The Parcel layer consists of parcels that are areas land in which the Department of Natural Resources holds some interest and are located anywhere in the upland area of the State of Washington. Three types of Parcels are currently held in the parcel layer. The number of Parcel types may increase in the future. Ownership Parcels, parcel type code 1, consist of Washington State owned land managed by the Department of Natural Resources. Most ownership parcels are held and managed for the benefit of some trust such as the Common School and Indemnity trust. Of the several parcel types, only Ownership Parcels represent the entire extent of the particular type of land managed by DNR. The other parcel types are incomplete data sets. Disposed Parcels, parcel type code 2, consist of ownership parcels that have been disposed of since July 1, 2007. A very few parcels disposed of prior to that date are also included. Easement Parcels, parcel type code 3, consist of various types of easements acquired for the State by the Department. Some of the Easements are negative easements over land not owned by the State, for example Conservation Easements which remove certain development rights away for the parcel owner. Other Easements are positive rights acquired by the State, such as roadway easements.

Also called the EVOS Interactive Parcel Map, this catalog allows you to view information about lands acquired through the EVOS Habitat Protection Program, including acreage as well as state, federal, or other interests in the properties.
The Habitat Protection Program is funded through the EVOS Trust Fund, which was established as part of the settlement of the State’s litigation against ExxonMobil following the Exxon Valdez oil spill in 1989. The Trust Fund is used, in part, to purchase high-value habitat within the spill area to protect resources and services injured by the spill.
Habitat Acquired
As of 2020, the EVOS Trust Fund has been used to conserve approximately 650,000 acres of land in Prince William Sound, the Kenai Peninsula, and the Kodiak Archipelago, including:
Over 1,400 miles of coastal habitats and more than 300 anadromous rivers, streams and spawning areas, which are now available for public access and recreation, including hunting and fishing.
Many small parcels, typically encompassing strategically located habitats, such as coves, important stretches of river, the mouths of rivers, or land adjacent to valuable tidelands.
Over 1,800 acres along the Kenai and Kasilof Rivers and their watersheds, including several miles of shoreline.
Over 3,200 acres along the Moose River, a major sockeye salmon producer that feeds into the Kenai River.
Over 170 acres on the Anchor River, including more than two miles of river frontage and 500 acres of contiguous intact floodplain communities, providing important spawning and rearing habitat for four species of salmon and the largest steelhead run in Cook Inlet.
Other parcels in Prince William Sound and on Kodiak Island and Northern Afognak Island, all of which have been identified as high priority for habitat protection.

Minnesota's 58 state forests were established to produce timber and other forest crops, provide outdoor recreation, protect watersheds, and perpetuate rare and distinctive species of native flora and fauna. The mapped boundaries are based on legislative/statutory language and are described in broad terms based on legal descriptions. Private or other ownerships included inside a State Forest boundary are typically NOT identified in legislative language and subsequently are NOT mapped in this layer. It is important to note that these data do not represent public ownership. State Forest boundaries often include private land and should not be used to determine ownership. This theme shows State Forest lands outside of the State Forest Statutory Boundaries. It was derived from MNDNR's Land Records System PLS40 data layer. Sub-40 shapes are not represented. Participants in the LIR work group included representatives from county, regional, and state government, including the Utah Association of Counties (County Assessors and County Recorders), Wasatch Front Regional Council, Mountainland and Bear River AOGs, Utah League of Cities and Towns, UDOT, DNR, AGRC, the Division of Emergency Management, Blue Stakes, economic developers, and academic researchers. The LIR work group’s recommendations set the stage for voluntary sharing of additional objective/quantitative parcel GIS data, primarily around tax assessment-related information. Specifically the recommendations document establishes objectives, principles (including the role of local and state government), data content items, expected users, and a general process for data aggregation and publishing. An important realization made by the group was that ‘parcel data’ or ‘parcel record’ products have a different meaning to different users and data stewards. The LIR group focused, specifically, on defining a data sharing recommendation around a tax year parcel GIS data product, aligned with the finalization of the property tax roll by County Assessors on May 22nd of each year. This shape file characterizes the geographic representation of land parcels within the State of Alaska contained by the Base - Survey Boundary category. It has been extracted from data sets used to produce the State status plats. This data set includes cases noted on the digital status plats up to one day prior to data extraction.
Each state survey feature has an associated attribute record, including a Land Administration System (LAS) file-type and file-number which serves as an index to related LAS case-file information. Beginning in the late 1840s, the federal government began surveying Minnesota as part of the Public Land Survey System (PLSS). The existence of government lots within a quarter-quarter section is recorded in the data set; however, the government lot boundaries were not digitized. If a quarter-quarter section contains more than one government lot, the number of lots is recorded -- see Lineage, Section 2, for more detail. Note: For most uses, TRSQ has been superseded by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) 1:24,000-scale 'Control Point Generated PLS' data set which is free online. The Parcel layer consists of parcels that are areas land in which the Department of Natural Resources holds some interest and are located anywhere in the upland area of the State of Washington. Three types of Parcels are currently held in the parcel layer. The number of Parcel types may increase in the future. Ownership Parcels, parcel type code 1, consist of Washington State owned land managed by the Department of Natural Resources. Most ownership parcels are held and managed for the benefit of some trust such as the Common School and Indemnity trust. Of the several parcel types, only Ownership Parcels represent the entire extent of the particular type of land managed by DNR. The other parcel types are incomplete data sets. Disposed Parcels, parcel type code 2, consist of ownership parcels that have been disposed of since July 1, 2007. A very few parcels disposed of prior to that date are also included. Easement Parcels, parcel type code 3, consist of various types of easements acquired for the State by the Department. Some of the Easements are negative easements over land not owned by the State, for example Conservation Easements which remove certain development rights away for the parcel owner. Other Easements are positive rights acquired by the State, such as roadway easements.
