The MEDIATIZED EU project aims to study how the media discourses are constructed to foster or hamper the European project and how they resonate among the public by focusing on the elite-media-public triangle. The research was conducted in seven target countries: Ireland, Belgium, Estonia, Spain, Portugal, Hungary and Georgia.
This dataset is part of the integration of the MEDIATIZED EU project research data into the EU’s Open Research Data Pilot. In accordance with the Data Management Plan, public opinion survey data were deemed suitable for being openly shared through ORDP to be accessible and of use to other academic researchers in Europe and worldwide. Quantitative data derived from surveys was deemed suitable, with the only concerns being the heterogeneous nature of some of the survey questions in each target country.
The aim of the population surveys was to investigate public opinion about the media and elites in their country and the EU and how they interpret elite and media discourses on Europeanisation and European integration. The merged database allows the project participants and other researchers to compare their national research results with phenomena in other participating countries.
This dataset contains a subset of integrated survey data including those survey questions where comparative data was available. The final deliverable contains this subsection of the survey data which has been weighted and cleaned, in .SAV and .XLS formats, and provides the requisite codebook for the dataset.

TwitterSMART GROUND aims at improving the availability and accessibility of data and information on SRM (Secondary Raw Materials) in the EU territory, while creating collaborations and synergies among the different stakeholders involved in the SRM value chain. In order to do so, the consortium will carry out a set of activities to integrate all the data from existing sources and new information retrieved with time progress, in a single EU database. Such database will also enable the exchange of contacts and information among the relevant stakeholders (e.g. companies), which are interested in providing or obtaining SRM. This dataset refers to PERCEIVE tasks 2.2, 2.3, 2.4 and 2.5. These tasks analyze the data sets developed by PERCEIVE task 2.1 in order to identify, quantify and synthetize the most important variables to asses identification with EU by citizens. The results feed an update of the data set developed in task 2.1. Finally, these data is be used to model convergence of EU citizens' identification in the case study regions. Data consists of the quantitative statistical information used to produce all the results of WP2 and the indicators regarding the variables of interest obtained by means of different statistical techniques. Moreover, data on absorption of EU funds, provided by the EC and other research centres and collected in task 2.5, is be gathered in this data set, together with the results of convergence analysis. This data set is be used to evaluate the EU citizens’ perception of the EU project in relation to regional performance of the cohesion policy and institutional quality. WP2 uses primary data from the survey developed in WP1 (“PERCEIVE: WP1: Framework for comparative analysis of the perception of Cohesion Policy and identification with the European Union at citizen level in different European countries: Task1.3: Survey at citizen level” data set) and also comparative case studies on EU countries and regions, coming also from WP1 (”PERCEIVE: WP1: Framework for comparative analysis of the perception of Cohesion Policy and identification with the European Union at citizen level in different European countries: Task1.1: The framework for the comparative analysis” and ”PERCEIVE: WP1: Framework for comparative analysis of the perception of Cohesion Policy and identification with the European Union at citizen level in different European countries: Task1.2: Focus group with Cohesion Policy practitioners” data sets). The data set incorporates data from existing sources including Eurostat and information resulting from the Survey conducted at WP1 of the PERCEIVE’s project. As regards secondary data, no additional treatment is needed. Info about the sources of such data, including references to technical details, is provided in the dataset's codebook. Datasets are available in CSV format, being the field delimiter « , » (comma). For further clarification, please look at the README files of every data subset.

Intelligent Energy – Europe (IEE) offers a helping hand to organisations willing to improve energy sustainability. Launched in 2003 by the European Commission, the programme is part of a broad push to create an energy-intelligent future for us all. It supports EU energy efficiency and renewable energy policies, with a view to reaching the EU 2020 targets (20% cut in greenhouse gas emissions, 20% improvement in energy efficiency and 20% of renewables in EU energy consumption).
The programme is a pillar of the EU's Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme (CIP).
More than 600 projects across Europe have been co-funded by programme since 2003. These projects cover fields as diverse as education and electrical appliances, yet all contribute to building a greener and more secure energy future for the EU. You can find the list of beneficiaries and projects funded by the programme.

This database was developed in the context of the Deliverable 2.1 of the BioAgora project 'Developing the Science Service for European Research and Biodiversity Policymaking' (https://bioagora.eu/). BioAgora is a collaborative European project funded by the Horizon Europe programme (Horizon Europe research and innovation programme, grant agreement No. 101059438). The project's main outcome is intended to be the development of a Science Service for Biodiversity, the principal EU mechanism to connect research and knowledge on biodiversity to the needs of policy making through a continuous dialogue. The ultimate goal of BioAgora and of the Science Service is to support the implementation of the Biodiversity Strategy for 2030, and more broadly the sustainability transition required by the EU Green Deal. The BioAgora project was launched in July 2022 for a duration of 5 years. It gathers a Consortium of 22 partners, from 13 European countries, led the Finnish Environment Institute (Syke). Partners represent a diversity of actors coming from academia, public authorities, SMEs, and associations. Views and opinions expressed are those of the authors only and do not necessarily reflect those of the European Union or the European Commission. Neither the European Union nor the granting authority can be held responsible for them.
In order to develop the database, a thorough desk search was conducted to compile an extensive, albeit not exhaustive, list of organizations and networks of organizations operating at the science-policy-society interface in the context of biodiversity and sustainability. In collecting the list, we focused on actors operating at EU level, although we also included particularly relevant international, regional or national organized actors. The desk search built upon the work already developed in the context of two pan-European projects, funded by the Seventh framework programme of the European Community: 'Developing a Knowledge Network for European Expertise on biodiversity and ecosystem services to inform policy making and economic sectors (KNEU, 2010-2014, grant 265299) and 'Establishing a European Knowledge and Learning Mechanism to Improve the Policy-Science-Society Interface on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services' (Eklipse, 2016-2020, grant 690474). The two above-mentioned projects preceded the BioAgora project in that they aimed at understanding and improving the effectiveness of the biodiversity science-policy(-society) interface in Europe. Such projects had thus already compiled extensive databases of relevant organizations in Europe (including national and international actors, in addition to EU level actors), and quantified the relevance of such organizations based on votes cast by project members and based on interviews with key organizations. The database developed through the desk search was further refined with suggestions for relevant organizations provided by BioAgora's participants and by the representatives of the organizations interviewed during the other steps of the data collection. The data collection processes started in September 2022 and was updated until November 2023.

This dataset cover all ICT research projects having received grants under the EU’s Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) - Cooperation and Capacities (e-Infrastructure) programs, since 2007, as well as the Projects under the CIP ICT PSP program. A row/record is generated for each organization participating in a project. Projects have multiple partners and an organization can be the partner of multiple projects. Until 31 December 2013, around 28.000 participations have been registered. The dataset provide details about the thematic area of each project, the legal nature of the partners, their geographical location and the amount of EC grants. An annual report, called STREAM, analyses the dataset with the purpose of providing a statistical base for the monitoring of the programme.
