The dataset tabulates the Register population over the last 20 plus years. It lists the population for each year, along with the year on year change in population, as well as the change in percentage terms for each year. The L2 Voter and Demographic Dataset includes demographic and voter history tables for all 50 states and the District of Columbia. The dataset is built from publicly available government records about voter registration and election participation. These records indicate whether a person voted in an election or not, but they do not record whom that person voted for. Voter registration and election participation data are augmented by demographic information from outside data sources.
The L2 Voter and Demographic Dataset is current as of April 7 2025.
To create this file, L2 processes registered voter data on an ongoing basis for all 50 states and the District of Columbia, with refreshes of the underlying state voter data typically at least every six months and refreshes of telephone numbers and National Change of Address processing approximately every 30 to 60 days. These data are standardized and enhanced with propriety commercial data and modeling codes and consist of approximately 185,000,000 records nationwide.
For each state, there are two available tables: demographic and voter history. The demographic and voter tables can be joined on the LALVOTERID
variable. One can also use the LALVOTERID
variable to link the L2 Voter and Demographic Dataset with the L2 Consumer Dataset.
In addition, the LALVOTERID
variable can be used to validate the state. For example, let's look at the LALVOTERID = LALCA3169443
. The characters in the fourth and fifth positions of this identifier are 'CA' (California). The second way to validate the state is by using the RESIDENCE_ADDRESSES_STATE

The date appended to each table name represents when the data was last updated. These dates will differ state by state because states update their voter files at different cadences.

The voter history files have different variables depending on the state. The ***2025-04-07-L2-Voter-Dictionaries.tar.gz file contains .csv data dictionaries for each state's demographic and voter files. While the demographic file data dictionaries should mirror the 2025-01-10-VM2-File-Layout.xlsx*** file, the voter file data dictionaries will be unique to each state.

The household registration system known as ho khau has been a part of the fabric of life in Vietnam for over 50 years. The system was used as an instrument of public security, economic planning, and control of migration, at a time when the state played a stronger role in direct management of the economy and the life of its citizens. Although the system has become less rigid over time, concerns persist that ho khau limits the rights and access to public services of those who lack permanent registration in their place of residence. Due largely to data constraints, however, previous discussions about the system have relied largely on anecdotal or partial information.
Drawing from historical roots as well as the similar model of China’s hukou, the ho khau system was established in Vietnam in 1964. The 1964 law established the basic parameters of the system: every citizen was to be registered as a resident in one and only household at the place of permanent residence, and movements could take place only with the permission of authorities. Controlling migration to cities was part of the system’s early motivation, and the system’s ties to rationing, public services, and employment made it an effective check on unsanctioned migration. Transfer of one’s ho khau from one place to another was possible in principle but challenging in practice.
The force of the system has diminished since the launch of Doi Moi as well as a series of reforms starting in 2006. Most critically, it is no longer necessary to obtain permission from the local authorities in the place of departure to register in a new location. Additionally, obtaining temporary registration status in a new location is no longer difficult. However, in recent years the direction of policy changes regarding ho khau has been varied. A 2013 law explicitly recognized the authority of local authorities to set their own policies regarding registration, and some cities have tightened the requirements for obtaining permanent status.
Understanding of the system has been hampered by the fact that those without permanent registration have not appeared in most conventional sources of socioeconomic data. To gather data for this project, a survey of 5000 respondents in five provinces was done in June-July 2015. The samples are representative of the population in 5 provinces – Ho Chi Minh City, Ha Noi, Da Nang, Binh Duong and Dak Nong. Those five provinces/cities are among the provinces with the highest rate of migration as estimated using data from Population Census 2009.

