That year, about 37 million people were employed in the education and health services industry. Education and Health Services Industry Despite being one of the wealthiest nations in the world, the United States has started to fall behind in both education and the health care industry. Although the U.S. spends the most money in both these industries, they do not see their desired results in comparison to other nations. Furthermore, in the education services industry, there was a relatively significant wage gap between men and women. In 2019, men earned about 1,070 U.S. dollars per week on average, while their female counterparts only earned 773 U.S. dollars per week. Employment in the U.S. The 2008 financial crisis was a large-scale event that impacted the entire world, especially the United States. The economy started to improve after 2010, and the number of people employed in the United States has been steadily increasing since then. However, the number of people employed in the education sector is expected to slowly decrease until 2026. The overall unemployment rate in the United States has decreased since 2010 as well.

The Department of Taxation and Finance annually produces a mandated dataset of credit activity under the General Business Corporation Franchise Tax (Article 9‐A) to help analyze the effects of the claims. The data used to generate this report come from an annual study file based on the latest available data drawn from New York State corporation tax returns. The totals in the summary datasets may not match the detail datasets due to rounding and disclosure requirements. The totals in the summary datasets may not match the detail data due to rounding and disclosure requirements. Total values for numbers of taxpayers and amount of credit, in addition to mean and median credit, were computed using all taxpayers in the study file. A series of datasets presents profiles of the credits distributed by different subgroupings. These include: • Summarization of tax credit activity by credit and component • Summarization of tax credit activity by credit, component and basis of taxation. • Summarization of tax credit activity by credit, component and NAICS industry description. • Summarization of tax credit activity by credit, component and the size of the credit used. • Summarization of tax credit activity by credit, component and the size of the entire net income of the taxpayer. Secrecy provisions preclude providing all subgroupings for all credits and also generally require the omission of credit refund data. These datasets only contains data for corporate franchise taxpayers filing under Article 9-A. It does not include statistics for taxpayers filing as banks under Article 32 (however, starting in 2015 banks and general business corporations will file under the same tax article, Article 9A), insurance companies filing under Article 33, or taxpayers filing under any of the various sections of Article 9. Nor does it provide data for taxpayers claiming credits under Article 22, the Personal Income Tax. These taxpayers claim credit by virtue of being sole proprietors or as recipients of credit that originated with flow-through entities (i.e., S corporations, limited liability companies, or partnerships).

This statistic shows the top ten cheese producing U.S. states in 2023. In that year, Wisconsin was the market leader, where around 3.5 billion pounds of cheese were produced. In the U.S., natural cheese makes up the largest share of cheese sales, generating approximately 11.7 billion U.S. dollars in 2022. Cheese in the United States Cheese is mostly common in the Western cultural sphere, where it is one of the basic foodstuffs, and a major agricultural product. With some seven million metric tons, the European Union is the world’s leading producer of cheese. The United States follows, producing approximately 6.35 million metric tons. The top cheese producing U.S. states are Wisconsin and California. Wisconsin’s nickname as “America’s Dairyland” punctuates the state’s leading position within the U.S. dairy industry. More than three and a half billion pounds of cheese are produced in Wisconsin. California is the second largest producer. As expected, these states also count the highest number of milk cows among all U.S. states. Total consumption of all types of cheese in the United States stands slightly lower than the production volume. This means, that every American consumes over 40 kilograms of cheese annually. The most popular types of cheese among U.S. consumers are Italian-style varieties like, for example, Mozzarella and Parmesan.

