    Description

    This EnviroAtlas dataset estimates tree cover along walkable roads. The road width is estimated for each road and percent tree cover is calculated in a 8.5 meter strip beginning at the estimated road edge. Percent tree cover is calculated for each block between road intersections. In this community, tree cover is defined as Trees & Forest, and Woody Wetlands. Tree cover provides valuable benefits to neighborhood residents and walkers by providing shade, improved aesthetics, and outdoor gathering spaces. This dataset was produced by the US EPA to support research and online mapping activities related to EnviroAtlas. EnviroAtlas (https://www.epa.gov/enviroatlas) allows the user to interact with a web-based, easy-to-use, mapping application to view and analyze multiple ecosystem services for the contiguous United States. The dataset is available as downloadable data (https://edg.epa.gov/data/Public/ORD/EnviroAtlas) or as an EnviroAtlas map service.     Description

    This map is part of the series that covers the whole of Australia at a scale of 1:250 000 (1cm on a map represents 2.5 km on the ground) and comprises 513 maps. This is the largest scale at which published topographic maps cover the entire continent. Each standard map covers an area of 1.5 degrees longitude by 1 degree latitude or about 150 kilometres from east to west and 110 kilometres from north to south. There are about 50 special maps in the series and these maps cover a non-standard area. Typically, where a map produced on standard sheet lines is largely ocean it is combined with its landward neighbour. These maps contain natural and constructed features including road and rail infrastructure, vegetation, hydrography, contours (interval 50m), localities and some administrative boundaries. The topographic map and data index shows coverage of the sheets. Product Specifications Coverage: The series covers the whole of Australia with 513 maps. Currency: Ranges from 1995 to 2009. 95% of maps have a reliability date of 1994 or later. Coordinates: Geographical and either AMG or MGA (post-1993) Datum: AGD66, GDA94, AHD.     This EnviroAtlas dataset estimates green space along walkable roads. Green space within 25 meters of the road centerline is included and the percentage is based on the total area between street intersections. In this community, green space is defined as Trees & Forest, Shrubs, Grass & Herbaceous, Woody Wetlands, and Emergent Wetlands. In this metric, water is also included in green space.     Last Update: 08/29/2024The statewide roads dataset is a multi-purpose statewide roads dataset for cartography and range based-address location. This dataset is also used as the base geometry for deriving the GIS-representation of UDOT's highway linear referencing system (LRS). A network analysis dataset for route-finding can also be derived from this dataset. This dataset utilizes a data model based on Next-Generation 911 standards and the Federal Highway Administration's All Roads Network Of Linear-referenced Data (ARNOLD) reporting requirements for state DOTs. UGRC adopted this data model on September 13th, 2017.The statewide roads dataset is maintained by UGRC in partnership with local governments, the Utah 911 Committee, and UDOT. This dataset is updated monthly with Davis, Salt Lake, Utah, Washington and Weber represented every month, along with additional counties based on an annual update schedule. UGRC obtains the data from the authoritative data source (typically county agencies), projects the data and attributes into the current data model, spatially assigns polygon-based fields based on the appropriate SGID boundary, and then standardizes the attribute values to ensure statewide consistency. UGRC also generates a UNIQUE_ID field based on the segment's location in the US National Grid, with the street name then tacked on. The UNIQUE_ID field is static and is UGRC's current, ad hoc solution to a persistent global id. The road centerline file has been maintained as a major component of the Shasta County Integrated Public Safety System and has been updated to meet the needs of the public safety agencies for dispatch. Road centerline data is segmented at each intersecting feature along a route, which means multiple linear features may represent a single route. The road functional classifications assigned to the roadways are based on the California Department of Transportation (CalTrans) CA Road System (CRS) maps.     Description

    CDFW BIOS GIS Dataset, Contact: Chris Stermer, Description: These data describe the location and shape of 702 aspen stands on the Eagle Lake RD, Lassen NF. Data were gathered in the summers of 2001-2005. Delineations of aspen stands were based on dominant vegetation types from aerial imagery and field verification conducted by trained Forest Service crews. Assessments were conducted within aspen stands in the region, or stands identified during field surveys. This dataset is considered to be a complete inventory of aspen in these watersheds.

    Description

    This Mat-Su Borough road centerlines dataset contains assigned official road names, address ranges, and cartographic classifications. This data is used to create the MSAG table for the Enhanced 9-1-1 program and is suitable for geo-coding purposes. Note: Cartographic classification of roads now includes a classification of "NOT CONST'D" which denotes roads that have been platted but not yet constructed. Original data was aggregated by a consultant (McLane Consulting of Soldotna, AK) as a part of the original addressing/911 project. Centerlines were interpolated from existing digital CAD drawings of property and ROW lines. Consultant (McClane) then did field work to append the centerline file to include additional road segments not represented as part of ROW within the property maps. Additional segments were input using GPS and "heads up" 85 digitizing methods. Each was adjusted to fit with the existing data. Data was originally stored in MapInfo (MIF) format and later converted to ESRI shapefile (SHP) format. Additional data related to the state highway system was collected using GPS technology between 1997 and 1999 by the Alaska Department of Transportation. This data was used to supplement the Borough data set for portions of the Parks Highway, Glenn Highway, Old Glenn Highway, Petersville Road, Denali Highway, and Lake Louise Road. Replacement of those street segments based upon property map interpolation but now available within the AK-DOT GPS collection is planned for Summer 2001. Data is maintained in an ongoing basis, primarily taken from subdivision plats, right-of-way plats, or other similar documentation of road existence. Data is input based on road centerlines as shown on subdivision plats and using "heads up" digitizing from aerial imagery.

    A local roads area (LRA) is a geographic area without municipal organization. In these areas, land owners organize and form a local roads board. The local roads board makes recommendations on the boundaries of the local roads area and which local roads should be maintained. The authority for the establishment of an LRA is the Local Roads Boards Act R.S.O. 1990 c. L.27. Local Roads Area (LRA) Boundaries: This dataset shows the Locals Road Area (LRA) boundaries established under the Local Roads Boards Act R.S.O. 1990 c. L.27. in the province of Ontario. Description

This EnviroAtlas dataset estimates tree cover along walkable roads. The road width is estimated for each road and percent tree cover is calculated in a 8.5 meter strip beginning at the estimated road edge. Percent tree cover is calculated for each block between road intersections. In this community, tree cover is defined as Trees & Forest, and Woody Wetlands. Tree cover provides valuable benefits to neighborhood residents and walkers by providing shade, improved aesthetics, and outdoor gathering spaces. This dataset was produced by the US EPA to support research and online mapping activities related to EnviroAtlas. EnviroAtlas (https://www.epa.gov/enviroatlas) allows the user to interact with a web-based, easy-to-use, mapping application to view and analyze multiple ecosystem services for the contiguous United States. The dataset is available as downloadable data (https://edg.epa.gov/data/Public/ORD/EnviroAtlas) or as an EnviroAtlas map service.