Household
Sample survey data [ssd]
Sampling for the Household Registration Survey was conducted in two stages. The two stages were selection of 250 enumeration areas (50 EAs in each of 5 provinces) and then selection of 20 households in each selected EA, resulting in a total sample size of 5000 households. The EAs were selected using Probability Proportional to Size (PPS) method based on the square number of migrants in each EA, with the aim to increase the probability of being selected for EAs with higher number of migrants. “Migrants” were defined using the census data as those who lived in a different province five years previous to the census. The 2009 Population Census data was used as the sample frame for the selection of EAs. To make sure the sampling frame was accurate and up to date, EA leaders of the sampled EAs were asked to collection information of all households regardless of registration status at their ward a month before the actual fieldwork. Information collected include name of head of household, address, gender, age of household’s head, household phone number, residence registration status of household, and place of their registration 5 years ago. All households on the resulting lists were found to have either temporary or permanent registration in their current place of residence.
Using these lists, selection of survey households was stratified at the EA level to ensure a substantial surveyed population of households without permanent registration. In each EA random selection was conducted of 12 households with temporary registration status and 8 households with permanent registration status. For EAs where the number of temporary registration households was less than 12, all of the temporary registration households were selected and additional permanent registration households were selected to ensure that each EA had 20 survey households. Sampling weights were calculated taking into the account the selection rules for the first and second stages of the survey.
Computer Assisted Personal Interview [capi]
The questionnaire was mostly adapted from the Vietnam Household Living Standard Survey (VHLSS), and the Urban Poverty Survey (UPS) with appropriate adjustment and supplement of a number of questions to follow closely the objectives of this survey. The household questionnaire consists of a set of questions on the following contents:
• Demographic characteristics of household members with emphasis on their residence status in terms of both administrative management (permanent/temporary residence book) and real residential situation. • Education of household members. Beside information on education level, the respondents are asked whether a household member attend school as “trai-tuyen” , how much “trai-tuyen” fee/enrolment fee, and difficulty in attending schools without permanent residence status. • Health and health care, collecting information on medical status and health insurance card of household members. • Labour and employment, asking household member’s employment status in the last 30 days; their most and second-most time-consuming employment during the last 30 days; and whether they had been asked about residence status when looking for job. • Assets and housing conditions. This section collects information on household’s living conditions such as assets, housing types and areas, electricity, water and energy. • Income and expenditure of households. • Social inclusion and protection. The respondents are asked whether their household members participate in social organizations, activities, services, contribution; whether they benefit from any social project/policy; do they have any loans within the last 12 months; and to provide information about five of their friends at their residential area. • Knowledge on the Law of Residence, current regulations on conditions for obtaining permanent residence, experience dealing with residence issues, and opinion on current household registration system of the respondents.
Managing and Cleaning the Data
Data were managed and cleaned each day immediately upon being received, which occurred at the same time as the fieldwork surveys. At the end of each workday, the survey teams were required to review all of the interviews conducted and transfer collected data to the server. The data received by the main server were downloaded and monitored by MDRI staff.
At this stage, MDRI assigned a technical team to work on the data. First, the team listened to interview records and used an application to detect enumerators’ errors. In this way, MDRI quickly identified and corrected the mistakes of the interviewers. Then the technical team proceeded with data cleaning by questionnaire, based on the following quantity and quality checking criteria.
• Quantity checking criteria: The number of questionnaires must be matched with the completed interviews and the questionnaires assigned to each individual in the field. According to the plan, each survey team conducted 20 household questionnaires in each village. All questionnaires were checked to ensure that they contained all essential information, and duplicated entries were eliminated. • Quality checking criteria: Our staff performed a thorough examination of the practicality and logic of the data. If there was any suspicious or inconsistent information, the data management team re – listened to the records or contacted the respondents and survey teams for clarification via phone call. Necessary revisions would then be made.
Data cleaning was implemented by the following stages: 1. Identification of illogical values; 2. Software – based detection of errors for clarification and revision; 3. Information re-checking with respondents and/or enumerators via phone or through looking at the records; 4. Development and implementation of errors correction algorithms; The list of detected and adjusted errors is attached in Annex 6.
Outlier detection methods The data team applied a popular non - parametric method for outlier detection, which can be done with the following procedure: 1. Identify the first quartile Q1 (the 25th percentile data point) 2. Identify the third quartile Q3 (the 75th percentile data point) 3. Identify the inter-quartile range(IQR): IQR=Q3-Q1 4. We present temporally dynamic population distribution data from the Helsinki Metropolitan Area, Finland, at the level of 250 m by 250 m statistical grid cells. Three hourly population distribution datasets are provided for regular workdays (Mon – Thu), Saturdays and Sundays. The data are based on aggregated mobile phone data collected by the biggest mobile network operator in Finland. Mobile phone data are assigned to statistical grid cells using an advanced dasymetric interpolation method based on ancillary data about land cover, buildings and a time use survey. The data were validated by comparing population register data from Statistics Finland for night-time hours and a daytime workplace registry. The resulting 24-hour population data can be used to reveal the temporal dynamics of the city and examine population variations relevant to for instance spatial accessibility analyses, crisis management and planning.