    Description

The first section of the Table SA05 presents the summary statistics: Personal income, population (estimated as of July 1 of each year by the Census Bureau), and per capita personal income, which is the ratio of personal income to population. Nonfarm personal income, which is personal income less farm earnings (defined below), is also presented. The second part of Table SA05 presents the derivation of personal income. Personal income is measured as the sum of wages and salaries; other labor income; proprietors' income; dividends, interest, and rent; and transfer payments; less personal contributions for social insurance. The sum of the first three of these components is termed "earnings," and the last is largely a deduction from earnings. The personal income of a State is defined as the income received by the residents of the State, but the estimates of wages and salaries, other labor income, and personal contributions for social insurance by employees are based mainly on source data that are reported not by the place of residence of the income recipients but by their place of work. Accordingly, an adjustment for residence--which is the net inflow of the earnings of wage and salary workers who are interstate commuters--is estimated so that place-of-residence measures of earnings and personal income can be derived. (The estimates of proprietors' income, although presented on the table as part of place-of-work earnings, are largely by place of residence; no residence adjustment is made for this component.) Net earnings by place of residence is calculated by subtracting personal contributions for social insurance from earnings by place of work and then adding the adjustment for residence. The estimates of dividends, interest, and rent, and of transfer payments are prepared by place of residence only. The third part of Table SA05 presents the estimates of earnings by type of payment and by industry. The estimates of total earnings by place of work are provided at the Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) two-digit level. The principal source data for the wage and salary portion of BEA's earnings estimates are from the ES-202 series provided by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The ES-202 series provides monthly employment and quarterly wages for each State (and county) in SIC four-digit detail. BEA restricts its earnings estimates to the SIC Division ("one-digit") and two-digit levels and suppresses these estimates in many individual cases in order to preclude the disclosure of information about individual employers.

The overall income of dairy farms in the U.S. amounted to about 51.3 billion U.S. dollars. Holtsein is the most popular breed of dairy cow farmed in the United States. Holstein have the highest milk production per cow in comparison to any other breed. Where is the U.S. positioned in the global dairy market? Topped only by the EU-27, the United States ranks as the second largest cow milk producer in the world, followed by India, Russia, and China. The United States also features among the top ten global milk exporters. The outlook for the future of the industry is also good, with milk production in the United States projected to steadily increase over the next years.

    Description
    About this dataset

    Context

The dataset tabulates the Industry town population over the last 20 plus years. It lists the population for each year, along with the year on year change in population, as well as the change in percentage terms for each year. The dataset can be utilized to understand the population change of Industry town across the last two decades. For example, using this dataset, we can identify if the population is declining or increasing. If there is a change, when the population peaked, or if it is still growing and has not reached its peak. We can also compare the trend with the overall trend of United States population over the same period of time.

    Key observations

In 2023, the population of Industry town was 801, a 0.50% increase year-by-year from 2022. Previously, in 2022, Industry town population was 797, an increase of 0.63% compared to a population of 792 in 2021. Over the last 20 plus years, between 2000 and 2023, population of Industry town increased by 16. In this period, the peak population was 928 in the year 2019. The numbers suggest that the population has already reached its peak and is showing a trend of decline. Source: U.S. Census Bureau Population Estimates Program (PEP).

    Description

    Abstract

The Annual Survey of Industries (ASI) is the principal source of industrial statistics in India. It provides statistical information to assess changes in the growth, composition and structure of organised manufacturing sector comprising activities related to manufacturing processes, repair services, gas and water supply and cold storage. Industrial sector occupies an important position in the State economy and has a pivotal role to play in the rapid and balanced economic development. The Survey is conducted annually under the statutory provisions of the Collection of Statistics Act 1953, and the Rules framed there-under in 1959, except in the State of Jammu & Kashmir where it is conducted under the State Collection of Statistics Act, 1961 and the rules framed there-under in 1964.

    Geographic coverage

The ASI extends its coverage to the entire country upto state level.

    Analysis unit

The primary unit of enumeration in the survey is a factory in the case of manufacturing industries, a workshop in the case of repair services, an undertaking or a licensee in the case of electricity, gas & water supply undertakings and an establishment in the case of bidi & cigar industries. The owner of two or more establishments located in the same State and pertaining to the same industry group and belonging to same scheme (census or sample) is, however, permitted to furnish a single consolidated return. Such consolidated returns are common feature in the case of bidi and cigar establishments, electricity and certain public sector undertakings.

    Universe

The survey cover factories registered under the Factory Act 1948. Establishments under the control of the Defence Ministry, oil storage and distribution units, restaurants and cafes and technical training institutions not producing anything for sale or exchange were kept outside the coverage of the ASI. The geographical coverage of the Annual Survey of Industries, 2003-04 has been extended to the entire country except the states of Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram and Sikkim and Union Territory of Lakshadweep.

    Kind of data

    Sample survey data [ssd]

    Sampling procedure

    Sampling Procedure

The sampling design followed in ASI 2003-04 is a Circular Systematic one. All the factories in the updated frame (universe) are divided into two sectors, viz., Census and Sample.

