    Description

The Gridded Population of the World, Version 4 (GPWv4): Population Count Adjusted to Match 2015 Revision of UN WPP Country Totals, Revision 11 consists of estimates of human population (number of persons per pixel) consistent with national censuses and population registers with respect to relative spatial distribution, but adjusted to match the 2015 Revision of the United Nation's World Population Prospects (UN WPP) country totals for the years 2000, 2005, 2010, 2015, and 2020.A proportional allocation gridding algorithm, utilizing approximately 13.5 million national and sub-national administrative Units, was used to assign population counts to 30 arc-second grid cells. The data files were produced as global rasters at 30 arc-second (~1 km at the equator) resolution. To enable faster global processing, and in support of research commUnities, the 30 arc-second adjusted count data were aggregated to 2.5 arc-minute, 15 arc-minute, 30 arc-minute and 1 degree resolutions.

    Description

The Gridded Population of the World, Version 3 (GPWv3): Population Count Grid, Future Estimates consists of estimates of human population for the years 2005, 2010, and 2015 by 2.5 arc-minute grid cells and associated data sets dated circa 2000. A proportional allocation gridding algorithm, utilizing more than 300,000 national and sub-national administrative Units, is used to assign population values to grid cells. The population counts that the grids are derived from are extrapolated based on a combination of subnational growth rates from census dates and national growth rates from United Nations statistics. All of the grids have been adjusted to match United Nations national level population estimates. The population count grids contain estimates of the number of persons per grid cell. The grids are available in various GIS-compatible data formats and geographic extents (global, continent [Antarctica not included], and country levels). GPWv3 is produced by the Columbia University Center for International Earth Science Information Network (CIESIN) in collaboration with Centro Internacional de Agricultura Tropical (CIAT).

Types of Abuse, Neglect and Financial Exploitation

A single APS case can have more than one allegation.

Neglect is the failure to provide the protection, food, shelter, or care necessary to avoid emotional harm or physical injury. The alleged perpetrator of the neglect may be the victim or the victim's caregiver. There are three types of neglect allegations: Physical Neglect, Medical Neglect, and Mental Health Neglect.

Other allegation types include: Financial Exploitation, Physical Abuse, Emotional or Verbal Abuse, or Sexual Abuse.

The population totals do not match prior DFPS Data Books, printed or ontline. Past population estimates are adjusted based on the U.S. Census data as it becomes available. This is important to keep the data in line with current best practices, but will cause some past counts, such as Abuse/Neglect Victims per 1,000 Texas Children, to be recalculated.

    Games Market Outlook

The global games market size was valued at USD 159.3 billion in 2023 and is projected to reach USD 303.5 billion by 2032, growing at a CAGR of 7.2% from 2024 to 2032. This robust growth is driven by several factors, including advances in technology, increasing penetration of the internet, and the growing popularity of online gaming platforms. The market is witnessing significant growth as consumers continue to demand innovative and immersive gaming experiences.

One of the primary growth factors for the games market is the rapid advancements in technology. The advent of high-speed internet, augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and artificial intelligence (AI) has revolutionized the gaming experience. These technological innovations have enabled developers to create more realistic and engaging games, attracting a larger audience. Additionally, the proliferation of mobile devices and increased accessibility to gaming platforms have further fueled market growth.

Another significant driver is the increasing popularity of eSports and online gaming. Competitive gaming has evolved into a global phenomenon, with millions of players and spectators participating in or watching tournaments. The rise of live streaming platforms like Twitch and YouTube Gaming has provided gamers with new opportunities to showcase their skills, fostering a sense of community and driving engagement. This shift towards online and competitive gaming has opened up new revenue streams for developers and publishers through sponsorships, advertising, and merchandise sales.

The growing trend of social gaming has also contributed to the market's expansion. Games are no longer just a solitary activity; they have become a means of social interaction and community building. Multiplayer online games and social gaming platforms allow players to connect with friends and other gamers worldwide. This social aspect of gaming has made it more appealing to a broader demographic, including women and older adults, further expanding the market's reach.

From a regional perspective, Asia Pacific dominates the games market, driven by the large population and high smartphone penetration in countries like China, Japan, and South Korea. North America and Europe also hold significant market shares due to the strong presence of major game developers and publishers, as well as a high level of disposable income among consumers. Emerging markets in Latin America and the Middle East & Africa are expected to witness substantial growth due to increasing internet penetration and the rising popularity of mobile gaming.

    Type Analysis

The games market can be segmented by type into video games, board games, card games, role-playing games, and others. Video games dominate this segment, accounting for the largest share due to their widespread popularity and diverse range of genres. The video game industry has evolved significantly, with advancements in graphics, gameplay mechanics, and storytelling. The rise of indie game developers has also contributed to the diversity and innovation in the video game market, providing players with unique and engaging experiences.