Column names
YKR_ID : a unique identifier for each statistical grid cell (n=13,231). The identifier is compatible with the statistical YKR grid cell data by Statistics Finland and Finnish Environment Institute.
H0, H1 ... H23 : Each field represents the proportional distribution of the total population in the study area between grid cells during a one-hour period. In total, 24 fields are formatted as “Hx”, where x stands for the hour of the day (values ranging from 0-23). For example, H0 stands for the first hour of the day: 00:00 - 00:59. The sum of all cell values for each field equals to 100 (i.e. 100% of total population for each one-hour period)
In order to visualize the data on a map, the result tables can be joined with the target_zones_grid250m_EPSG3067.geojson data. The data can be joined by using the field YKR_ID as a common key between the datasets.

In a historical and developmental sense, the former one-year reporting on employees employed in healthcare grew during 1990/91. in the continuous collection and monitoring of data through the state Register of Health Professionals. The department maintains data on all healthcare workers and healthcare associates, and on administrative and technical staff for now only numerically, according to the number of permanent employees at the end of the year. In the future, it is intended to register employees who are not health-oriented and work in healthcare, and healthcare professionals who work outside the healthcare system can also be registered.
Data on health workers and health care associates are required to be submitted not only by state and county-owned health institutions, but also by all private institutions, health workers who independently perform private practice, as well as trading companies for the performance of health activities, regardless of whether they have a contract with the Croatian Institute for health insurance.
All employees are assigned a registration number (code) upon entry into the Registry's database on the day of employment. The connection with the Croatian Health Insurance Institute exists through the use of the registration number when registering, recognizing within the CEZIH system, as well as when registering prescriptions, referrals and other documents of the HZZO. that is, in monitoring and building the health information system.
As an integral part of the same, relational databases also include data on health organizational units, representing the Register of Health Institutions. Namely, in addition to data on employees, the Registry, based on the decision of the Ministry of Health on work authorization, also records basic data on health institutions, surgeries and all other types of independent health units, regardless of the contract with the Croatian Health Insurance Institute or the type of ownership. As for employees, received data on the opening, closing, change of name, address, type and activity of the health organizational unit is also updated daily.
Thus, the organizational structure of healthcare is monitored through the database, according to levels of healthcare, types of healthcare institutions, healthcare activities performed by institutions, divisions with regard to the type of ownership as well as territorial distribution.
In addition to the importance of data on human potential and space, that is, the units where health care is provided, medical equipment is also an important factor in management and planning. One part of the department's work is related to the collection of data on this material resource. In the near future, it is planned to form a Register of Medically Expensive Equipment, which would be technologically and functionally connected with the existing two registers into a whole register of resources in healthcare.
Also, the statistical research aims to include those entities that are not part of the health system, and in which health workers work, i.e. health activities are performed, such as long-term care homes, which means expanding the existing data of the Register of Health Institutions.
In the last decade, a new IT application of the Registry of Health Care Professionals was created and an even better connection with the Croatian Institute for Health Insurance, for example through the use of the so-called population register or the register of insured persons. The register continues to be the source of data and the authorized institution for the delivery of data to international bodies such as the WHO and the joint WHO/Eurostat/OECD database. Within the scope of the Department's activities are also activities in international initiatives and programs, and with regard to the problems of statistical monitoring, shortages and planning of health workers. Since 2012, we have been involved in the implementation of the "Global Code of Practice on International Recruitment of Health Personnel", a recommendation that is also an instrument in the regulation, improvement and establishment of standards in the migration process.

