The Variable Message System (VMS) is the electronic message boards that appear on the major highways around Birmingham.
This data shows the same message as appears on those message boards such as traffic congestion and estimate times to get to a junction.
The VMS data is updated every 30 minutes with a historic view to the data being available.
We are currently running this on a 9am to 5pm schedule as it is a proof of concept.

This dataset provides a list of the requests for a transport journey log for the export of cattle, pigs, sheep, goats and horses in accordance with Council Regulation (EC) No 1/2005 enforced in England by the Welfare of Animals (Transport) (England) Order 2006. The dataset contains the date the journey log application was received and the planned export date, the destination country of the export consignment, the species of animal being exported and if the species of animal are weaned or unweaned, the purpose of the animals being exported and if the export was cancelled. This dataset covers journey logs issued where the premises of origin of the export consignment was in England only. Council Regulation (EC) No 1/2005 does not provide a definition of 'unweaned' animals but the EU Commission have provided guidance to EU Member States to the effect that calves under the age of 60 days and lambs under the age of six weeks are considered to be unweaned.

The dataset includes all the clinical signs included in the line listings submitted with periodic safety update reports submitted to the Veterinary Medicines Directorate during a one year period. Periodic safety update reports have to be submitted to the VMD for all authorised veterinary medicines at intervals set in legislation, depending on how long the product has been on the market. These reports should include all adverse events to which the marketing authorisation holder has been made aware of during that reporting period. Individual products are not identified by product names but by therapeutic group. The dataset includes clinical signs classified according VeDDRA terminology:
SOC = system organ class
HLT = higher level term
PT = preferred term
LLT = lower level term.
Further information on VeDDRA can be found at http://www.ema.europa.eu/ema/index.jsp?curl=pages/regulation/document_listing/document_listing_000173.jsp&mid=WC0b01ac058002dea6#section3
This dataset is an archive of original data for the geophysical logging of boreholes drilled by the National Coal Board (NCB) and its successor, British Coal Corporation (BCC). Data coverage is UK wide and dates from the 1970's to the privatisation of the coal mining industry, in 1994. The dataset includes approximately 2000 field data recording tapes and processed data tapes. The processed data tapes are at various stages of processing and consist of edited data and computed (CSU) data (not available for all boreholes). The data are kept as archive copies. The data are owned by the Coal Authority (CA), as successor to the NCB and BCC, BGS being the custodian under an agreement with the Coal Authority. No full catalogue or index available yet.

The Londonwide Low Emission Zone (LEZ) was launched in February 2008. The LEZ operates to encourage the most polluting heavy (including buses, coaches, lorries and other specialist vehicles) diesel vehicles driving in London to become cleaner. The LEZ covers most of Greater London and is in operation 24 hours a day, every day of the year. Heavy vehicles must meet a minimum emission standard of pay a £100 charge.Starting 26 October 2020 heavy vehicles will have to meet even stricter standards or pay the fine.
A Unique Street Reference Number (USRN) is a unique and persistent identifier for every street, road, track, path, cycle track or cycle way in Great Britain.
Our Open USRN product contains USRNs across GB. They are the authoritative identifier assigned to and uniquely identifying streets and are essential for managing Great Britain's Highways.
OS Open USRN will enable you to start sharing and linking together information about USRNs which you can visualise with a location.

This spreadsheet contains information regarding changes made to water bodies (and their spatial representations) reported in the two WFD (Water Framework Directive) cycle RBMP (River Basin Management Plans). Please note that the Environment Agency no longer provide classification data for water bodies in Wales - this is now available from Natural Resources Wales. However, this data DOES include Wales since EA did report welsh data in Cycle 1.

The central London Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) was introduced to clean up London’s most polluted air. It started on 8 April 2019, operates in the existing central London Congestion Charge Zone, 24 hours a day, every day of the year. Vehicles must meet strict emission standards to drive in the central London ULEZ area, or pay a charge. It replaced the Toxicity Charge (T-Charge) in central London and is in addition to the Congestion Charge.
