    Description

The Cloud Security for Education market is experiencing robust growth, projected to reach a value of $5,937 million in 2025, exhibiting a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 6.6% from 2019 to 2033. This expansion is driven by several key factors. The increasing adoption of cloud-based learning platforms and resources across K-12 and higher education institutions necessitates robust security measures to protect sensitive student and institutional data from cyber threats. The rising prevalence of sophisticated cyberattacks targeting educational institutions, coupled with stringent data privacy regulations like FERPA in the US and GDPR in Europe, further fuel market demand. The shift towards hybrid and multi-cloud environments also presents unique security challenges, pushing organizations to invest in comprehensive cloud security solutions. Leading vendors such as IBM, AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform are actively developing and offering specialized cloud security solutions tailored to the education sector, contributing to market growth. The market segmentation shows a diverse landscape with Private, Public, and Hybrid cloud deployments prevalent across K-12 and Higher Education institutions. Further growth is anticipated due to the increasing integration of AI and machine learning in cloud security solutions to enhance threat detection and response capabilities. The market's geographical distribution shows a significant concentration in North America, driven by high cloud adoption rates and stringent data privacy regulations. However, Europe and Asia Pacific are also witnessing substantial growth, fueled by increasing digitalization in education and government initiatives promoting cloud adoption in the education sector. While the market faces restraints such as the initial high investment costs associated with implementing cloud security infrastructure and the need for ongoing maintenance and skilled personnel, the long-term benefits of enhanced data security and improved operational efficiency are outweighing these challenges, paving the way for continued market expansion throughout the forecast period. Competitive landscape includes both established cloud providers and specialized cybersecurity firms actively competing to secure market share through innovative product offerings and strategic partnerships.

    Description

According to a 2022 survey, the digital literacy index score in Indonesia's education sector was 3.7. Among all the digital literacy pillars, digital safety scored the lowest. This indicated that students and educators in Indonesia were less aware of the importance of protecting personal information and other cyber security practices. However, Indonesia's education sector had a generally higher score than the overall population's digital literacy index.

    Disparities in access and infrastructure

Digital literacy measures the skills and proficiency in utilizing digital platforms or devices to find, manage, evaluate, and communicate information. It plays a critical role in Indonesia’s education landscape, as the country aims for digital transformation in this sector. Infrastructure and resources are among the main obstacles to fostering digital literacy in schools. A 2022 survey showed that around 81 percent of the Indonesian population claimed that unreliable network resulting in frequent connection loss was their primary issue in accessing the internet. Furthermore, a significant gap was still found between internet access in different areas. In 2022, around 82.4 percent of students in Indonesia's urban areas had access to the internet, compared to only 68.9 percent of students in rural areas.

     Digital literacy to combat misinformation

Along with the widespread adoption of social media and online platforms, misinformation is still commonly found in Indonesia. Most Indonesians use social media as their primary source of information consumption. Meanwhile, it was revealed that social media ranked first as the online platform that served the most hoaxes and false information. This emphasizes the pressing need to improve the current level of digital literacy among students and educators across the country.

    Description

ABSTRACT This article consists of a case study that aimed to identify health and education professionals’ perceptions of the School Health Program (PSE) actions in a suburban territory of Baixada Santista, São Paulo. Three educational counselors from two schools, a PSE articulator, a therapeutic companion, a psychologist, two nurses, and a community health worker were interviewed. The transcribed interviews were submitted to lexographic analysis and descending hierarchical classification in the software IRaMuTeQ-R. They were later analyzed based on the theoretical references on the PSE, school health, and intersectoriality. The results showed that the PSE actions focus on the matrix support meeting, referrals, vaccination verification, oral health, and eye health. The inadequate continuing training, poor knowledge of the PSE policy, and overwork compromise the full consideration of the program’s objectives, which, traversed by the pandemic, escalated the challenges faced by professionals. There is potential to be explored by the meeting of health and education. However, challenges involving these sectors, the traditional management rationale, the biological approach, and social participation should be overcome to advance towards intersectoral proposals to promote health and well-being.

    Description

Software Defined Security Market size was valued at USD 11.20 Billion in 2023 and is projected to reach USD 91.40 Billion by 2031, growing at a CAGR of 30% from 2024 to 2031.

    Key Market Drivers:

Increasing Complexity of Cyber Threats: The ever-changing nature of cyber threats is a key driver of the software defined security market. Traditional security measures are proving ineffective in combating the advanced strategies employed by cybercriminals nowadays. Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs), ransomware, phishing assaults, and zero-day vulnerabilities are becoming more popular, and they frequently circumvent traditional security measures.

Growing Adoption of Cloud Computing and Virtualization: The increasing usage of cloud computing and virtualization technologies is another important driver of the SDS market. As enterprises move their workloads to the cloud and use virtualized environments, the old perimeter-based security strategy becomes outmoded. In the cloud and virtualized environments, borders are fluid and resources are dynamically assigned necessitating a new approach to security

Need for Compliance and Regulatory Adherence: Compliance with industry norms and standards is a critical problem for firms across all sectors. Regulations such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) place strict obligations on data protection and privacy. Noncompliance can result in serious financial penalties and reputational damage, thus firms must employ strong security measures. Software defined security provides a framework for meeting and maintaining regulatory obligations. SDS systems provide extensive insight into network traffic, user activity, and data access patterns allowing enterprises to continually monitor and audit their security posture.

    Description

The NOKUT National Student Survey for university and college students has been conducted every year since 2013 and has established itself as an important national survey. In 2017, NOKUT was commissioned by the Norwegian Ministry of Education and Research to conduct a similar student survey among vocational school students. The purpose is to give educational institutions, students, higher education applicants, the government and other stakeholders information about educational quality in the vocational education sector.

The NOKUT National Student Survey for vocational school students covers student surveys of all tertiary educations, which means education based on upper secondary level. The survey contains questions on the students' opinions on the quality of the study programmes at Norwegian vocational schools. In addition, this study asked questions about the corona pandemic. The survey was conducted for the third time in April/May 2020.

This file contains all information on all variables (both study programmes, institutions and personal background variables). Statistical units are considered personal data, and processing of personal data must therefore be reported to the Data Protection Officer or The Norwegian Data Protection Authority. For institutions that have an agreement with NSD, the project must be reported to NSD Data Protection Services.