The health and demography of the South African population has been undergoing substantial changes as a result of the rapidly progressing HIV epidemic. Researchers at the University of KwaZulu-Natal and the South African Medical Research Council established The Africa Health Research Studies in 1997 funded by a core grant from The Wellcome Trust, UK. Given the urgent need for high quality longitudinal data with which to monitor these changes, and with which to evaluate interventions to mitigate impact, a demographic surveillance system (DSS) was established in a rural South African population facing a rapid and severe HIV epidemic. The DSS, referred to as the Africa Health Research Institute Demographic Information System (ACDIS), started in 2000.
ACDIS was established to ‘describe the demographic, social and health impact of the HIV epidemic in a population going through the health transition’ and to monitor the impact of intervention strategies on the epidemic. South Africa’s political and economic history has resulted in highly mobile urban and rural populations, coupled with complex, fluid households. In order to successfully monitor the epidemic, it was necessary to collect longitudinal demographic data (e.g. mortality, fertility, migration) on the population and to mirror this complex social reality within the design of the demographic information system. To this end, three primary subjects are observed longitudinally in ACDIS: physical structures (e.g. homesteads, clinics and schools), households and individuals. The information about these subjects, and all related information, is stored in a single MSSQL Server database, in a truly longitudinal way—i.e. not as a series of cross-sections.
The surveillance area is located near the market town of Mtubatuba in the Umkanyakude district of KwaZulu-Natal. The area is 438 square kilometers in size and includes a population of approximately 85 000 people who are members of approximately 11 000 households. The population is almost exclusively Zulu-speaking. The area is typical of many rural areas of South Africa in that while predominantly rural, it contains an urban township and informal peri-urban settlements. The area is characterized by large variations in population densities (20–3000 people/km2). In the rural areas, homesteads are scattered rather than grouped. Most households are multi-generational and range with an average size of 7.9 (SD:4.7) members. Despite being a predominantly rural area, the principle source of income for most households is waged employment and state pensions rather than agriculture. In 2006, approximately 77% of households in the surveillance area had access to piped water and toilet facilities.
To fulfil the eligibility criteria for the ACDIS cohort, individuals must be a member of a household within the surveillance area but not necessarily resident within it. Crucially, this means that ACDIS collects information on resident and non-resident members of households and makes a distinction between membership (self-defined on the basis of links to other household members) and residency (residing at a physical structure within the surveillance area at a particular point in time). Individuals can be members of more than one household at any point in time (e.g. polygamously married men whose wives maintain separate households). As of June 2006, there were 85 855 people under surveillance of whom 33% were not resident within the surveillance area. Obtaining information on non-resident members is vital for a number of reasons. Most importantly, understanding patterns of HIV transmission within rural areas requires knowledge about patterns of circulation and about sexual contacts between residents and their non-resident partners. To be consistent with similar datasets from other INDEPTH Member centres, this data set contains data from resident members only.
During data collection, households are visited by fieldworkers and information supplied by a single key informant. All births, deaths and migrations of household members are recorded. If household members have moved internally within the surveillance area, such moves are reconciled and the internal migrant retains the original identfier associated with him/her.
Demographic surveillance area situated in the south-east portion of the uMkhanyakude district of KwaZulu-Natal province near the town of Mtubatuba. It is bounded on the west by the Umfolozi-Hluhluwe nature reserve, on the South by the Umfolozi river, on the East by the N2 highway (except form portions where the Kwamsane township strandles the highway) and in the North by the Inyalazi river for portions of the boundary. The area is 438 square kilometers.

Resident household members of households resident within the demographic surveillance area. Inmigrants are defined by intention to become resident, but actual residence episodes of less than 180 days are censored. Outmigrants are defined by intention to become resident elsewhere, but actual periods of non-residence less than 180 days are censored. Children born to resident women are considered resident by default, irrespective of actual place of birth. The dataset contains the events of all individuals ever resident during the study period (1 Jan 2000 to 31 Dec 2015).

This dataset contains rounds 1 to 37 of demographic surveillance data covering the period from 1 Jan 2000 to 31 December 2015. On data entry data consistency and plausibility were checked by 455 data validation rules at database level. If data validaton failure was due to a data collection error, the questionnaire was referred back to the field for revisit and correction. If the error was due to data inconsistencies that could not be directly traced to a data collection error, the record was referred to the data quality team under the supervision of the senior database scientist. This could request further field level investigation by a team of trackers or could correct the inconsistency directly at database level.
No imputations were done on the resulting micro data set, except for:

