    Description

This dataset is a subset of the original diamonds dataset with more than 54,000 diamonds. It was reduced to only feature diamonds of the best cut (ideal) and clarity (IF). The context is now given by the colors from J (worst) to D (best). This dataset comes from the R-package ggplot2 (Wickham 2016). For each color, we can examine the following attributes (quantity types) of each diamond:

    Carat: Weight of the diamond

    Depth: Total depth percentage

Price: Price in US dollars [discrete]

Table: Width of top of diamond relative to widest point

    X: Length in mm

    Y: Width in mm

    Z: Depth in mm

It has a total of 7 Colors (contexts): D, E, F, G, H, I, and J. The best color is D and the worst color is J. This dataset was created to analyze whether there are differences between the colors.

    Description

This dataset is the study of thick adherent diamond layers on AlN. The txt files can be opened and analysed using any plotting software. The work describes growth of >100μm thick diamond layer adherent on aluminium nitride. While thick films failed to adhere on untreated AlN films, hydrogen/nitrogen plasma treated AlN films retained the thick diamond layers. Clear differences in zeta potential measurement confirms the surface modification due to hydrogen/nitrogen plasma treatment. Areal Raman maps showed an increase in non-diamond carbon in the initial layers of diamond grown on pre-treated AlN. The presence of non- diamond carbon has minimal effect on the interface between diamond and AlN. The surfaces studied with x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) revealed a clear distinction between pre-treated and untreated samples. The surface aluminium goes from nitrogen rich environment to an oxygen rich environment after pre-treatment. Cross section transmission electron microscopy shows a clean interface between diamond and AlN. Thermal barrier resistance between diamond and AlN was found to be in the range of 16 m$^2$K/GW which is a large improvement on the current state-of-the-art. AlNasrecvd.dat AlNH2.dat AlNH2N2.dat AlNo2.dat is the raw data for zeta potential measurments. These files can be analysed using any plotting software. Description

The DIAMAS project investigates Institutional Publishing Service Providers (IPSP) in the broadest sense, with a special focus on those publishing initiatives that do not charge fees to authors or readers. To collect information on Institutional Publishing in the ERA, a survey was conducted among IPSPs between March-May 2024. This dataset contains aggregated data from the 685 valid responses to the DIAMAS survey on Institutional Publishing.

The dataset supplements D2.3 Final IPSP landscape Report Institutional Publishing in the ERA: results from the DIAMAS survey.

    The data

    Basic aggregate tabular data

Full individual survey responses are not being shared to prevent the easy identification of respondents (in line with conditions set out in the survey questionnaire). This dataset contains full tables with aggregate data for all questions from the survey, with the exception of free-text responses, from all 685 survey respondents. This includes, per question, overall totals and percentages for the answers given as well the breakdown by both IPSP-types: institutional publishers (IPs) and service providers (SPs). Tables at country level have not been shared, as cell values often turned out to be too low to prevent potential identification of respondents. The data is available in csv and docx formats, with csv files grouped and packaged into ZIP files. Metadata describing data type, question type, as well as question response rate, is available in csv format. The R code used to generate the aggregate tables is made available as well.

    Files included in this dataset

survey_questions_data_description.csv - metadata describing data type, question type, as well as question response rate per survey question.

tables_raw_all.zip - raw tables (csv format) with aggregated data per question for all respondents, with the exception of free-text responses. Questions with multiple answers have a table for each answer option. Zip file contains 180 csv files.

tables_raw_IP.zip - as tables_raw_all.zip, for responses from institutional publishers (IP) only. Zip file contains 180 csv files.

tables_raw_SP.zip - as tables_raw_all.zip, for responses from service providers (SP) only. Zip file contains 170 csv files.

tables_formatted_all.docx - formatted tables (docx format) with aggregated data per question for all respondents, with the exception of free-text responses. Questions with multiple answers have a table for each answer option.

tables_formatted_IP.docx - as tables_formatted_all.docx, for responses from institutional publishers (IP) only.

tables_formatted_SP.docx - as tables_formatted_all.docx, for responses from service providers (SP) only.

    Description

Water-rich regions in Earth’s deeper mantle are suspected to play a key role in the global water budget and the mobility of heat-generating elements. We show that ice-VII occurs as inclusions in natural diamond and serves as an indicator for such water-rich regions. Ice-VII, the residue of aqueous fluid present during growth of diamond, crystallizes upon ascent of the host diamonds but remains at pressures as high as 24 gigapascals; it is now recognized as a mineral by the International Mineralogical Association. In particular, ice-VII in diamonds points toward fluid-rich locations in the upper transition zone and around the 660-kilometer boundary.

The data presented in this dataset is derived from the U.S. Census Bureau American Community Survey (ACS) 2019-2023 5-Year Estimates. It presents the median household income from the years 2010 to 2023 following an initial analysis and categorization of the census data. Subsequently, we adjusted these figures for inflation using the Consumer Price Index retroactive series via current methods (R-CPI-U-RS). About this dataset

    Context

The dataset illustrates the median household income in Diamond, spanning the years from 2010 to 2023, with all figures adjusted to 2023 inflation-adjusted dollars. Based on the latest 2019-2023 5-Year Estimates from the American Community Survey, it displays how income varied over the last decade. The dataset can be utilized to gain insights into median household income trends and explore income variations.

    Key observations:

From 2010 to 2023, the median household income for Diamond increased by $25,785 (53.48%), as per the American Community Survey estimates. In comparison, median household income for the United States increased by $5,602 (7.68%) between 2010 and 2023.

Analyzing the trend in median household income between the years 2010 and 2023, spanning 13 annual cycles, we observed that median household income, when adjusted for 2023 inflation using the Consumer Price Index retroactive series (R-CPI-U-RS), experienced growth year by year for 8 years and declined for 5 years.
