TwitterThis map shows median age in the US by country, state, county, tract, and congressional district for 2023. ArcGIS Online account required for use.The pop-up is configured to show median age, median age by sex, child age (under 18) population, senior age (over 65) population, the age dependency ratio, and population by 5 year age increments. Blending is used at the Tract level to highlight areas of human settlement. Congressional district is turned off by default and can be enabled in the Layers pane.Esri 2023 Age Dependency Ratio is the estimated ratio of the child population (Age 0-17) and senior population (Age 65+) to the working-age population (Age 18-64) in the geographic area. This ratio is then multiplied by 100. Higher ratios denote that a greater burden is carried by working-age people. Lower ratios mean more people are working who can support the dependent population. TwitterCensus data reveals that population density varies noticeably from area to area. Small area census data do a better job depicting where the crowded neighborhoods are. In this map, the yellow areas of highest density range from 30,000 to 150,000 persons per square kilometer. In those areas, if the people were spread out evenly across the area, there would be just 4 to 9 meters between them. Very high density areas exceed 7,000 persons per square kilometer. High density areas exceed 5,200 persons per square kilometer. The last categories break at 3,330 persons per square kilometer, and 1,500 persons per square kilometer. This dataset is comprised of multiple sources. The California Natural Resources Agency’s Access for All Initiative and 30x30 set a goal of equitable access for all to the state’s natural and open spaces. This dashboard helps illustrate the current challenges and highlights opportunities.
The Access Explorer shows statewide measures of the population living within a half mile of any open space such as a park with public access contained within the Conserved Areas database, whether it meets the 30x30 definition of conserved or not.
You can then compare those measures to areas that meet the 30x30 definition or to the population overall.
The Access Explorer is a work in progress. Enhancements will be informed by an Outdoors for All roadmap due out in early 2023.
The demographics were compiled from 'https://doc.arcgis.com/en/esri-demographics/' target='_blank' rel='nofollow ugc noopener noreferrer'>ESRI Demographics in March 2022.

TwitterThe following links provide a summarized demographic profile for each of the Wards and Superwards in the City of Norfolk. A citywide profile is also provided. City staff used ESRI ArcGIS software to create the demographic estimates. ESRI compiles data from the US Census Bureau and American Community Survey (ACS) to generate estimates based off provided custom geographic areas. The data used to create these visuals is not meant to represent Norfolk's authoritative source for City, Ward, or elections purposes. ESRI and ACS Demographics represent annually updated U.S. demographic data that provides current-year and five-year forecasts for more than two thousand demographic and socioeconomic characteristics. Population projection by scenario, year of age and local authority, for the 4 scenarios described in the project methodology for years 2017-2040. https://www.esri.ie/publications/regional-demographics-and-structural-housing-demand-at-a-county-level The 4 scenarios are: Baseline/Business as usual – based on medium term projections for the economy with an underlying assumption that net inwards migration would converge to 15,000 p.a. by 2024 and remain at that level throughout the projection horizon. 50:50 City – based on a similar outlook in terms of net inwards migration but whereby population growth is distributed in line with the objectives of the National Planning Framework (See National Policy Objectives 1a and 2a of https://npf.ie/wp-content/uploads/Project-Ireland-2040-NPF.pdf) High Migration – assumes that net inwards migration stays at an elevated level throughout the projection horizon (net inwards migration of 30,000 p.a) Low Migration - assumes that net inwards migration falls to net inwards migration of 5,000 by 2022 before converging back to the business as usual levels (i.e. net inwards migration of 15,000 p.a.) by 2027 and remaining at that level thereafter.