In this file there are statistics for a number of variables broken down by Malmö’s different areas over time. Source Unless otherwise stated, the statistics in this database are retrieved from Statistics Sweden’s (SCB) regional database, Skånedatabasen or from Statistics Sweden’s area statistics database (OSDB). The Skåne database and OSDB show data from several different sources that Statistics Sweden has compiled on a geographical level. The statistics only cover persons who are part of the population registered in the population. Therefore, persons without a residence permit, such as asylum seekers, and persons who simply have not registered in the municipality are not included. Statistics Sweden does not provide statistics on which language residents speak, which religion you belong to or what ethnicity or political views you have. Therefore, such data is not available here either. However, the Electoral Authority reports election results per constituency on its website val.se. There are statistics from the last election as well as several previous elections available. Please note, however, that the constituencies do not necessarily follow the division of the city made here. Update The data is updated every spring as Statistics Sweden releases the figures to the municipality. Most variables are available for the year before. However, income and employment data are released with another year’s backlog. Unless otherwise stated, the date of measurement is 31 December of each year. Geographical breakdown Unless otherwise stated, the data is available for Malmö as a whole and broken down into urban areas (5 pieces), districts (10 pieces) and subareas (136 pieces). In addition to these, there is a residual post that contains the people who are not written in a specific place in the municipality, have protected identity and more. These people are also part of the total. In several of the subareas there are no or only a few registered population registers. Therefore, no data are reported for these areas. Examples of such sub-areas are parks such as Pildammsparken and Kroksbäcksparken and industrial areas such as Fosieby Industriområde and Spillepengen. Privacy clearance In order to protect the identity of individuals, the data is confidentially audited. This means that small values are suppressed, i.e. replaced by empty cells. However, the values are included in summaries. In general, the following rules apply: * No statistics are reported for geographical areas with very few housing. * No cells with fewer than 5 individuals are reported. For data classified as sensitive (e.g. income and country of birth), larger values can also be suppressed. * In cases where a subcategory (e.g. a training category) is too small to be accounted for, all categories are often suppressed. AP VoteCast is a survey of the American electorate conducted by NORC at the University of Chicago for Fox News, NPR, PBS NewsHour, Univision News, USA Today Network, The Wall Street Journal and The Associated Press.
AP VoteCast combines interviews with a random sample of registered voters drawn from state voter files with self-identified registered voters selected using nonprobability approaches. In general elections, it also includes interviews with self-identified registered voters conducted using NORC’s probability-based AmeriSpeak® panel, which is designed to be representative of the U.S. population.
Interviews are conducted in English and Spanish. Respondents may receive a small monetary incentive for completing the survey. Participants selected as part of the random sample can be contacted by phone and mail and can take the survey by phone or online. Participants selected as part of the nonprobability sample complete the survey online.
In the 2020 general election, the survey of 133,103 interviews with registered voters was conducted between Oct. 26 and Nov. 3, concluding as polls closed on Election Day. AP VoteCast delivered data about the presidential election in all 50 states as well as all Senate and governors’ races in 2020.
This is survey data and must be properly weighted during analysis: DO NOT REPORT THIS DATA AS RAW OR AGGREGATE NUMBERS!!
Instead, use statistical software such as R or SPSS to weight the data.
National Survey
The national AP VoteCast survey of voters and nonvoters in 2020 is based on the results of the 50 state-based surveys and a nationally representative survey of 4,141 registered voters conducted between Nov. 1 and Nov. 3 on the probability-based AmeriSpeak panel. It included 41,776 probability interviews completed online and via telephone, and 87,186 nonprobability interviews completed online. The margin of sampling error is plus or minus 0.4 percentage points for voters and 0.9 percentage points for nonvoters.
State Surveys
In 20 states in 2020, AP VoteCast is based on roughly 1,000 probability-based interviews conducted online and by phone, and roughly 3,000 nonprobability interviews conducted online. In these states, the margin of sampling error is about plus or minus 2.3 percentage points for voters and 5.5 percentage points for nonvoters.
In an additional 20 states, AP VoteCast is based on roughly 500 probability-based interviews conducted online and by phone, and roughly 2,000 nonprobability interviews conducted online. In these states, the margin of sampling error is about plus or minus 2.9 percentage points for voters and 6.9 percentage points for nonvoters.
In the remaining 10 states, AP VoteCast is based on about 1,000 nonprobability interviews conducted online. In these states, the margin of sampling error is about plus or minus 4.5 percentage points for voters and 11.0 percentage points for nonvoters.
Although there is no statistically agreed upon approach for calculating margins of error for nonprobability samples, these margins of error were estimated using a measure of uncertainty that incorporates the variability associated with the poll estimates, as well as the variability associated with the survey weights as a result of calibration. After calibration, the nonprobability sample yields approximately unbiased estimates.
As with all surveys, AP VoteCast is subject to multiple sources of error, including from sampling, question wording and order, and nonresponse.
Sampling Details
Probability-based Registered Voter Sample
In each of the 40 states in which AP VoteCast included a probability-based sample, NORC obtained a sample of registered voters from Catalist LLC’s registered voter database. This database includes demographic information, as well as addresses and phone numbers for registered voters, allowing potential respondents to be contacted via mail and telephone. The sample is stratified by state, partisanship, and a modeled likelihood to respond to the postcard based on factors such as age, race, gender, voting history, and census block group education. In addition, NORC attempted to match sampled records to a registered voter database maintained by L2, which provided additional phone numbers and demographic information.
Prior to dialing, all probability sample records were mailed a postcard inviting them to complete the survey either online using a unique PIN or via telephone by calling a toll-free number. Postcards were addressed by name to the sampled registered voter if that individual was under age 35; postcards were addressed to “registered voter” in all other cases. Telephone interviews were conducted with the adult that answered the phone following confirmation of registered voter status in the state.
Nonprobability Sample
Nonprobability participants include panelists from Dynata or Lucid, including members of its third-party panels. In addition, some registered voters were selected from the voter file, matched to email addresses by V12, and recruited via an email invitation to the survey. Digital fingerprint software and panel-level ID validation is used to prevent respondents from completing the AP VoteCast survey multiple times.
AmeriSpeak Sample
During the initial recruitment phase of the AmeriSpeak panel, randomly selected U.S. households were sampled with a known, non-zero probability of selection from the NORC National Sample Frame and then contacted by mail, email, telephone and field interviewers (face-to-face). The panel provides sample coverage of approximately 97% of the U.S. household population. Those excluded from the sample include people with P.O. Box-only addresses, some addresses not listed in the U.S. Postal Service Delivery Sequence File and some newly constructed dwellings. Registered voter status was confirmed in field for all sampled panelists.
Weighting Details
AP VoteCast employs a four-step weighting approach that combines the probability sample with the nonprobability sample and refines estimates at a subregional level within each state. In a general election, the 50 state surveys and the AmeriSpeak survey are weighted separately and then combined into a survey representative of voters in all 50 states.
State Surveys
First, weights are constructed separately for the probability sample (when available) and the nonprobability sample for each state survey. These weights are adjusted to population totals to correct for demographic imbalances in age, gender, education and race/ethnicity of the responding sample compared to the population of registered voters in each state. In 2020, the adjustment targets are derived from a combination of data from the U.S. Census Bureau’s November 2018 Current Population Survey Voting and Registration Supplement, Catalist’s voter file and the Census Bureau’s 2018 American Community Survey. Prior to adjusting to population totals, the probability-based registered voter list sample weights are adjusted for differential non-response related to factors such as availability of phone numbers, age, race and partisanship.
Second, all respondents receive a calibration weight. The calibration weight is designed to ensure the nonprobability sample is similar to the probability sample in regard to variables that are predictive of vote choice, such as partisanship or direction of the country, which cannot be fully captured through the prior demographic adjustments. The calibration benchmarks are based on regional level estimates from regression models that incorporate all probability and nonprobability cases nationwide.
Third, all respondents in each state are weighted to improve estimates for substate geographic regions. This weight combines the weighted probability (if available) and nonprobability samples, and then uses a small area model to improve the estimate within subregions of a state.
Fourth, the survey results are weighted to the actual vote count following the completion of the election. This weighting is done in 10–30 subregions within each state.
National Survey
In a general election, the national survey is weighted to combine the 50 state surveys with the nationwide AmeriSpeak survey. Each of the state surveys is weighted as described. The AmeriSpeak survey receives a nonresponse-adjusted weight that is then adjusted to national totals for registered voters that in 2020 were derived from the U.S. Census Bureau’s November 2018 Current Population Survey Voting and Registration Supplement, the Catalist voter file and the Census Bureau’s 2018 American Community Survey. The state surveys are further adjusted to represent their appropriate proportion of the registered voter population for the country and combined with the AmeriSpeak survey. After all votes are counted, the national data file is adjusted to match the national popular vote for president.

