 and 2019, and are no longer available in spatial datasets, were reconstructed based on high-resolution satellite imageries and historical maps. Altogether, the network covers more than 5000 km on 127 lines. The data are accompanied by a set of attributes, i.e. year of construction, length, starting and final point, type (normal, narrow-gauge, etc.). It can be used in many different applications including historical accessibility mapping, migrations, economic development, the impact of past human activities on current environmental and socio-economic processes, like land use change drivers, landscape fragmentation, invasion of new species and many more. Data are available for download in the shp format.

Please note: Our work was focused on publicly accessible railway lines open for regular passenger traffic and hence did not contain the sidings constructed locally, e.g. to serve industrial sites or narrow gauge forest lines.

    Description

The dataset presents a reconstruction of mid-19th-century building structure locations in former Galicia and Austrian Silesia (parts of the Habsburg Monarchy), located in present-day Czechia, Poland and Ukraine and covering more than 80 000 km2. Our reconstruction was based on a homogeneous series of detailed Second Military Survey maps (1:28,800), which were the result of cadastral mapping (1:2,880) generalization. The dataset consists of two kinds of building structures based on the original map legend – residential and outbuildings (mainly farm-related buildings), and contains more than 1.3 million objects. The dataset’s accuracy was assessed quantitatively and qualitatively using independent data sources and may serve as an important input in studying long-term socio-economic processes and human-environmental interactions or as a valuable reference for continental settlement reconstructions. Additionally, a separate polygon layer of districts covering the entire study area, including a set of uncertainty-related attributes was added to the dataset.

pCO2 to ciśnienie cząstkowe CO2 w cieczy lub gazie. W Oceanografii stosuje się go do badania dwutlenku węgla (CO2) rozpuszczonego w warstwach powierzchniowych oceanu w celu lepszego zrozumienia zmian w chemii węgla oceanicznego i zakwaszania oceanów z powodu zwiększonego atmosferycznego CO2. RV Celtic Explorer posiada system pCO2 Underway. dane pCO2 zostały zebrane w ramach badania CE18007 INFOMAR Seabed Mapping Morza Celtyckiego na pokładzie RV Celtic Explorer w kwietniu;May 2018. Czujnik podczerwieni: Licor 7000, kalibrowany 3 niezerowymi gazami standardowymi. Standardowe gazy: Manufactued – Air Products, Calibrated – Mace Head Research Station (198.29 399.28 606.52) Natężenie przepływu wody: 2 @-@ 3 L min @-@ 1 Natężenie przepływu gazu: 80-220 mL min-1 (przepływ gazu ekwilibratorowego wynosił 220 ml min-1) Do pomiarów pCO2 zastosowano ogólny system pCO2 (model 8050). System został szczegółowo opisany w Pierrot i in.(2009).

    Description

The Quaternary Geologic Map of the Chicago 4° x 6° Quadrangle was mapped as part of the Quaternary Geologic Atlas of the United States. The atlas was begun as an effort to depict the areal distribution of surficial geologic deposits and other materials that accumulated or formed during the past 2+ million years, the period that includes all activities of the human species. These materials are at the surface of the earth. They make up the "ground" on which we walk, the "dirt" in which we dig foundations, and the "soil" in which we grow crops. Most of our human activity is related in one way or another to these surface materials that are referred to collectively by many geologists as regolith, the mantle of fragmental and generally unconsolidated material that overlies the bedrock foundation of the continent. The maps were compiled at 1:1,000,000 scale.

    Description

The Detailed Geological Map of Poland in scale 1:50,000 (DGMP 1:50,000) is elaborated in Polish on the base of geological mapping, especially drilled boreholes to subQuaternary basement as well as geological and geophysical surveys and laboratory studies. The whole edition comprises 1069 sheets. The Detailed Geological Map of Poland in the scale 1:50,000 published from 1956 together with explanations, forms a compendium of geological knowledge of the area. It is a basic map which is being used for construction of all the other consecutive thematic maps of the country, either in detailed or in regional scales. The Map is supplemented with one or two geological sections, typical for the area: one of them (Quaternary deposits) is prepared in highly exaggerated vertical scale. Each sheet is provided with brochure text explanations, containing description of the geological structure of the area, logs of the more significant boreholes, geomorphological and subQuaternary basement sketches and the results of field and laboratory analyses.

    Description

The Dane County Parcel Database was derived from a variety of source maps including U.S. General Land Office survey plats, deed descriptions, subdivision plats, certified survey maps and right-of-way plats. All new parcels are entered into the database using coordinate geometry (COGO). The map provides a representation of the geometry and topology of tax parcels. The attributes are derived from the Dane County Treasurers database. It is not intended to be used for the legal determination of land ownership or to be in any way a substitute for the land ownership and interest descriptions contained in individual deeds.
