These data were derived from hydroacoustic data collected by uncrewed surface vehicles (USVs) and powered research vessels in Lake Superior in 2022. The powered vessels overtook the USVs to study fish avoidance of survey vessels during traditional acoustic surveys. The water column was divided into four depth groups for analysis. Each USV transect was binned into 30-sec intervals and measured hydroacoustic values were averaged in this region. To compare vessels and USVs, parallel overtakes (overtakes where vessel and drone followed the same path) which were ~2 km long, were measured by both platforms and the differences between acoustic measures compared.

This data set consists of processed track line navigation and magnetic field measurements collected by an autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) in Yellowstone Lake in July 2016 by Ocean Floor Geophysics Inc. (OFG) (https://www.oceanfloorgeophysics.com/). Diurnal corrections to the magnetic data were applied utilizing the Newport (NEW) and Boulder (BOU) geomagnetic observatory records. The regional IGRF magnetic field [Thebault et al., 2015] was removed to produce the anomaly. Navigation was provided by a deployed acoustic transponder network. Data processing of the navigation data included masking of AUV maneuvers and jumps in the data, correction of a residual heading effect and separation of the data acquired at the 15-m height above lake bed from a 7-m height above lake bed. Details of the processing are explained in Bouligand et al., 2020. The data files are in ASCII format with the following columns: longitude, latitude, UTM x (m), UTM y (m), depth(m), height above lake floor (m), magnetic anomaly (nT). The lake surface and AUV magnetic data sets were acquired under National Park Service research permit YELL-2016-SCI-7018. The data set was generated as part of the Hydrothermal Dynamics of Yellowstone Lake (HD-YLAKE) project and was supported by National Science Foundation grant EAR-1516361.

This dataset is in development. Lake Macquarie City Council has released this dataset for a local transport themed hackathon, LakeMacHack. Council is investigating future options for this data.
This dataset contains the number of registered vehicle in NSW at LGA level by vehicle type and motive power code. It also contains Greenhouse Gas Emissions (GGE) associated with on-road transportation. GGE are calculated in line with the GHG Protocol for Cities (GPC), and using the Fuel Sales methods. Fuel sales data at NSW level have been scaled down for each LGA using the number of registered vehicle in NSW vs. number of registered vehicle in each LGA. We are adding new LGAs into this dataset on an on-going basis.

Michigan, the Great Lakes State, is a major manufacturing state. For example, the automotive industry traces its roots to Michigan, where the Big Three auto manufacturers still reside. Not surprisingly, large automotive suppliers also have a strong presence in Michigan. For instance, semiconductor and EV battery manufacturers have located there, not only to shorten their supply chain but also for the state's business-friendly climate.
