The DataHub is the Chesapeake Bay Program’s primary tool for searching and downloading environmental data for the Chesapeake Bay watershed. It provides access to several types of data related to the Chesapeake Bay. Databases can be queried by geographic region and date range, and queries result in downloadable, tab- or comma-delimited text files that can be imported to any program (e.g., SAS, Excel, Access) for further analysis. Databases include:
Water Quality: Water quality and calculated physical and nutrient parameters. Living Resources: Tidal plankton (phytoplankton, picoplankton, mesozooplankton and microzooplankton), tidal benthic invertebrates (counts, biomass, sediment, water quality and indicator metrics) and nontidal benthic invertebrates (counts, water quality, habitat and indicator metrics). Fluorescence Data: Fluorescence, chlorophyll a, phytoplankton, and vertical and horizontal profiles. Toxics: Physical and nutrient parameters.

TwitterThe Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO), within the District of Columbia (DC) government, manages the District’s data program. This includes open data, data curation, data integration, data storage, data science, data application development and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The open data handbook explains the process and steps OCTO undertakes when an agency submits an open dataset for publication. The handbook outlines dataset rules, documentation requirements, and policies to make data consistent and standardized. This applies to any dataset submitted for publication on the Open Data DC portal that is classified as Level 0: Open as defined in the District’s Data Policy. For previous versions of the handbook visit https://opendata.dc.gov/pages/handbook.

TwitterThis data depicts aquatic aerial fire retardant avoidance areas delivered as part of the 2011 Nationwide Aerial Application of Fire Retardant on National Forest System Land Environmental Impact Statement, the 2023 Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement, and the 2024 Record of Decision. This data shows areas where the aerial application of fire retardant should be avoided in order to prevent the potential of impacts to aquatic features across National Forest lands. The data is based on the high resolution National Hydrographic Dataset (NHD) produced by USGS. Each National Forest has the opportunity annually to modify the default NHD water representation (300ft buffer around all perennial and intermittent water features) to more accurately represent aquatic aerial fire retardant avoidance areas. This data is to be used in planning and implementation phases of U.S. Forest Service fire activities to help prevent intrusions of aerial fire retardant in these aquatic areas throughout National Forest lands. Provided here is a regionally merged dataset. This data has been merged, dissolved, and erased of attributes contained in each original component dataset. For this purpose, specific attributes are not necessary, as any spatial areas depicted simply show areas where aerial fire retardant use is to be avoided as stated in U.S. Forest Service guidelines.

This data shows areas, provided by each National Forest, where the aerial application of fire retardant should be avoided in order to prevent the potential of impacts to Federally listed threatened or endangered species as identified through consultation, or Forest Service sensitive species. This data is to be used in planning and implementation phases of U.S. Forest Service fire activities to help prevent intrusions of aerial fire retardant in known areas of TEPCS (Threatened, Endangered, Proposed, Candidate, Sensitive) species throughout National Forest lands. Provided here is a National merged dataset derived from each National Forest contribution. This data has been merged, dissolved, and erased of attributes contained in each original component dataset. For this purpose, specific attributes are not necessary, as any spatial areas depicted simply show areas where aerial fire retardant use is to be avoided as stated in U.S. Forest Service guidelines.

TwitterThe Document Conversion and Retrieval System (DOCRS) is a repository of building construction and real property based documents that have been completed. The documents are archival in nature and the system is accessed by CFM personnel and authorized station engineering personnel. Access to these documents limited due to security concerns because many of the documents are building plans type documents for structures throughout the VA. DOCRS is a web based system hosted within the VA intranet.
