    Description

Dataset containing images of the project "EdgeVision against Varroa (EV2): Edge computing in defence of bees" More info about the project here

The dataset contains 37890 frames of bees, composed by 33466 frames in which the varroa is not visible, while in 4424 frames the varroa is visible. For each frame there are labels to identify the original video, if the bee is infested by the varroa (it can be infested but not visible), and the bounding box of the bee respect the frame.

These frames are extracted from the videos of https://doi.org/10.34740/kaggle/dsv/11159683

This work was (partially) supported by project no. 202277 WMAE CUP B53D23012820006, “EdgeVision against Varroa (EV2): Edge computing in defence of bees” funded by the Italian’s MUR PRIN2022 (ERC PE6) research program.

    Description

The UK Colonial Registers and Royal Navy Logbooks (CORRAL) project uses late 18th to early 20th century archive material to enhance the global coverage of daily to sub-daily weather observations by digitising Royal Navy ship's logbooks (from ships of voyages of scientific discovery and those in the service of the Hydrographic Survey) and coastal and island records contained in UK Colonial documents. This dataset contains meteorological recordings from marine sites back to the 18th Century.

These records are held at The National Archive, Kew. The ADM section includes records of the Admiralty, Naval Forces, Royal Marines, Coastguard, and related bodies, concerning all aspects of the organisation and operation of the Royal Navy and associated naval forces, over the period 1205-1998 (more details are available in the National Archives catalogue entry).

The CORRAL project deals with the following series:

ADM51: Admiralty: Captains' Logs, 1669-1853 ADM53: Admiralty: and Ministry of Defence, Navy Department: Ships' Logs 1799-1985 [Excluding Flying Squadron] ADM53 -- Flying Squadron: Admiralty: and Ministry of Defence, Navy Department: Ships' Logs 1869-1872 ADM55: Admiralty: Supplementary Logs and Journals of Ships on Exploration, 1757-1861; 1904, including logs from the voyages of James Cook.

To aid usability of this dataset an index service has been produced, linked to from this record.

    Description

The NSW SPOT6/7 imagery product is a state-wide satellite imagery product provided by Geoimage Pty Ltd for NSW Government. The images were captured September 2022 through to March 2023. The imagery scenes used to create the NSW mosaic includes Lord Howe Island. This imagery data set has been acquired through GeoImages Pty Ltd and Airbus Defence and Space. SPOT imagery products offer high resolution over broad areas using the SPOT 6/7 satellites. A SPOT satellite acquisition covers large areas in a single pass at resolutions up to 1.5m. Such precise coverage is ideal for applications at national and regional scales from 1:250,000 to 1:15,000. SPOT 6/7 also includes the benefits of the near-infrared (NIR) which enables applications for detection of features not visible to the human eye, such as detecting and monitoring vegetation health.
