About this dataset

Context

The dataset tabulates the Excel population distribution across 18 age groups. It lists the population in each age group along with the percentage population relative of the total population for Excel. The dataset can be utilized to understand the population distribution of Excel by age. For example, using this dataset, we can identify the largest age group in Excel.

Key observations

The largest age group in Excel, AL was for the group of age 45 to 49 years years with a population of 74 (15.64%), according to the ACS 2018-2022 5-Year Estimates. At the same time, the smallest age group in Excel, AL was the 85 years and over years with a population of 2 (0.42%). Detailed county and state-level ecological or descriptive data for the United States for the years 1790 to 1970 are contained in this collection. These data files contain extensive information about the social and political character of the United States, including a breakdown of population by state, race, nationality, number of families, size of the family, births, deaths, marriages, occupation, religion, and general economic conditions. Though not complete over the full time span of this study, statistics are available on such diverse subjects as total numbers of newspapers and periodicals, total capital invested in manufacturing, total numbers of educational institutions, total number of churches, taxation by state, and land surface area in square miles.

Various population statistics, including structured demographics data.

These data are mark-recapture data procured from conducting nocturnal visual surveys and live lure based trapping for brown treesnakes in the 5 hectare enclosure called USGS Closed Population or Northwest Field North (NWFN). In addition, tissue samples were collected from brown treesnakes in order to build genetic relationships among resident individuals. The population was undergoing acetaminophen based toxicant treatment from March 31 2017 - February 29 2020. Monitoring occurred from 15 October 2016 - 31 March 2020. The data file contains four sheets that report data from different pieces of the demographic response to toxicant applications. Sheet 1 "BTS Counts" reports the number of brown treesnakes known to be in the population on a given date. Sheet 2 "IPM" reports demographic values that were used to inform an integrated projection model to estimate population response, elasticity and sensitivity to toxicants. Sheet 3 "Parents" defines and identifies parental relationships between within the 2017 - 2018 cohort of births to other known snakes in the population. "Snakes Removed" gives the numerical estimate of the number of snakes that were assumed to be have killed by a given toxicant application following failure to subsequently detect them.

This data collection supplies standard monthly labor force data as well as supplemental data on work experience, income, noncash benefits, and migration. Comprehensive information is given on the employment status, occupation, and industry of persons 14 years old and older. Additional data are available concerning weeks worked and hours per week worked, reason not working full-time, total income and income components, and residence. Supplemental statistics are also given in this survey for noncash income sources. The nine sources are: food stamps, school lunch program, group health insurance, pension plan, personal health insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, CHAMPUS (military health), and energy assistance. Information on demographic characteristics, such as age, sex, race, marital status, educational level, and family structure, is available for each person in the household enumerated.
