The files in the data directory contain estimates of population and poverty.

The school districts for which we have estimates were 
identified in the **2022 school district mapping survey**,
which asked about all school districts as of January 1, 2023 and 
used school district boundaries for the 2021-2022 school year.

The 2022 estimates are consistent with the population controls and 
income concepts used in the American Community Survey single-year 
estimates.  

There is one file for each of the states, the District of Columbia, and 
the entire United States. Each file contains the FIPS state code, 
Department of Education Common Core of Data (CCD) ID numbers, District names, 
the total population, population of school-age children, and estimated 
number of school-age children in poverty related to the head of the household.

In 2023, approximately 25.5 percent of the population in Bangladesh was aged up to 14 years old. This was a decrease from 2014, when over 30 percent of the population in Bangladesh was aged up to 14 years old.

Due to the coronavirus illness (COVID-19) disruption, it would seem that this is now starting to affect the quality and coverage of some of our statistics, such as an increase in non-submissions for some datasets. We are also starting to see some different patterns in the submitted data. For CSDS, fewer patients are being referred and seen within community services. Therefore, data should be interpreted with care over the COVID-19 period. The CSDS is a patient-level dataset and has been developed to help achieve better outcomes for children, young people and adults. It provides data that will be used to commission services in a way that improves health, reduces inequalities, and supports service improvement and clinical quality. These services can include NHS Trusts, health centres, schools, mental health trusts, and local authorities. The data collected in CSDS includes personal and demographic information, diagnoses including long-term conditions and disabilities and care events plus screening activities. These statistics are classified as experimental and should be used with caution. Experimental statistics are new official statistics undergoing evaluation. They are published in order to involve users and stakeholders in their development and as a means to build in quality at an early stage. As of January 1, 2024, the number of boys outnumbered girls in every considered age group of children and teenagers in Russia. Among eight-year-olds, around one million boys and 949,200 girls resided in the country.

Among UK regions, South West England had the highest median age in 2024, at **** years, compared with just **** years in London, the regions with the lowest median age. In the future, it is expected that the median age of the UK population will continue to increase. By 2050, it will reach **** years, **** by 2075, and by the end of the century the median age will reach **** years. Challenges of an aging population As the average age of the population gets older, the UK will face numerous challenges in adapting to this demographic change. With fewer people in the labor market, the government will raise less revenue, and struggle with increased expenditure on pensions. The UK is by no means alone in facing this challenge, with several countries, particular in Southern Europe and East Asia, facing similar demographic challenges. In 2050, for example, it is expected that **** percent of the population of South Korea will be aged 65 or over.
