This data set was developed to provide general information about the location of different types of housing units in Denver. This data should not be used to ascertain whether or not income-restricted units are evenly distributed throughout Denver. A cluster analysis of address-level data has been performed by the Denver Office of Economic Development and is available at www.denvergov.org

This layer contains information on where the house districts in Colorado are, the names of the representatives that serve each district, and the party affiliation of each representative. The original shapefile is a product of the 2011 Colorado State Reapportionment Commission. DenverGIS later modified this file to match to Denver Streets and Boundarys. Schema changes were enacted to remove unnecessary fields. Updated in 2023.

The purpose of this layer is to provide an accurate representation of impervious surfaces in the City and County of Denver. This layer combines Stormwater Billing impervious surfaces with Planimetric impervious surfaces; allowing for a comprehensive, city-wide, impervious surface layer.This layer is a compilation of two independent sources of impervious surface data. The data is provided by both the City and County of Denver’s Public Works Wastewater Management Division-Customer Service (WMD-CS) and Kucera International Inc.The WMD-CS data represents areas digitized for all stormwater billing inspections after December 2002 and contains impervious surface delineations of each inspected property. These features are updated daily by WMD-CS field investigators and GIS personnel. The planimetric data, supplied by Kucera International Inc, defines the stereocompiled features of the DRCOG Denver Region Urbanized Project Area. The features were compiled from the Denver Regional Aerial Photography Project (DRAPP) 2016 Aerial Imagery Acquisition and Production. This 1"=100' scale imagery is comprised of 4-band RGBIR color orthoimagery with a GSD (Ground Sample Distance) of 0.5'. Imagery was collected with the Leica ADS40 and ADS80 digital sensors and processed with Leica XPro software. Imagery is projected in State Plane Coordinate System, Colorado central zone using the Lambert Conformal Conic map projection parameters. Horizontal and vertical datums are NAD83(11) and NAVD88(GEOID12A) respectively. The planimetric features are static.

I had not intended to comment on Legislative redistricting, but after seeing the preliminary House District map, I feel I must. The preliminary map drawn by the commission staff is a large deviation from the current map. This is highly disruptive to not only the current Reps. for those districts, but also the people who live in them, and have long identified themselves by their house district if they are politically active. The new map should look somewhat like the old one, with only minor adjustments for population shift.

I am proposing such a map. The on-line mapping tool would let me submit a

part of the state, so I took a screen shot of my map and am attaching it here. The city boundaries are clear enough, as should be the boundaries between the districts within Denver. For HD3, which is shared between Denver and Arapahoe, the southern boundary is Belleview, with a little going south of that to accommodate the city boundaries of Englewood.

This map is similar to the current one, but does more to not split