Census Sector: Census Sector is defined as follows:

    a) All the complete enumeration States namely, Manipur, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Tripura and Andaman & Nicobar Islands. b) For the rest of the States/ UT's., (i) units having 100 or more workers, and (ii) all factories covered under Joint Returns.

Rest of the factories found in the frame constituted Sample sector on which sampling was done. Factories under Biri & Cigar sector were not considered uniformly under census sector. Factories under this sector were treated for inclusion in census sector as per definition above (i.e., more than 100 workers and/or joint returns). After identifying Census sector factories, rest of the factories were arranged in ascending order of States, NIC-98 (4 digit), number of workers and district and properly numbered. The Sampling fraction was taken as 12% within each stratum (State X Sector X 4-digit NIC) with a minimum of 8 samples except for the State of Gujarat where 9.5% sampling fraction was used. For the States of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Daman & Diu, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Goa and Pondicherry, a minimum of 4 samples per stratum was selected. For the States of Bihar and Jharkhand, a minimum of 6 samples per stratum was selected. The entire sample was selected in the form of two independent sub-sample using Circular Systematic Sampling method.

    Sampling deviation

There was no deviation from sample design in ASI 2003-04.

    Mode of data collection

Statutory return submitted by factories as well as Face to face

    Research instrument

Annual Survey of Industries Questionnaire (in External Resources) is divided into different blocks:

BLOCK A.IDENTIFICATION PARTICULARS BLOCK B. PARTICULARS OF THE FACTORY (TO BE FILLED BY OWNER OF THE FACTORY) BLOCK C: FIXED ASSETS BLOCK D: WORKING CAPITAL & LOANS BLOCK E : EMPLOYMENT AND LABOUR COST BLOCK F : OTHER EXPENSES BLOCK G : OTHER INCOMES BLOCK H: INPUT ITEMS (indigenous items consumed) BLOCK I: INPUT ITEMS – directly imported items only (consumed) BLOCK J: PRODUCTS AND BY-PRODUCTS (manufactured by the unit)

    Cleaning operations

Pre-data entry scrutiny was carried out on the schedules for inter and intra block consistency checks. Such editing was mostly manual, although some editing was automatic. But, for major inconsistencies, the schedules were referred back to NSSO (FOD) for clarifications/modifications.

Code list, State code list, Tabulation program and ASICC code are available in the External Resources which are used for editing and data processing as well.

    B. Tabulation procedure The tabulation procedure by CSO(ISW) includes both the ASI 2003-04 data and the extracted data from ASI 02-03 for all tabulation purpose. For extracted returns, status of unit (Block A, Item 12) would be in the range 17 to 20. To make results comparable, users are requested to follow the same procedure. For calculation of various parameters, users are requested to refer instruction manual/report. Please note that a separate inflation factor (Multiplier) is available for each unit against records belonging to Block-A. The multiplier is calculated for each sub-stratum (i.e. State X NIC-98 (4 Digit) X sub-stratum) after adjusting for non-response cases.

Please note that for all processing Status of unit code to be taken as 1,2 and 17 to 20.

    C. Merging of unit level data As per existing policy to merge unit level data at ultimate digit level of NIC'98 (i.e., 5 digit) for the purpose of dissemination, the data have been merged for industries having less than three units within State, District and NIC-98 (5 Digit) with the adjoining industries within district and then to adjoining districts within a state. There may be some NIC-98 (5 Digit) ending with '9' that do not figure in the book of NIC '98. These may be treated as 'Others' under the corresponding 4-digit group. To suppress the identity of factories data fields corresponding to PSL number, Industry code as per Frame (4-digit level of NIC-98) and RO/SRO code have been filled with '9' in each record.

    Sampling error estimates

Relative Standard Error (RSE) is calculated in terms of worker, wages to worker and GVA using the formula. Programs developed in Visual Foxpro are used to compute the RSE of estimates.

    Data appraisal

To check for consistency and reliability of data the same are compared with the NIC-2digit level growth rate at all India Index of Production (IIP) and the growth rates obtained from the National Accounts Statistics at current and constant prices for the registered manufacturing sector.
