    Description

The Equity Budget Analysis (EBA) is a crucial tool in guiding us to critically evaluate the impact of our decisions on both our community and staff. The City of Tucson is committed to embracing diversity and ensuring equitable outcomes from our services and practices for all, regardless of individuals' social or economic backgrounds. In our planning and budgeting processes, it's common to operate under the assumption that our actions inherently benefit everyone. However, at times, immediate concerns may inadvertently overshadow our core values. This highlights the necessity of being explicit in our efforts to foster equity and scrutinize whether the allocated resources are effectively contributing to positive community-wide impacts. The EBA process is instrumental to enhancing our awareness and assessing if we are genuinely maximizing benefits for every community member.

    Description

The Events-based area (EBA) is part of the Intake Protection Zones (IPZ) for a municipal intake. It represents the area where if a contaminant (based on modelled conditions) was spilled, it could be a threat to the drinking water source. IPZ zones don’t overlap each other; an EBA can overlap the Intake Protection Zones.
