Under the new quarterly data summary (QDS) framework departments’ spending data is published every quarter; to show the taxpayer how the government is spending their money.
The QDS grew out of commitments made in the 2011 Budget and the written ministerial statement on business plans. For the financial year 2012 to 2013 the QDS has been revised and improved in line with action 9 of the Civil Service Reform Plan to provide a common set of data that will enable comparisons of operational performance across government so that departments and individuals can be held to account.
The QDS breaks down the total spend of the department in 3 ways:
The QDS template is the same for all departments, though the individual detail of grants and policy will differ from department to department. In using this data:
Please note that the quarter 1 2012 to 2013 return for the Department of Transport (DfT) is for the core department only.
Quarterly data summaries for April 2012 are as follows:
Quarterly data summaries for January 2012 are as follows:
Quarterly data summaries for October 2011 are as follows:

The data includes information about the time, location depth and catch method (trawl net etc) for each operation, metrics of catch (weight composition etc) and species and specimen details. Individual metadata records have been created for each research voyage. The data are held in the CMAR Data Warehouse, which currently holds over 13,000 catch operation records from more than 200 voyages.
This study employed an extensive literature review to identify commonalities in the data retrieval practices of users of observational data. This dataset consists of a BibTeX file with the 146 bibliographic references examined in:Gregory, K., Groth, P., Cousijn, H., Scharnhorst, A., & Wyatt, S. (2017). Searching Data: A Review of Observational Data Retrieval Practices. arxiv:1707.06937. [cs.DL]The body of literature in the dataset was retrieved using different combinations of keyword searches, primarily in the Scopus database, across all fields. Keyword searches related to information retrieval (e.g. user behavior, information seeking, information retrieval) and data practices (e.g. research practices, community practices, data sharing, data reuse) were combined with keyword searches for research data. As the terms “data” and “search” are ubiquitous in academic literature, title searches also were employed and combined with the controlled vocabulary of the database to locate relevant information. Searches in Scopus included strings such as:KEY ( user AND information ) AND TITLE-ABS-KEY ("research data" OR ( scien W/1 data ) OR ( data W/1 ( repositor OR archive ) ) )TITLE ( data W/0 ( search OR retriev OR discover OR access OR sharing OR reus* ) )AND ( LIMIT-TO ( EXACTKEYWORD , "Information Retrieval" ) OR LIMIT-TO ( EXACTKEYWORD , "Data Retrieval" ) OR LIMIT-TO ( EXACTKEYWORD , "Data Reuse" ) )Bibliometric techniques such as citation chaining and related records were also applied. Pertinent journals and conference proceedings not indexed within Scopus (e.g. the International Journal of Digital Curation) were searched directly using similar keywords. The approximately 400 retrieved documents were examined by close reading to identify articles referring to observational data for inclusion in the final dataset.AcknowledgementsThis work has funded by the NWO Grant 652.001.002 (programme Creative Industrie - Thematisch Onderzoek (CI-TO), Re-SEARCH: Contextual Search for Scientific Research Data)

This cruise took place in oceanic and shelf waters off south eastern Tasmania during 1-21 June 1993, under the leadership of Jock Young. Biological data collected on this cruise include oceanographic data and midwater fauna samples from three transects to the north, across and south east of the jarosite dumpsite and midwater fauna samples for heavy metal analysis. Larval fish samples were also collected for the Temperate and Deepwater Fisheries Resources program. Please note: This metadata record is a preliminary entry derived from information in the cruise plan and/or cruise report. Individual data types - which may span several cruises - will be indexed separately within this metadata system in due course. - Biological Field Data Sheets recorded during this voyage have been scanned to PDF, and are available (to CSIRO Staff) on-line. See the details link under "Stored Media List" (below).

In the SANDBOX research project, we investigated the natural dynamics of the North Sea bed. As part of this research, we conducted multiple research cruises on the North Sea. The documents in this dataset explain which data was collected, when it was collected and the structure of the data repository (svn.citg.tudelft.nl/sandbox).
The Freight Analysis Framework (FAF) integrates data from a variety of sources to create a comprehensive picture of freight movement among states and major metropolitan areas by all modes of transportation. With data from the 2007 Commodity Flow Survey and additional sources, FAF version 3 (FAF3) provides estimates for tonnage, value, and domestic ton-miles by region of origin and destination, commodity type, and mode for 2007, the most recent year, and forecasts through 2040. Also included are state-to-state flows for these years plus 1997 and 2002, summary statistics, and flows by truck assigned to the highway network for 2007 and 2040.

This upload is the third version of a dataset on the RDA groups and outputs which was generated in May 2021. It is connected to a report that described a project that assessed the RDA Groups and Outcomes and their relevance for social science researchers. This datasets gives an overview of the results of this analysis, providing a list of all RDA Groups as well as an indication of the relevance for Social Sciences researchers. The project was executed by Data Archiving and Networked Services (DANS) which acted as a national RDA node in the Netherlands and as an ambassador for the social sciences within the RDA Europe Project.
This dataset contains:
- an excel overview of the RDA Working and Interest groups
- additional csv copies of the separate sheets of the excel overview