Board games have witnessed a resurgence in popularity in recent years, driven by the growing interest in tabletop gaming and the social aspects it offers. Modern board games, often referred to as "designer" or "Euro" games, have gained a dedicated following among enthusiasts. The board game market has also benefited from crowdfunding platforms, which have enabled independent designers to bring their projects to life and reach a global audience.

Card games, including collectible card games (CCGs) and trading card games (TCGs), remain a significant segment of the games market. Popular titles like Magic: The Gathering and Pokémon TCG have maintained strong fan bases and continue to attract new players. The digitalization of card games has also expanded their reach, allowing players to enjoy their favorite games online and compete with others worldwide.

Role-playing games (RPGs) have carved out a niche in the games market, offering players immersive and narrative-driven experiences. These games often involve complex character development, intricate storylines, and strategic gameplay. The popularity of RPGs has been bolstered by successful franchises like Dungeons & Dragons, which have expanded into video games, books, and other media. Marriage And Dating App Market Outlook

The global marriage and dating app market size was valued at USD 4.6 billion in 2023 and is projected to reach USD 10.2 billion by 2032, growing at a CAGR of 9.1% during the forecast period. This impressive growth is attributed to the increasing smartphone penetration, evolving societal norms, and the rising usage of internet services globally. The market's expansive growth trajectory showcases the evolving ways in which people connect and engage in romantic and matrimonial relationships.

One of the key growth factors for the marriage and dating app market is the rising adoption of smartphones and the internet, especially in emerging economies. As smartphones become more affordable and internet connectivity improves, a larger segment of the population gains access to these platforms. Additionally, the proliferation of high-speed internet has made it easier for users to interact via these apps, bolstering user engagement and retention rates. Coupled with the growing comfort and acceptance of online dating and marriage arrangements, the market shows a strong potential for continued expansion.

Another significant driver is the changing societal attitudes towards online dating and marriage platforms. In many parts of the world, the stigma associated with meeting partners online has diminished considerably. This shift is particularly notable among younger generations who are more tech-savvy and open to digital interactions. The convenience and expansive reach offered by these apps make them an attractive option for individuals seeking relationships. This changing mindset is instrumental in the market's growth, as it broadens the user base and encourages more people to explore these platforms.

Moreover, advancements in technology, such as artificial intelligence and machine learning, have enhanced the user experience on marriage and dating apps. These technologies enable better matching algorithms, personalized recommendations, and improved user safety features. The integration of AI-driven insights helps in providing users with compatible matches, thereby increasing the likelihood of successful connections. This improvement in user satisfaction is crucial for the market's growth, as it fosters user loyalty and drives subscription renewals.

Internet Dating has become a cornerstone of modern relationships, offering individuals the opportunity to connect with potential partners from the comfort of their own homes. The convenience and accessibility of internet dating platforms have revolutionized how people meet and form connections, transcending geographical boundaries and cultural barriers. With the rise of internet dating, users can explore a wider pool of potential matches, enhancing their chances of finding compatible partners. This digital approach to dating has also introduced new dynamics in relationship-building, where initial interactions often occur through messages and virtual dates, setting the stage for deeper connections. As internet dating continues to evolve, it plays a crucial role in shaping the future of romantic relationships, offering diverse options for individuals seeking companionship in the digital age.

From a regional perspective, North America held the largest market share in 2023, driven by the high penetration of smartphones and internet services, along with a culturally more open attitude towards online dating. However, the Asia Pacific region is expected to witness the highest growth rate during the forecast period. This surge can be attributed to the rapid urbanization, increasing disposable incomes, and a growing acceptance of online platforms for relationships in countries like India and China. The diversification in user demographics across regions is a testament to the global potential of the marriage and dating app market.

    Type Analysis

The marriage and dating app market is segmented by type into marriage apps and dating apps. Marriage apps specifically cater to individuals looking for long-term commitments and marital relationships. These platforms often incorporate detailed matchmaking algorithms, compatibility assessments, and comprehensive user profiles to facilitate serious connections. The growing trend of arranged marriages being facilitated through digital platforms in regions like Asia Pacific significantly contributes to the growth of marriage apps. Users on these platforms are typically more inclined towards finding a life partner, making the service h

Our Location Intelligence Data connects people's movements to over 14M physical locations globally. These are aggregated and anonymized data that are only used to offer context for the volume and patterns of visits to certain locations. This data feed is compiled from different data sources around the world.

Location Intelligence Data Reach: Location Intelligence data brings the POI/Place/OOH level insights calculated based on Factori’s Mobility & People Graph data aggregated from multiple data sources globally. To achieve the desired foot-traffic attribution, specific attributes are combined to bring forward the desired reach data. For instance, to calculate the foot traffic for a specific location, a combination of location ID, day of the week, and part of the day can be combined to give specific location intelligence data. There can be a maximum of 40 data records possible for one POI based on the combination of these attributes.

