Layer used for neighborhood boundaries for Vanderburgh Sheriff Department

2015 Single Family Residential permit data processed and maintained by Area Plan Commission. Data is exported directly from the Munis permit database and geocoded for use within GIS applications.

This data set represents the extent, approximate location and type of wetlands and deepwater habitats in the conterminous United States. These data delineate the areal extent of wetlands and surface waters as defined by Cowardin et al. (1979). Certain wetland habitats are excluded from the National mapping program because of the limitations of aerial imagery as the primary data source used to detect wetlands. These habitats include seagrasses or submerged aquatic vegetation that are found in the intertidal and subtidal zones of estuaries and near shore coastal waters. Some deepwater reef communities (coral or tuberficid worm reefs) have also been excluded from the inventory. These habitats, because of their depth, go undetected by aerial imagery. By policy, the Service also excludes certain types of "farmed wetlands" as may be defined by the Food Security Act or that do not coincide with the Cowardin et al. definition. Contact the Service's Regional Wetland Coordinator for additional information on what types of farmed wetlands are included on wetland maps.

The parcel layer is continuously updated & added to over time. In 2003 Premier Data Services, scanned Natrona County Assessors Tax maps to initiate the parcel layer, maps were scanned & digitized. Cleanup was done by Natrona County GIS dept & City of Casper GIS dept. Parcel Data is updated by either importing digital as-built drawings (.dwg CAD format) into the parcel layer or by using the Traverse tool (COGO) to digitally draw in the polygon from a legal description or hard copy of a plat. Digital as-built data is provided by developing companies as a requirement of their contract with the Natrona County Planning department. The digital data is imported into the parcel layer (feature class) first as a polyline data, then polygons are created from the line information using a process within ArcMAP. Accuracy varies based on origin of the source data. The more recent process of using digital as-built CAD data, allows for adjusting older parcel data to the newer data which provides a continuous improvement of the parcel polygon feature class across the coverage area of Natrona County, City of Casper, Bar Nunn, Evansville, Mills, Midwest & Edgerton.

Covers Natrona County. Including City of Casper, towns of Bar Nunn, Evansville, Mills, Edgerton & Midwest. Original First Division polygons were created from Plat Scans. This layer is updated continuously due to the introduction of new Subdivisions by using ArcMAP Traverse tool (COGO) or by using AutoCAD .dwg files. Spatial coordinate system is NAD 1983 StatePlane Wyoming East Central Zone 4902 Feet. This data is in SDE format.
