The Street_and_Address_Composite will return a geographic coordinate when a street address is entered. A user can enter an address either manually or by bulk input from a database or other source. The geocoder returns a coordinate pair and standardized address for each input address it is able to match. The NYS ITS Geospatial Services geocoder uses a series of combinations of reference data and configuration parameters to optimize both the likelihood of a match and the quality of the results. The reference data supporting the geocoder is stored in Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC) standard. The first composite locator (Street_and_Address_Composite) is made up of the following set of locators which are most likely to return a high quality hit. The locators are listed in the order in which they will be accessed along with a brief description of the locator's source data. These six locators will generate the majority of the results when geocoding addresses.Locator NameSource DataDescription1A_SAM_AP_ZipNameSAM Address PointsSAM address points using the postal zip code name for the city name in the locator.1B_SAM_AP_CTNameSAM Address PointsSAM address points. KC streets derived from the cadastral database where lines represent the mid-point of the parcel right-of-way. Because it's parcel based, lines will not always align with the ortho photos. A feature in ST_ADDRESS should exist if there is a property with a valid address. A property such as an apartment or condo complex may have many streets within the property but only one street will be shown in ST_ADDRESS, containing the site address. Use TRANS_NETWORK when the lines should more closely match the ortho photos.
National Address DatabaseThis National Geospatial Data Asset (NGDA) dataset, shared as a U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) feature layer, displays address data in the United States. Per USDOT, "The U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) and its partners from all levels of government recognize the need for a National Address Database (NAD). Accurate and up-to-date addresses are critical to transportation safety and are a vital part of Next Generation 9-1-1. They are also essential for a broad range of government services, including mail delivery, permitting, and school siting. To meet this need, USDOT partners with address programs from state, local, and tribal governments to compile their authoritative data into the NAD."District of Columbia (DC) Residential AddressesData currency: Current federal service (Address Points from National Address Database)NGDAID: 196 (National Address Database (NAD))For more information: Getting to know the National Address Database (NAD); National Address DatabaseFor feedback, please contact: Esri_US_Federal_Data@esri.comNGDA Data SetThis data set is part of the NGDA Transportation Theme Community. This geocoding service provides the ability to perform tabular geocoding, reverse geocoding, and identifying results for locations that contain sub-addresses. This service and the supporting data are provided by the AddressNC program.A geocoding locator file is also available for users of ArcGIS Pro or ArcGIS Desktop in an offline/disconnected environment.

Lands Department of Hong Kong SAR has released Location Search API which is available in Hong Kong Geodata Store (https://geodata.gov.hk/gs/). This API is very useful to Esri Users in Hong Kong as it saves vast amount of time to carry out data conversion to support location searching. The API is HTTP-based for application developers to find any locations in Hong Kong by addresses, building names, place names or facility names.
This code sample contains sample HTML and JavaScript files. Users can follow This Guidelines to use the Location Search API with ArcGIS API for JavaScript to build web mapping applications with ArcGIS API for JavaScript.

A preliminary file of address points compiled from various digital sources. Address point feature class derived from FGDC addressing standard. All address components, like address number, streets name and unit number, are broken up into their individual components to enable maximum flexibility for use. Fields within feature class should be able to accommodate all addresses within the state of Connecticut. This file was created by compiling address point data from existing digital sources, or by creating parcel base centroids where digital parcel data exists.
A .zip file is available to for downloading the entre database in an ESRI FGDB format. Alternatively, an ArcGIS Open Data website has been established for downloading data in alternate formats and for specific areas in the State.
A REST endpoint is also available: http://www.ctgismaps2.ct.gov/arcgis/rest/services/CT_Open_Maps/Address_Points/MapServer/

This map presents transportation data, including highways, roads, railroads, and airports for the world.
The map was developed by Esri using Esri highway data; Garmin basemap layers; HERE street data for North America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, South America and Central America, India, most of the Middle East and Asia, and select countries in Africa. Data for Pacific Island nations and the remaining countries of Africa was sourced from OpenStreetMap contributors. Specific country list and documentation of Esri's process for including OSM data is available to view.
You can add this layer on top of any imagery, such as the Esri World Imagery map service, to provide a useful reference overlay that also includes street labels at the largest scales. (At the largest scales, the line symbols representing the streets and roads are automatically hidden and only the labels showing the names of streets and roads are shown). Imagery With Labels basemap in the basemap dropdown in the ArcGIS web and mobile clients does not include this World Transportation map. If you use the Imagery With Labels basemap in your map and you want to have road and street names, simply add this World Transportation layer into your map. It is designed to be drawn underneath the labels in the Imagery With Labels basemap, and that is how it will be drawn if you manually add it into your web map.
