To measure the two variables, namely (a) population and (b) population as a percentage of the total population, we initially analyzed and categorized the data for each of the age groups. For age groups we divided it into roughly a 5 year bucket for ages between 0 and 85. For over 85, we aggregated data into a single group for all ages. Description

The statistical data generated through the administration of the Federal milk order program is recognized widely as one of the benefits of this program. These data provide comprehensive and accurate information on milk supplies, utilization, and sales, as well as class prices established under the orders and prices paid to dairy farmers (producers). The sources of this data are monthly reports of receipts and utilization, producer payroll reports, and reports of nonpool handlers filed by milk processors (handlers) subject to the provisions of the various milk orders. The local market administrator (MA) uses these reports to determine pool obligations under the order and to verify proper payments to producers. Auditors employed by the MA review handler records to assure the accuracy of reported information. Reporting errors are corrected; if necessary, pool obligations are revised. After the pool obligations have been determined the local market administrator summarizes the individual handler reports and submits a series of order summary reports to the Market Information Branch (MIB) in Dairy Programs. The MIB summarizes the individual order data and disseminates this information via monthly, bimonthly, and annual releases or publications. Since milk marketing order statistics are based on reports filed by the population of possible reporting firms and not a sample, these statistics are comprehensive. Also, since these individual firm reports are subject to audit and verification, these statistics are accurate. The Federal milk order statistics database contains historical information, beginning in January 2000, generated by the administration of the Federal milk order program. Most of the information in the database has been published previously by the Market Information Branch in Dairy Programs either on its web site or in the Dairy Market News Report. New users are encouraged to use the "User Guide" to learn how to navigate the search screens. If you are interested in a description of the Federal milk order statistics program, or want current data, in ready made table form, use the "Current Information" link.

During a November 2024 survey among marketers worldwide, 63 percent of respondents included generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) among the most important consumer trends they were watching for in 2025. Connected TV (CTV) and streaming followed closely, mentioned by 56 percent, while TikTok and social video rounded up the top three with a share of 51 percent. Generative AI in marketing Next to effective use cases of AI, such as aligning web content with search intent and improving the consumer experience on websites, AI tools in marketing are used for creative production. For example, influencers worldwide stated they were using tools such as Canva and DALL-E to generate images for their social media accounts. Moreover, entire ad campaigns exist that have been produced by prompting generative AI for creative purposes. TikTok for marketing The short-video format of TikTok has taken the scene by storm. In 2023, the Chinese platform generated solid engagement rates for all the various influencer tiers – from nano to mega. As of April 2023, TikTok was the leading global unicorn – a start-up company with a value of over one billion U.S. dollars –followed by Musk’s SpaceX. However, multiple worldwide ban discussions revolve around the social media due to its highly engaging, or as some may deem addictive, character.

The global social media marketing segment According to the same study, 59 percent of responding marketers intended to increase their organic use of YouTube for marketing purposes throughout that year. LinkedIn and Instagram followed with similar shares, rounding up the top three social media platforms attracting a planned growth in organic use among global marketers in 2024. Their main driver is increasing brand exposure and traffic, which led the ranking of benefits of social media marketing worldwide. Social media for B2B marketing Social media platform adoption rates among business-to-consumer (B2C) and business-to-business (B2B) marketers vary according to each subsegment's focus. While B2C professionals prioritize Facebook and Instagram – both run by Meta, Inc. – due to their popularity among online audiences, B2B marketers concentrate their endeavors on Microsoft-owned LinkedIn due to its goal to connect people and companies in a corporate context.

    Sun Protection Products Market Outlook

According to our latest research, the global sun protection products market size reached USD 14.7 billion in 2024, reflecting robust demand driven by rising consumer awareness and evolving lifestyle patterns. The market is forecasted to grow at a CAGR of 6.2% from 2025 to 2033, with the total value expected to reach USD 25.1 billion by 2033. This growth is primarily propelled by heightened concerns regarding skin health, increasing incidence of skin cancer, and the proliferation of innovative sun protection formulations that cater to diverse consumer needs.

One of the primary growth factors for the sun protection products market is the escalating awareness of the harmful effects of ultraviolet (UV) radiation. Consumers worldwide are becoming more educated about the risks associated with prolonged sun exposure, such as premature aging, hyperpigmentation, and the increasing prevalence of skin cancer. Campaigns led by health organizations and dermatologists have amplified the importance of daily sun protection, even in regions with moderate sunlight. This growing consciousness has directly translated into greater adoption of sun protection products, not only during outdoor activities but as part of everyday skincare routines. The integration of SPF into daily-use cosmetics and skincare items has further fueled this trend, making sun protection a year-round priority for a broader demographic.

Another significant driver is the ongoing innovation in product formulations and formats within the sun protection products market. Manufacturers are continually investing in research and development to deliver advanced solutions that address consumer concerns such as greasiness, white cast, and skin irritation. The emergence of lightweight, non-comedogenic, and water-resistant sunscreens has expanded the market’s appeal to individuals with sensitive skin and those leading active lifestyles. Additionally, the introduction of multifunctional products, such as sunscreens with anti-aging or moisturizing properties, has attracted consumers seeking comprehensive skincare solutions. The development of eco-friendly and reef-safe formulations, in response to environmental concerns, has also opened new avenues for market growth, especially in regions with stringent regulations regarding sunscreen ingredients.

The surging popularity of e-commerce and digital platforms has also played a pivotal role in shaping the sun protection products market. Online retail has democratized access to a wide array of sun protection products, enabling brands to reach consumers in remote and underserved regions. Digital marketing campaigns, influencer endorsements, and the availability of product reviews have significantly influenced consumer purchasing behavior. Furthermore, the convenience of home delivery and the ability to compare products online have contributed to the steady rise in online sales. This shift in distribution channels has compelled traditional brick-and-mortar retailers to enhance their offerings and customer experience, ultimately benefiting the overall market by broadening the consumer base and increasing product accessibility.

From a regional perspective, the Asia Pacific region has emerged as a dominant force in the sun protection products market, driven by a large population base, rising disposable incomes, and increasing awareness of skincare. North America and Europe continue to exhibit strong demand, supported by established regulatory frameworks and a high prevalence of skin cancer. Meanwhile, Latin America and the Middle East & Africa are witnessing accelerated growth due to changing lifestyles, urbanization, and heightened exposure to global skincare trends. Each region presents unique opportunities and challenges, shaping the competitive landscape and influencing product innovation and marketing strategies across the globe.
