TwitterThe Florida Department of Revenue’s Property Tax Oversight(PTO) program collects parcel level Geographic Information System (GIS) data files every April from all of Florida’s 67 county property appraisers’ offices. This GIS data was exported from these file submissions in August 2025. The GIS parcel polygon features have been joined with thereal property roll (Name – Address – Legal, or NAL)file. No line work was adjusted between county boundaries.The polygon data set represents the information property appraisers gathered from the legal description on deeds, lot layout of recorded plats, declaration of condominium documents, recorded and unrecorded surveys.Individual parcel data is updated continually by each county property appraiser as needed. The GIS linework and related attributions for the statewide parcel map are updated annually by the Department every August. These data are derived from shoreline maps that were produced by the NOAA National Ocean Service including its predecessor agencies which were based on an office interpretation of imagery and/or field survey. The NGS attribution scheme 'Coastal Cartographic Object Attribute Source Table (C-COAST)' was developed to conform the attribution of various sources of shoreline data into one attribution catalog. C-COAST is not a recognized standard, but was influenced by the International Hydrographic Organization's S-57 Object-Attribute standard so the data would be more accurately translated into S-57. The population estimates can be used for a variety of planning studies including statewide and regional transportation plan updates, subarea and corridor studies, and funding allocations for various planning agencies.The 2020 population estimates reported are based on the US Census Bureau 2020 Decennial Census. The 2021 population estimates are based on the population estimates developed by the Bureau of Economic and Business Research (BEBR) at the University of Florida. BEBR uses the decennial census count for April 1, 2020, as the starting point for state-level projections. More information is available from BEBR here.This dataset contains boundaries for all 2010 Census Urban Clusters (UCs) in the State of Florida with 2020 census population and 2021 population estimates. All legal boundaries and names in this dataset are from the US Census Bureau’s TIGER/Line Files (2021).BEBR provides 2021 population estimates for counties in Florida. However, UC boundaries may not coincide with the jurisdictional boundaries of counties and UCs often spread into several counties. To estimate the population for an UC, first the ratio of the subject UC that is contained within a county (or sub-area) to the area of the entire county was determined. That ratio was multiplied by the estimated county population to obtain the population for that sub-area. The population for the entire UC is the sum of all sub-area populations estimated from the counties they are located within.For the 2010 Census, urban areas comprised a “densely settled core of census tracts and/or census blocks that meet minimum population density requirements, along with adjacent territory containing non-residential urban land uses as well as territory with low population density included to link outlying densely settled territory with the densely settled core.” In 2010, the US Census Bureau identified two types of urban areas—Urbanized Areas (UAs) and UCs. UCs have a population of at least 2,500 and less than 50,000 people. Note: Century, FL--AL Urban Cluster is located in two states: Florida (Escambia County) and Alabama (Escambia County). 2021 population of Escambia County, AL used for this estimation is from the US Census annual population estimates (2020-2021). TwitterIn general, the mile markers are measured from west to east and south to north. Such as I-10 starting in Escambia County, bordering Alabama, with mile marker 1 then increases eastward. And for I-95 from Miami-Dade County starting with mile marker 1 then increases northward. The data is refreshed weekly and changes are made by the District Offices who are responsible to collect and upkeep the data. This data may also be collected for call boxes that are located at integral milepoints instead of the usual mile marker signs. This data is required for all interstate, tolled or non-tolled expressway facilities, and US routes. This dataset is maintained by the Transportation Data & Analytics office (TDA).