A data set designed to provide a cross-sectional description of health, mental, and social status of the oldest-old segment of the elderly population in Israel, and to serve as a baseline for a multiple-stage research program to correlate demographic, health, and functional status with subsequent mortality, selected morbidity, and institutionalization. Study data are based on a sample of Jewish subjects aged 75+, alive and living in Israel on January 1, 1989, randomly selected from the National Population Register (NPR), a complete listing of the Israeli population maintained by the Ministry of the Interior. The NPR is updated on a routine basis with births, deaths, and in and out migration, and corrected by linkage with census data. The sample was stratified by age (five 5-year age groups: 75-79, 80-84, 85-89, 90-94, 95+), sex, and place of birth (Israel, Asia-Africa, Europe-America). One hundred subjects were randomly selected in each of the 30 strata. However, there were less than 100 individuals of each sex aged 95+ born in Israel, so all were selected for the sample. The total group included 2,891 individuals living both in the community and in institutions. A total of 1,820 (76%) of the 75-94 age group were interviewed during 1989-1992. An additional cognitive exam (Folstein) and a 24-hour dietary recall interview were added in the second round. Kibbutz Residents Sample The kibbutz is a social and economic unit based on equality among members, common property and work, collaborative consumption, and democracy in decision making. There are 250 kibbutzim in Israel, and their population constitutes about 3% of the country''s total population. All kibbutz residents in the country aged 85+, both members and parents, were selected for interviewing, of whom 80.4% (n=652) were interviewed. A matched sample aged 75-84 was selected, and 85.9% (n=674) were successfully interviewed. The original interview took approximately two hours to administer, and collected extensive information concerning the socio-demographic, physical, health, functioning, life events (including Holocaust), depression, mental status, and social network characteristics of the sample. The questionnaire used for kibbutz residents in the follow-up interview is identical to that utilized in the national random sample. Data Availability: Mortality data for both the national and kibbutz samples are available for analysis as a result of the linkage to the NPR file updated as of June 2000. This indicator provides an estimate of the average number of inhabitants per household per hectare. For each hectare cell, the value of the number of inhabitants is divided by the number of inhabited address points (as a proxy of households) in the hectare cell. For this indicator, the same basic data are followed as for the indicator 'Inhabitant density per ha' and 'Household density per ha' . The population dataset describes the location and the number of inhabitants per address on the basis of a point file. This file is created by Digital Flanders (DV) based on data from the National Register. The location of the addresses is determined by a geocoding of the addresses based on CRAB (CRAB population numbers version 0.1). The number of records in the dataset (i.e. number of addresses) of which the number of inhabitants is not equal to '0' or 'NoData (-99)' is used as a proxy for the number of households. Addresses for which the number of inhabitants is equal to 0 are addresses from the CRAB database that do not appear in the National Register and where no one lives. Addresses with a 'NoData' value are addresses for which the number of inhabitants is not exactly known. This is the case, for example, for subaddresses whose population in the National Register is only known at house number level and not per subaddress. The total number of households in Flanders according to this assumption is lower than the total number of households reported by the FPS Economy. The dataset is corrected for this difference at the level of the municipalities on the basis of the statistics of the number of households per municipality. To this end, the sum of the number of households per municipality is first made on the basis of the points file. Subsequently, the factor of this sum is calculated in relation to the reported number of households by Statbel. This factor is then applied to all address points. For example, if 5% fewer households are calculated in a certain municipality on the basis of the points file compared to the statistics, the number of households is increased by 5% at each point location. Context
The dataset tabulates the Register population over the last 20 plus years. It lists the population for each year, along with the year on year change in population, as well as the change in percentage terms for each year. The dataset can be utilized to understand the population change of Register across the last two decades. For example, using this dataset, we can identify if the population is declining or increasing. If there is a change, when the population peaked, or if it is still growing and has not reached its peak. We can also compare the trend with the overall trend of United States population over the same period of time.

