Changes as of June 26th 2024: This is a new table. Statistics Netherlands has carried out a revision of the national accounts. The Dutch national accounts have recently been revised. New statistical sources, methods and concepts are implemented in the national accounts, in order to align the picture of the Dutch economy with all underlying source data and international guidelines for the compilation of the national accounts. This table contains revised data. For further information see section 3.

Provisional data are published six months after the end of the reporting period. 18 months after the reporting period final data will be published.

Data are for EU15 until 2000, for EU25 2001-2003 and for EU27 as from 2004. Foreign direct investment (FDI) is the category of international investment made by a resident entity (direct investor) to acquire a lasting interest in an entity operating in an economy other than that of the investor (direct investment enterprise). The lasting interest is deemed to exist if the investor acquires at least 10 % of the equity capital of the enterprise. FDI stocks are the value of FDI assets (for outward FDI stocks) and FDI liabilities (for inward FDI stocks) at the end of the reference period.
