This real estate dataset details parcel information for DuPage County, Illinois. The dataset was created and is maintained by the DuPage County Information Technology Department, GIS Division in conjunction with the DuPage County Clerk for the visual and spatial representation of deeds, road rights-of-way, and subdivision plats. The data are complete up to and including Assessment Year 2012. -- "Assessment Year" refers to a complete inventory list of all parcels including billing address and taxing body jurisdictional boundaries by January 1st of the assessment year. In DuPage County, this is information is maintained in a County provided assessment administration computer system. The feature class contains the Assessment Parcels Current as well as the current Real Estate File Current which is joined to the parcels on a weekly basis (see feature class name for the date of creation).

'This file is a digital geospatial Environmental Systems Research Institute (Esri) ArcGIS polygon feature class of the tile index for Cook, DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kendall, Lake, McHenry, and Will County, Illinois. Each tile is 2,500' on a side, and covers an area of 6,250,000 square feet or 143 acres. There are a total of 18,905 tiles, and each tile represents the boundary or extent of each ortho image. This dataset includes a coordinate based tile identification number, a delivery area number, and a project tile category. The delivery area numbers and project tile attributes are a proprietary classification that are unique to this project. This dataset is stored within an ArcGIS 10.1 geodatabase. This dataset is projected using the Transverse Mercator map projection. The grid coordinate system used is the Illinois State Plane Coordinate System, East Zone (Zone Number Zone 3776, FIPS 1201), NAD 83 NSRS2007 (horizontal datum), with ground coordinates expressed in U.S. Survey Feet.'An orthoimage is remotely sensed image data in which displacement of features in the image caused by terrain relief and sensor orientation have been mathematically removed. Orthoimagery combines the image characteristics of a photograph with the geometric qualities of a map. There is no image overlap between adjacent files. Data received at Earth Resources Observation and Science Center (EROS) were reprojected from: Projection: NAD_1983_HARN_StatePlane_Illinois_East_FIPS_1201 Resolution: 6 inch Type: 4 Band to: Standard Product Projection: NAD_1983_UTM_Zone_16N Standard Product Resolution: 0.1500 m Rows: 10000 Columns: 10000 and resampled to align to the U.S. National Grid (USNG) using The National Map. The naming convention is based on the U.S. National Grid (USNG), taking the coordinates of the SW corner of the orthoimage. The metadata were imported and updated for display through The National Map at http://nationalmap.gov/viewer.html Chip-level metadata are provided in HTML and XML format. Data were compressed utilizing IAS software. The compression was JPEG2000 Lossy Compressed. The file format created was .jp2.

Tick Reports map shows locations and counts of public-reported ticks in DuPage Co for the 2021 season. In addition to Lyme disease, ticks are a significant carrier of West Nile Virus (WNV). The DuPage Health Dept. utilizes a suite of maps - Tick Reports, Bird Deaths, and WNV - to help track WNV in the County and to promote public awareness and education. These maps will be updated weekly throughout the season.

2015 Land Use Inventory:This file is a digital geospatial Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI) ArcGIS version 10.x File Geodatabase Polygon Feature Class representing land use in the seven northeastern Illinois counties (Cook, DuPage, Kane, Kendall, Lake, McHenry and Will). Land use is identified to nearly 60 categories, and was created using county parcel GIS boundaries and Assessor data, along with color orthorectificed aerial photography captured in the spring of 2015. Land uses were assigned to parcels using a combination of automated and manual techniques, using a variety of reference data sets for land use identification and validation. This dataset is considered an update of the 2013 parcel-based Land Use Inventory, and the primary focus was on parcels whose assessment records or geometry had changed between 2013 - 2015, suggesting a change in land use. Parcels were then dissolved on common land uses (to the limits of PLS sections or assessor blocks); polygons were generated for “non-parcel” (water, right-of-way) areas and classified using automated processes, and extensive topological cleaning was necessary to minimize gap/overlap issues. Hydrography Polygons Representing DuPage County, Illinois hydrography: lakes, ponds, wetlands, rivers, streams, creeks, and ditch polygons. The DuPage County surface hydrography coverage reflect extensions to the original surface hydrography ARC/INFO coverage that was built from 1:2400 scale aerial photography and planimetric mapping. The original 1991-92 coverage embraced a simple line-based structure with no polygon definitions. Extensions to the original coverage structure are meant to accommodate more sophisticated Department GIS application needs such as area-based (polygon) measurements, attribute driven thematic displays, network modeling to support hydrologic/hydraulic flow routing, and stream corridor management. An extensive quality control effort was completed in 1996. Updated Spring\Fall 2006 using most current orthophotography. Additional updates have been made to this dataset, and have been completed using the Spring 2013 orthophotography. Updates will be made as needed.