Data Export Methodology: Since we collect data dynamically, we provide the most updated data and insights via a best-suited method at a suitable interval (daily/weekly/monthly).

Use Case: Retail Analytics Platform: Location intelligence to analyze foot traffic patterns around retail stores, combining this data with customer profiles to gain insights into visitor demographics. These insights optimize store layouts, staffing, and product placements Marketing Campaign Optimization: Utilize location intelligence to analyze consumer behavior and preferences using geographical and demographic data for more effective audience segmentation and targeting. Emergency Response Planning Tool: To identify high-risk areas for natural disasters or emergencies and profiles to assess vulnerability and evacuation needs across different population segments Smart City Mobility Solution: Provide city planners and transportation authorities with insights to optimize transportation systems, alleviate congestion, and improve urban mobility for residents Event Planning and Venue Selection: Assists planners in selecting suitable venues that match the demographic profile and preferences of their audience

    Description

The aim of this data collection was to gauge the impact of legalized casino gambling on the level and spatial distribution of crime in the Atlantic City region by comparing crime rates before and after the introduction of this type of gambling in the area. Data for the years 1972 through 1984 were collected from various New Jersey state publications for 64 localities and include information on population size and density, population characteristics of race, age, per capita income, education and home ownership, real estate values, number of police employees and police expenditures, total city expenditure, and number of burglaries, larcenies, robberies and vehicle thefts. Spatial variables include population attributes standardized by land area in square miles, and measures of accessibility, location, and distance from Atlantic City. For the 1970/1980 data file, additional variables pertaining to population characteristics were created from census data to match economic and crime attributes found in the 1972-1984 data. Data on eight additional locations are available in the 1970/1980 file.

    Online Dating Services Market Outlook

The global online dating services market size was approximately valued at $9 billion in 2023, and it is projected to expand to $16 billion by 2032, exhibiting a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 6.5% over the forecast period. This substantial growth can be attributed to the increasing penetration of smartphones and internet connectivity worldwide, which has made online dating platforms more accessible to a broader audience. The proliferation of social media and the normalization of online relationships have significantly contributed to this upward trend, as more individuals seek convenient and effective ways to meet potential partners.

A major growth factor for the online dating services market is the shifting societal attitudes towards dating and relationships. In recent years, there has been a significant de-stigmatization of online dating, with many individuals across different age groups considering it an acceptable way to find relationships. This shift is particularly evident among younger demographics who have grown up with digital technology as an integral part of their lives. Moreover, the increased popularity of online dating platforms is also driven by the busy lifestyles of modern consumers, who find it challenging to devote time to traditional dating practices, thus turning to more efficient digital solutions.

Another key driver of market growth is the integration of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning into online dating platforms. These technologies enhance user experiences by providing more accurate matchmaking algorithms, personalized recommendations, and even safety features. AI can analyze vast amounts of data to suggest better matches, thereby increasing user satisfaction and retention. Additionally, the use of AI-driven chatbots can simulate conversations, making the initial interaction less daunting for users and fostering a more engaging environment. The incorporation of such technologies is expected to attract more users and fuel the growth of this market in the coming years.

The COVID-19 pandemic has also played a crucial role in the acceleration of online dating services. With social distancing measures in place, people were unable to meet in person, which led to a surge in the use of digital platforms for socializing and dating. This shift in behavior is anticipated to have long-lasting impacts, as users who have become accustomed to the convenience and efficiency of online dating are likely to continue utilizing these services even post-pandemic. The pandemic's influence has therefore acted as a catalyst, accelerating the adoption of online dating services and contributing to the overall growth of the market.

    Service Type Analysis

The online dating services market is segmented into various service types, including matchmaking, social dating, adult dating, and niche dating. Matchmaking services have been a longstanding pillar of the online dating industry, offering users curated matches based on compatibility algorithms. These services appeal to individuals seeking serious, long-term relationships and are often characterized by more in-depth user profiling and advanced compatibility tests. The focus on personalized matching differentiates matchmaking services from other segments and continues to attract a significant user base, contributing to their sustained growth within the market.

Social dating services, on the other hand, cater to individuals looking for casual interactions or friendships. These platforms often resemble social networks, allowing users to connect and interact more informally. The popularity of social dating services has been bolstered by the trend of integrating dating features into existing social media platforms, thereby tapping into an already vast user base. The emphasis on social interactions and community building resonates with younger users, who value the blend of social networking and dating, thus driving the growth of this segment.

Adult dating services focus on casual relationships and hookups, providing a platform for users interested in short-term or non-committal engagements. This segment has seen considerable growth, partly due to its appeal to a demographic that prioritizes flexibility and freedom in their dating lives. The rise of adult dating services is also linked to increasing openness towards diverse dating preferences and lifestyles. As societal norms continue to evolve, the demand for such services is expected to rise, contributing to the overall expansion of the online dating market.