My HealtheVet (www.myhealth.va.gov) is a Personal Health Record portal designed to improve the delivery of health care services to Veterans, to promote health and wellness, and to engage Veterans as more active participants in their health care. The My HealtheVet portal enables Veterans to create and maintain a web-based PHR that provides access to patient health education information and resources, a comprehensive personal health journal, and electronic services such as online VA prescription refill requests and Secure Messaging. Veterans can visit the My HealtheVet website and self-register to create an account, although registration is not required to view the professionally-sponsored health education resources, including topics of special interest to the Veteran population. Once registered, Veterans can create a customized PHR that is accessible from any computer with Internet access.
The Ouagadougou Health and Demographic Surveillance System (Ouagadougou HDSS), located in five neighborhoods at the northern periphery of the capital of Burkina Faso, was established in 2008. Data on vital events (births, deaths, unions, migration events) are collected during household visits that have taken place every 10 months.
The areas were selected to contrast informal neighborhoods (40,000 residents) with formal areas (40,000 residents), with the aims of understanding the problems of the urban poor, and testing innovative programs that promote the well-being of this population. People living in informal areas tend to be marginalized in several ways: they are younger, poorer, less educated, farther from public services and more often migrants. Half of the residents live in the Sanitary District of Kossodo and the other half in the District of Sig-Nonghin.
The Ouaga HDSS has been used to study health inequalities, conduct a surveillance of typhoid fever, measure water quality in informal areas, study the link between fertility and school investments, test a non-governmental organization (NGO)-led program of poverty alleviation and test a community-led targeting of the poor eligible for benefits in the urban context. Key informants help maintain a good rapport with the community.
The areas researchers follow consist of 55 census tracks divided into 494 blocks. Researchers mapped all the census tracks and blocks using fieldworkers with handheld global positioning system (GPS) receivers and ArcGIS. During a first census (October 2008 to March 2009), the demographic surveillance system was explained to every head of household and a consent form was signed; during subsequent censuses, new households were enrolled in the same way.

