The Governor’s Cabinet for People with Disabilities was authorized by Act 36 of 2018. It charges members with, among other things, consistent collection of data and the enforceable sharing of data. Act 36 of 2018 also charges state agencies, among others, with developing clear outcome expectations for employment that include annual baseline employment data and specific percentage goals for individuals with a disability gaining competitive integrated employment. Each agency is to complete an assessment of its progress toward meeting these goals annually and ensure that the information is publicly available and posted on its publicly accessible Internet website. By hosting some of its employment first data on this publicly accessible dashboard DHS is working towards meeting its obligations under Act 36.
