    Description

This Event Duration Monitoring (EDM) dataset relates to the performance of storm overflows in England. Data are provided by Water and Sewerage Companies (WaSCs) to the Environment Agency each year as part of their regulatory Annual Return, to fulfil their permitted conditions to discharge from these storm overflows under the Environmental Permitting Regulations.

Data files are provided by year (2024, 2023, 2022, 2021 & 2020) and include a sheet for each of the 10 WaSCs with storm overflows in England. Each WaSC sheet shows how often and how long each monitored storm overflow discharged during that year. From 2021 onwards the dataset also includes reasons why event duration monitors (EDM) may have provided information for <90% of the relevant return period, and why an overflow may have high spill counts in that period. These data reflect the best available information held by the WaSC at time of submission.

The data file for each year also contains key summary data tables. These include: number of storm overflows with EDM, number of storm overflows returning spill counts, average spill duration and average spill count for each WaSC. A dataset README guide is also provided which provides further information to help use and understand the data.

A sixth data file contains the annual key summary data from respective years plus a table showing long-term trends from 2016-2024.

    Description

This dataset comprises 19 subsets. Each subset measures a different parameter or is produced by a different sensor provider. The measurement period for this dataset was from October 11, 2024, to October 31, 2024, and the measurement interval depends on the type of parameter being measured, ranging from 1 second to 15 minutes. The dataset includes six indoor low-cost sensor providers with their respective measuring sensors. Three of these providers had only one sensor at the location, while one had 16 sensors, and the other two had 4 and 2 sensors, respectively. Human presence was monitored using a camera and a motion detection sensor. Window and door opening and closing were monitored using Xiaomi Door/Window sensors. In addition to the indoor low-cost sensors, the location was equipped with reference sensing units that were calibrated to the measuring station. Furthermore, outdoor low-cost sensors were also used. Specifically, one was a low-cost sensor, and the other was a mid-range sensor in terms of pricing. This dataset also includes black carbon data and CPC data. Description

This repository contains a novel time-series dataset for impact detection and localization on a plastic thin-plate, towards Structural Health Monitoring applications, using ceramic piezoelectric transducers (PZTs) connected to an Internet of Things (IoT) device. The dataset was collected from an experimental procedure of low-velocity, low-energy impact events that includes at least 3 repetitions for each unique experiment, while the input measurements come from 4 PZT sensors placed at the corners of the plate. For each repetition and sensor, 5000 values are stored with 100 KHz sampling rate. The system is excited with a steel ball, and the height from which it is released varies from 10 cm to 20 cm.

To the best of our knowledge, we are the first, to publish a public dataset that contains PZT sensors measurements concerning low-velocity, low-energy impact events in a thin plastic plate. In addition, we also contribute with our methodology on data collection using an SHM IoT system with resource constraints (based on Arduino NANO 33 MCU), as opposed to the majority of the literature that uses Oscilloscopes for data acquisition. This concept of an MCU-based system for data collection in SHM is especially important nowadays, due to the fast rise of extreme-edge and embedded machine learning practices solutions that enable a variety of real-time data-driven SHM applications. Finally, we wish to highlight that by using this specific Microcontroller Unit (MCU) and sensors, the proposed implementation aims for an overall low-cost data collection solution.

The dataset has been published as a dataset paper in 20th ACM Conference on Embedded Networked Sensor Systems (SenSys 2022), in the following workshop: The Fifth International Workshop on Data: Acquisition To Analysis (DATA '22).

The dataset is also available at https://github.com/Smart-Objects/Impact-Events-Dataset.

    Description

Objective To correlate arrhythmic symptoms with the presence of significant arrhythmias through the external event monitoring (web-loop). Methods Between January and December 2011, the web-loop was connected to 112 patients (46% of them were women, mean age 52±21 years old). Specific arrhythmic symptoms were defined as palpitations, pre-syncope and syncope observed during the monitoring. Supraventricular tachycardia, atrial flutter or fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, pauses greater than 2 seconds or advanced atrioventricular block were classified as significant arrhythmia. The association between symptoms and significant arrhythmias were analyzed. Results The web-loop recorded arrhythmic symptoms in 74 (66%) patients. Of these, in only 14 (19%) patients the association between symptoms and significant cardiac arrhythmia was detected. Moreover, significant arrhythmia was found in 11 (9.8%) asymptomatic patients. There was no association between presence of major symptoms and significant cardiac arrhythmia (OR=0.57, CI95%: 0.21-1.57; p=0.23). Conclusion We found no association between major symptoms and significant cardiac arrhythmia in patients submitted to event recorder monitoring. Event loop recorder was useful to elucidate cases of palpitations and syncope in symptomatic patients.
