This dataset contains information about a number of participants (participants.csv) to a workshop that need to be assigned to a number of rooms (rooms.csv).
Restrictions: 1.- The workshop has 5 different activities 2.- Each participant has indicated their first, second and third preferences for the activities available (Priority1, Priority2 and Priority3 columns in participants.csv) 3.- Participants are part of teams (Team column in participant.csv) and should be assigned together 4.- Each Activity lasts for half a day, and each participant will take part in one activity in the morning and one activity in the afternoon. 5.- Each Room must contain the SAME activity in the morning and in the afternoon.
Requirements A.- Define the way i which each participant should be assigned through a csv file in the format Name;ActivityAM;RoomAM, ActivityPM;RoomPM B.- Maximize the number of people getting their 1st and 2nd preferences.

DOM Formula Assignment Dataset
Training and Testing Data for Machine Learning-Based Molecular Formula Assignment in Fulvic Acid DOM Mass Spectra
Paper: Under review
Abstract
Dissolved organic matter (DOM) is a critical component of aquatic ecosystems, with the fulvic acid fraction (FA-DOM) exhibiting high mobility and ready bioavailability to microbial communities. While understanding the molecular composition is a vital area of study, the heterogeneity of the… See the full description on the dataset page: https://huggingface.co/datasets/SaeedLab/dom-formula-assignment-data.

This article discusses how to make statistical graphics a more prominent element of the undergraduate statistics curricula. The focus is on several different types of assignments that exemplify how to incorporate graphics into a course in a pedagogically meaningful way. These assignments include having students deconstruct and reconstruct plots, copy masterful graphs, create one-minute visual revelations, convert tables into “pictures,” and develop interactive visualizations, for example, with the virtual earth as a plotting canvas. In addition to describing the goals and details of each assignment, we also discuss the broader topic of graphics and key concepts that we think warrant inclusion in the statistics curricula. We advocate that more attention needs to be paid to this fundamental field of statistics at all levels, from introductory undergraduate through graduate level courses. With the rapid rise of tools to visualize data, for example, Google trends, GapMinder, ManyEyes, and Tableau, and the increased use of graphics in the media, understanding the principles of good statistical graphics, and having the ability to create informative visualizations is an ever more important aspect of statistics education. Supplementary materials containing code and data for the assignments are available online.

TwitterThis map overlays three layers, all of which contain demographic data by county. The US_county_demographics layer is currently set to display the percent of residents on public assistance but also contains information on per capita income, highest level of education, travel time to work, and employment rates. The ACS_Transport_CA layer contains data on different modes of transportation to work and is symbolized by the number of residents in each county who cycle to work. The CA_county_health layer contains the national health rank of each county in California. Health rankings are determined by University of Wisconsin Public Health Institute using various public health metrics.

This page provides the data resulting from linking assignees and assignors in the USPTO Patent Assignment Dataset to Compustat gvkeys. We work with a version of the USPTO PAD that was gracefully shared with us by Stuart Graham. Such version precedes by one year the first release available at the USPTO website (https://www.uspto.gov/ip-policy/economic-research/research-datasets/patent-assignment-dataset). The version that we use covers 5,534,135 transactions recorded at the USPTO between January 1970 and January 2013 (inclusive). While the first transaction date is January 1970, the number of transactions recorded in the initial years is negligible. Data coverage seems sufficient for the years 1981-2012.

Within the assignments reference sets can be distinguished. Reference sets are (large) sets of DOV data points, collected in a “Command” with a specific purpose. The reference sets document research and associated data points for certain standard products, such as the substantiation of formal geological lithostratigraphic units, or large reference products such as the Tertiary geological mapping and the Geological 3D Model. Assignments can be linked to other assignments, probes, drilling, soil samples, interpretations, groundwater locations, filters, soil sites, soil sites, soil samples and pre-notifications. Research results are often added as attachments or hyperlinks to an assignment. The purpose for which an assignment has been carried out can vary greatly. This is documented by the fields nature and origin. The nature of the assignment gives an indication of the themes in which the data are collected. Origin of the assignment gives an indication of the origin of the data generated within the assignment.
