    Description

10-foot elevation contours for the extent of the state of Indiana, created from downloading, projecting and combining several datasets from USGS based on 7.5-minute quadrangle boundaries. These vector contour lines are derived from the 3D Elevation Program using automated and semi-automated processes. They were created to support 1:24,000-scale CONUS and Hawaii, 1:25,000-scale Alaska, and 1:20,000-scale Puerto Rico / US Virgin Island topographic map products, but are also published in this GIS vector format. Contour intervals are assigned by 7.5-minute quadrangle, so this vector dataset is not visually seamless across quadrangle boundaries. The vector lines have elevation attributes (in feet above mean sea level on NAVD88), but this dataset does not carry line symbols or annotation. Description

This datasets contain a statewide coverage of contours.

    • 500 foot contours derived from the 10 meter National Elevation Dataset’s (NED) Digital Elevation Model (DEM).

    • 2 meter contours derived from 2 meter LiDAR for Salt Lake County. No smoothing has been applied to the contour data but a ‘Smooth Line’ in ArcMap with a ’50 meter Smoothing Tolerance’ cleans the data up nicely. Although the data is refered to as 2 meter, the contour intervals are .5 meter. SLCo_2m_Index is a shapefile that can be used to determine what files to download. These contour shapefiles cover 4,000 X 4,000 meter blocks. This data has a UTM NAD83 meters projection.

    Description

This dataset contains download links for the contours mapped over the Brisbane City Council local government area in 2002. The contours data uses the Geocentric Datum of Australia 1994 (GDA94) datum and is projected in Zone 56 of the Map Grid of Australia (MGA56).

    Dataset Downloads

The dataset map provides two download options for each grid envelope:

DWG: Predefined attachments associated with the grid envelope.

JSON: Uses the ESRI Rest API to extract complete contour lines, that have any part of the contour line, within the grid envelope. This option allows you to define a custom envelope.

To download a file in the dataset map, click on a grid envelope, select the download type, click the download link.

    Custom Envelope

If you need contour lines for a specific area, you can create a custom envelope. By following these steps, you can easily download contour lines for any specific area within the dataset:

Determine Custom Coordinates: Find the latitude and longitude (coordinates) for the top-left and bottom-right corners of your specific area.

Replace Coordinates: Replace the coordinates in any JSON download link with your custom coordinates.

    Coordinate Format

The coordinate format in the JSON download links is: (top left corner)longitude, latitude,(bottom right corner)longitude, latitude

The Data and resources section of this dataset contains further information for this dataset including links to additional contours feature layers.

    Description

The High Resolution Digital Elevation Model (HRDEM) product is derived from airborne LiDAR data (mainly in the south) and satellite images in the north. The complete coverage of the Canadian territory is gradually being established. It includes a Digital Terrain Model (DTM), a Digital Surface Model (DSM) and other derived data. For DTM datasets, derived data available are slope, aspect, shaded relief, color relief and color shaded relief maps and for DSM datasets, derived data available are shaded relief, color relief and color shaded relief maps. The productive forest line is used to separate the northern and the southern parts of the country. This line is approximate and may change based on requirements. In the southern part of the country (south of the productive forest line), DTM and DSM datasets are generated from airborne LiDAR data. They are offered at a 1 m or 2 m resolution and projected to the UTM NAD83 (CSRS) coordinate system and the corresponding zones. The datasets at a 1 m resolution cover an area of 10 km x 10 km while datasets at a 2 m resolution cover an area of 20 km by 20 km. In the northern part of the country (north of the productive forest line), due to the low density of vegetation and infrastructure, only DSM datasets are generally generated. Most of these datasets have optical digital images as their source data. They are generated at a 2 m resolution using the Polar Stereographic North coordinate system referenced to WGS84 horizontal datum or UTM NAD83 (CSRS) coordinate system. Each dataset covers an area of 50 km by 50 km. For some locations in the north, DSM and DTM datasets can also be generated from airborne LiDAR data. In this case, these products will be generated with the same specifications as those generated from airborne LiDAR in the southern part of the country. The HRDEM product is referenced to the Canadian Geodetic Vertical Datum of 2013 (CGVD2013), which is now the reference standard for heights across Canada. Source data for HRDEM datasets is acquired through multiple projects with different partners. Since data is being acquired by project, there is no integration or edgematching done between projects. The tiles are aligned within each project. The product High Resolution Digital Elevation Model (HRDEM) is part of the CanElevation Series created in support to the National Elevation Data Strategy implemented by NRCan. Collaboration is a key factor to the success of the National Elevation Data Strategy. Refer to the “Supporting Document” section to access the list of the different partners including links to their respective data.

Ruch 2ft Contours Use the app to find the downloadable area within Jackson County - 2 Foot Contour MapThe 2-foot Contour Map shows contours that were derived from several different LiDAR projects in the Rogue Valley over the last 10 years. The map can be used to both download and view the contour data. To use the map, search or zoom in to an address. When zoomed in to a specific scale, the map will change from the downloadable areas layer to 2-foot interval contour lines. The LiDAR Project Dates layer can be used to identify the date when the elevation was collected in an area. Please note that data is available only for the valley floor areas at this time. The 2ft contours were created from 1-meter pixel DEM and then cleaned to remove very small elevation changes and to create a smooth contour line. This information should not be used to create topographic surveys or other applications where the precise elevation of a location is required. For additional information on LiDAR in Oregon or to download the source data, please visit the DOGAMI Lidar Viewer. The downloadable data is a zipped ESRI Shapefile and is projected to Oregon State Plane South (Intl Feet) with NAD 1983 datum.

    Description

This web service depicts raster contour lines that are generated on-the-fly from 3-ft. NC Dept. of Public Safety DEMs using the ArcGIS contour function. They are created for visualization and have been smoothed for a more cartographic-pleasing appearance. These contour lines do not have elevation values attached to them. However, if displayed in a GIS application, an "identify" on the map will display the elevation value of the contour based on the 3-ft. DEM source. This contour layer can be overlaid on a map and provide information regarding terrain without obscuring the underlying data. The contour interval is 1 ft.The DEMs these raster contours are based on can be downloaded from the Direct Data Downloads section on the NCOneMap.gov website. Unsmoothed vector contour lines can also be downloaded.

    Description

The USGS Elevation Contours service from The National Map (TNM) consists of contours generated for the conterminous United States from 1- and 1/3 arc-second elevation data. Small scale contours derived from 1 arc-second data are displayed at scales ranging from 1:577K to 1:72K in The National Map viewer. Contour intervals are 100 foot between 1:577K and 1:144K, and 50 foot at 1:72K. Large scale contours derived from 1/3 arc-second data are displayed at 1:50K (and larger). Large scale contour intervals are variable across the United States depending on complexity of topography. The National Map viewer allows free downloads of public domain contour data in either Esri File Geodatabase or Shapefile formats. The 3D Elevation Program (3DEP) provides elevation data for The National Map and basic elevation information for earth science studies and mapping applications. Scientists and resource managers use elevation data for global change research, hydrologic modeling, resource monitoring, mapping and visualization, and many other applications. For additional information on 3DEP, go to http://nationalmap.gov/3DEP/.

This dataset is very large and detailed. As a result, there is no option to download a single dataset of the entire City as a shapefile (.shp) since it would exceed the 2 GB file size limit. If you intend to use this data in a CAD program, you should download the zone(s) in shapefile format and attach the data to your project.
