    Description
DSHS and the state Health Care Authority (HCA) jointly designated Regional Service Areas (RSAs) in June 2015, following legislative authorization in 2014. RSAs define new geographical boundaries for the state to purchase behavioral and physical health care through managed care contracts. They are not administrative authorities. Behavioral Health Organizations (BHOs) are located within newly formed Regional Service Areas (RSAs). There is one BHO per RSA, except for the Southwest Washington RSA, which has a contract with the Health Care Authority for managed care plans. RSAs join and include contiguous counties, contain at least 60,000 people on Medicaid, possess an adequate number of health care providers, and reflect natural physical and behavioral health service referral patterns. More information on BHOs is available at this link (https://www.dshs.wa.gov/bha/division-behavioral-health-and-recovery/behavioral-health-organizations).

Estimates of persons with disabilities or other support needs by Census tract in Washington State. DSHS prepared estimates of persons with disabilities or other support needs in Washington Census tracts using data from the US Census Bureau’s 2012 American Community Survey. The estimates were prepared for DSHS and the Washington Department of Health to assist in emergency preparedness planning for Washington jurisdictions.

Only 5-year estimates (2008-2012) are available for Census tracts.

Estimated counts, percentages, margins of error (MOEs) of counts and percentages by Census tract have been calculated for the following characteristics: Persons with Disabilities, Hearing Difficulty, Vision Difficulty, Cognitive Difficulty, Ambulatory Difficulty, Self-Care Difficulty, Independent Living Difficulty, Persons with Two or More Disabilities, Persons with Disabilities and in Poverty, Persons in Groups Quarters, Households Without Vehicles, Persons Speaking English less than "Very Well," Persons in Poverty.

Information Security Category 1 - Public InformationThe Washington State Department of Social and Health Services, Behavioral Health Administration, Office of Forensic Mental Health Services Trueblood et al v. Washington State DSHS page links the Trueblood Implementation Plan, in which phased implementation regions are identified. The plan notes that the implementation regions are based on the Washington State Managed Care Organizations (MCO) and Administrative Service Organizations (ASO) regions. Further investigation reveals that both of these types of regions are based on Washington State Health Care Authority Integrated Managed Care Regions, which are in turn composed of Washington State County boundaries.“Trueblood” is an alias that refers to Cassie Cordell Trueblood, next friend of A.B., an incapacitated person, et al., v. The Washington State Department Of Social And Health Services, et al., Case No. 2:14-cv-01178-MJP.Horizontal Accuracy note - The Trueblood Implementation Regions boundaries are derived from 2010 US Census County boundaries. These boundaries are known to have significant discrepancies with survey-quality county boundary data available from Washington State Department of Natural Resources. Therefore, care should be taken to avoid making any final determinations regarding the Trueblood Implementation Region in which is located a high-accuracy feature such as a physical address when it is near a region boundary.

Information Security Category 1 - Public InformationThese are the current administrative reporting regions within which the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services manages its resources and provides its services. This data contains current regions at the highest level of the DSHS organizational hierarchy. Boundaries are composed of dissolved Washington State County boundaries that are sourced from the U.S. Census Bureau's decadal census county geography that WA Office of Financial Management extracts from the U.S. Census Bureau's TIGER/Line database. The records in this data are updated with the decadal boundaries (which change over time) and also when DSHS changes its administrative regions and organizational unit names.Current region features have a GDLActiveRecord field value of 1 - Active.Region records with unknown effective dates have a StartDate field value of 7/1/1970 - the date when Washington State established its DSHS agency.Location accuracy - The current DSHS Administrative Regions boundaries are derived from WA OFM's 2020 Census County boundaries. These boundaries can have noteworthy discrepancies with the most recent survey-quality county boundary data available from Washington State Department of Natural Resources. Therefore, care should be taken to avoid making any final determinations regarding the DSHS Administrative region in which is located a high-location-accuracy feature such as a residential address when it is near a region boundary.

    Description

The ultimate goal of HIV treatment is to achieve viral suppression, which means the amount of HIV in the body is very low or undetectable. This is important for people with HIV to stay healthy, have improved quality of life, and live longer. People living with HIV who maintain viral suppression have effectively no risk of passing HIV to others. Texas DSHS is the source of this data. Diagnosed- received a diagnosis of HIV Linked to care-visited an HIV heath care provider within 1 month (30 days) after learning they were HIV positive Received- or were retained in care** received medical care for HIV infection Viral suppression- their HIV “viral load” – the amount of HIV in the blood – was at a very low level.

    Description

This joined view service combines data from the Texas Department of State Health Services with an enriched zip code service. The enriched zip code data was created using the ArcGIS Online enrichment tool. The resulting service provides users with detailed demographic information from the American Community Survey data by for each zip code within the city of Dallas. The Covid-19 Vaccination data comes from the Texas Department of State of Health services. The service with the DSHS data can be found at https://dallasgis.maps.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=298df34bc7ca4c30a4fa423e80902a79#overview. The DSHS vaccination data is updated weekly each Monday at 6 PM CST. For more information about the Texas Immunization Registry, ImmTrac2, please visit https://www.dshs.texas.gov/immunize/immtrac/default.shtmMore data below:Zip codes are an approximation of delivery routes from the US Postal Service. There is not an authoritative GIS layer for US Postal zip codes, but an approximation at best. Numerous articles exist. One is here: https://carto.com/blog/zip-codes-spatial-analysis/ explaining the reason why zip codes are not good for geospatial analysis.