Inmigrants (visitors) are defined by intention to become resident, but actual residence episodes of less than six months (180 days) are censored. Outmigrants are defined by intention to become resident elsewhere, but actual periods of non-residence less than six months (180 days) are censored. Children born to resident women are considered resident by default, irrespective of actual place of birth. The dataset contains the events of all individuals ever residents during the study period (03 Oct. 2009 to 31 Dec. 2014).

The data collection system is composed by two databases: - A temporary database, which contains data collected and transferred each day during the round. - A reference database, which contains all data of Ouagadougou Health and Demographic Surveillance System, in which is transferred the data of the temporary database to the end of each round. The temporary database is emptied at the end of the round for a new round.
The data processing takes place in two ways:
1) When collecting data with PDAs or tablets and theirs transfers by Wi-Fi, data consistency and plausibility are controlled by verification rules in the mobile application and in the database. In addition to these verifications, the data from the temporary database undergo validation. This validation is performed each week and produces a validation report for the data collection team. After the validation, if the error is due to an error in the data collection, the field worker equipped with his PDA or tablet go back to the field to revisit and correct this error. At the end of this correction, the field worker makes again the transfer of data through the wireless access points on the server. If the error is due to data inconsistencies that might not be directly related to an error in data collection, the case is remanded to the scientific team of the main database that could resolve the inconsistency directly in the database or could with supervisors perform a thorough investigation in order to correct the error.
2) At the end of the round, the data from the temporary database are automatically transferred into the reference database by a transfer program. After the success of this transfer, further validation is performed on the data in the database to ensure data consistency and plausibility. This still produces a validation report for the data collection team. And the same process of error correction is taken.

For this indicator, the same basic data are followed as for the indicator 'Inhabitant density per ha' and 'Household density per ha' . The population dataset describes the location and the number of inhabitants per address on the basis of a point file. This file is created by Digital Flanders (DV) based on data from the National Register. The location of the addresses is determined by a geocoding of the addresses based on CRAB (CRAB population numbers version 0.1). The number of records in the dataset (i.e. number of addresses) of which the number of inhabitants is not equal to '0' or 'NoData (-99)' is used as a proxy for the number of households. Addresses for which the number of inhabitants is equal to 0 are addresses from the CRAB database that do not appear in the National Register and where no one lives. Addresses with a 'NoData' value are addresses for which the number of inhabitants is not exactly known. This is the case, for example, for subaddresses whose population in the National Register is only known at house number level and not per subaddress. The total number of households in Flanders according to this assumption is lower than the total number of households reported by the FPS Economy. The dataset is corrected for this difference at the level of the municipalities on the basis of the statistics of the number of households per municipality. To this end, the sum of the number of households per municipality is first made on the basis of the points file. Subsequently, the factor of this sum is calculated in relation to the reported number of households by Statbel. This factor is then applied to all address points. For example, if 5% fewer households are calculated in a certain municipality on the basis of the points file compared to the statistics, the number of households is increased by 5% at each point location. Context
The dataset tabulates the Register population over the last 20 plus years. It lists the population for each year, along with the year on year change in population, as well as the change in percentage terms for each year. The dataset can be utilized to understand the population change of Register across the last two decades. For example, using this dataset, we can identify if the population is declining or increasing. If there is a change, when the population peaked, or if it is still growing and has not reached its peak. We can also compare the trend with the overall trend of United States population over the same period of time.
Key observations
In 2023, the population of Register was 166, a 2.47% increase year-by-year from 2022. Previously, in 2022, Register population was 162, an increase of 1.89% compared to a population of 159 in 2021. Over the last 20 plus years, between 2000 and 2023, population of Register increased by 5. In this period, the peak population was 194 in the year 2019.
