    Description

The USGS NAIP Imagery service from The National Map consists of 4-band high resolution images that combine the visual attributes of an aerial photograph with the spatial accuracy and reliability of a map. Resolution of National Agriculture Imagery Program (NAIP) data is most commonly 1 meter, which means that every pixel in the digital orthoimage covers a one meter square of the earth’s surface. Some states to include Wyoming and New York began collection of 0.5 meter pixel resolution NAIP in 2015. Many states contribute orthoimagery to The National Map, and USGS relies on a partnership with the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Farm Service Agency for NAIP data. The USGS NAIP Imagery service is a mosaic of natural color and color infrared (4-band) aerial imagery, containing NAIP and other imagery sources to complete the mosaic. The National Map download client allows free downloads of public domain compressed orthoimagery in JPEG 2000 (.jp2) format for the conterminous United States, with many urban areas and other locations at 1-foot (or better) resolution, also in JPEG 2000 (.jp2) format. For additional information on orthoimagery, go to https://nationalmap.gov/ortho.html. This imagery service is for viewing only, no downloading of the raster images available. Provides the ArcGIS Rest Services URLs for the public facing, most current year 1-meter or higher resolution 4-band NAIP web services for the lower 48 states, served by USDA-FSA Aerial Photography Field Office. It also provides the URL for the seamline services, which provides the image dates and other pertinent information about the NAIP acquisition. In addition, there are reference points to how to download NAIP CCMs and how to order uncompressed NAIP digital ortho quarter quad tiles (DOQQs), historical NAIP, and other historical imagery dating back to 1955.

This Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) imagery layer features recent high-resolution (1m or better) aerial imagery for the continental United States, made available by the USDA Farm Services Agency. The National Agriculture Imagery Program (NAIP) acquires aerial imagery during the agricultural growing seasons in the continental United States. Approximately half of the US is collected each year and each state is typically collected every other year. This imagery layer is updated annually as new imagery is made available. The NAIP program aims to make the imagery available to governmental agencies and to the public within a year of collection. The imagery is published in 4-bands (Red, Green, Blue, and Near Infrared) where available. Additional NAIP renderings include Natural Color and Color Infrared. This layer currently includes NAIP imagery from 2010 through 2023. You can discover and access other maps and layers available for NAIP through the Living Atlas of the World and through the NAIP Imagery group. All imagery in this layer is sourced from the NAIP Registry of Open Data on AWS.

    Description

This dataset contains satellite imagery of 4,454 power plants within the United States. The imagery is provided at two resolutions: 1m (4-band NAIP iamgery with near-infrared) and 30m (Landsat 8, pansharpened to 15m). The NAIP imagery is available for the U.S. and Landsat 8 is available globally. This dataset may be of value for computer vision work, machine learning, as well as energy and environmental analyses.Additionally, annotations of the specific locations of the spatial extent of the power plants in each image is provided. These annotations were collected via the crowdsourcing platform, Amazon Mechanical Turk, using multiple annotators for each image to ensure quality. Links to the sources of the imagery data, the annotation tool, and the team that created the dataset are included in the "References" section. To read more on these data, please refer to the "Power Plant Satellite Imagery Dataset Overview.pdf" file. To download a sample of the data without downloading the entire dataset, download "sample.zip" which includes two sample powerplants and the NAIP, Landsat 8, and binary annotations for each.Note: the NAIP imagery may appear "washed out" when viewed in standard image viewing software because it includes a near-infrared band in addition to the standard RGB data.

The Pléiades ESA archive is a dataset of Pléiades-1A and 1B products that ESA collected over the years. The dataset regularly grows as ESA collects new Pléiades products. Pléiades Primary and Ortho products can be available in the following modes: Panchromatic image at 0.5 m resolution Pansharpened colour image at 0.5 m resolution Multispectral image in 4 spectral bands at 2 m resolution Bundle (0.5 m panchromatic image + 2 m multispectral image) Spatial coverage: Check the spatial coverage of the collection on a map available on the Third Party Missions Dissemination Service. As per ESA policy, very high-resolution imagery of conflict areas cannot be provided.

Tree canopy digitized from aerial images using a supervised image classification method. Aerial images were flown over Austin, TX in 2010 during the "leaf-on" agricultural growing season and are sourced from the U.S. Department of Agriculture's National Agriculture Imagery Program (NAIP). Data are updated every 4 years and each update is provided as a separate dataset. For historical data, search for tree canopy 2006, 2014, and 2018. The NAIP imagery resolution for 2010 is 1m (~3.3 feet). This is 4-band imagery (Red, Green, Blue, and Infrared bands) available in both true color and color-infrared. Tree canopy data is provided in both raster and vector GIS formats housed in a Geodatabase. Download and unzip the folder to get started. Please note, errors may exist in this dataset due to the variation in species composition and land use found across the study area. Description

Assessing the physical change to shorelines and wetlands is critical in determining the resiliency of wetland systems that protect adjacent habitat and communities. The wetland and back-barrier shorelines of New Jersey changed as a result of wave action and storm surge that occurred during Hurricane Sandy, which made landfall on October 29, 2012. The impact of Hurricane Sandy will be assessed and placed in its historical context to understand the future vulnerability of wetland systems. Making these assessments will rely on data extracted from current and historical resources such as maps, aerial photographs, satellite imagery, and lidar elevation data, which document physical changes over time. This USGS Data Series publication includes several open-ocean shorelines, back-island shorelines, back-island shoreline points, sand area polygons, and sand lines for the undeveloped areas of New Jersey that were extracted from orthoimagery (ortho aerial photography) dated from March 9, 1991 to July 30, 2013. This data-set consists of lines that comprise the inland extent of the main body of sand (beach/dune/overwash area) found in the orthoimagery taken on the date specified in the filename and in the "Date_" field in the feature attribute table. They are based on the sand area polygons, nj_sandpo_.shp, that are included in this Data Series publication and can be accessed via the Data Download page. Orthoimagery of New Jersey were acquired in digital format from U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), and New Jersey Geographic Information Network (NJGIN). The following list provides additional details about the orthoimagery used. The sand lines are organized by area with all dates for each area compiled into one data-set (shapefile) named nj_sandln_
