This map indicates the maximum speed for shared mobility scooters and permitted Ebikes. These speed limits are part of the regulations providers must abide by to operate scooters and bikes in the District. Outside of these zones, the maximum speed of scooters in the District is 10 MPH.

The Automated Traffic Enforcement (ATE) is a division of the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) that uses photo enforcement cameras as a traffic calming measure to enforce traffic laws, and to reduce violations on DC’s streets and most intersections.ATE is currently enforcing Posted Speed Limit (Speed), Stop Sign (Failure to come to a complete STOP), Red-Light (Running Red-Light), Bus Lane, Bus Zone, School Bus Stop-Arm, and Truck Restriction routes.ATE locations with no coordinates are included in this data and because of that the data is in table format. Data can be mapped using Lat/Lon or X/Y MD State Plane (Meters) but there will be records with null coordinate values.

This layer is a hosted, view layer showing only Posted Speed Limit signage from the comprehensive MDOT SHA Roadway Sign Inventory. Roadway signs that share a sign support structure will be represented as stacked geometry.MDOT SHA Roadway Sign Inventory data is owned by the MDOT SHA Office of Traffic & Safety (OOTS). This data is currently updated on an annual basis.
