Digital topographic maps are raster data from the existing topographic national map series. The raster data is divided into different levels according to cartographic content elements and can be submitted as individual levels or as a colored combination. The DTK50 are digital topographic maps, which are derived from a corresponding ATKIS-DLM in new map graphics and level structure. It is available in 24 individual levels (single layers) in black and white or in color combination in different resolutions. The raster data can be used as individual sheets in the sheet section of the topographic maps and as sheet section-free preparations (overall file and/or tiles) in various geodetic reference systems and map projections covering the entire area or excerpts for the federal state of Thuringia.

With its combination of topography and property boundaries, it forms the link between the property map and the topographic maps. Digital orthophotos (DOP) are distortion-free and true-to-scale photographic images of the earth's surface. They are derived from oriented digital aerial images and a digital elevation model. TrueDOP uses an image-based digital surface model (bDOM) as its elevation model.

Vector data from the basic DLM are generalized for the digital topographic maps and processed according to the ATKIS signature catalogue. The digital data can be submitted via download or on other media carriers. They are available in a maximum of 22 content levels (according to the technical regulations of the AdV) in three forms (individual levels, gray combination and color combination). It should be noted that a UTM grid is only output in the individual levels. The standard resolution is 200L/cm = 508dpi. The TK (ATKIS) presents a map issue with the same content as a printed map. The data is provided free of charge via automated processes or by self-extraction. When using the data, the license conditions must be observed.
