    Description

Expected years of school is calculated as the sum of age-specific enrollment rates between ages 4 and 17. Age-specific enrollment rates are approximated using school enrollment rates at different levels: pre-primary enrollment rates approximate the age-specific enrolment rates for 4 and 5 year-olds; the primary rate approximates for 6-11 year-olds; the lower-secondary rate approximates for 12-14 year-olds; and the upper-secondary approximates for 15-17 year-olds. Most recent estimates are used. Year of most recent primary enrollment rate used is shown in data notes.

    Description

Expected number of inhabitants 0 years in 5 years. The number of live-born children, deceased, displaced and displaced persons registered during the year is used to make the proscription. This information estimates fertility, mortality, number of immigrants, migration distributions and migration risks by age and gender. The estimates then form the basis for the calculation of the future development of the number of births, deaths, displaced and displaced. Please note that this prediction is based only on statistics available nationally and should not be confused with forecasts produced by the municipalities themselves. As of 2022, data will be published every three years. Data is available according to gender breakdown.

    Deaths

    • source:
    • STMF:
      • harmonized to single ages via pclm
      • pclm iterates over country, sex, year, and within-year age grouping pattern and converts irregular age groupings, which may vary by country, year and week into a regular age grouping of 0:110
      • smoothing parameters estimated via BIC grid search seperately for every pclm iteration
      • last age group set to [110,111)
      • ages 100:110+ are then summed into 100+ to be consistent with mid-year population information
      • deaths in unknown weeks are considered; deaths in unknown ages are not considered
    • ONS:
      • data already in single ages
      • ages 100:105+ are summed into 100+ to be consistent with mid-year population information
      • PCLM smoothing applied to for consistency reasons
    • CDC:
      • The CDC data comes in single ages 0:100 for the US. For 2020 we only have the STMF data in a much coarser age grouping, i.e. (0, 1, 5, 15, 25, 35, 45, 55, 65, 75, 85+). In order to calculate life-tables in a manner consistent with 2020, we summarise the pre 2020 US death counts into the 2020 age grouping and then apply the pclm ungrouping into single year ages, mirroring the approach to the 2020 data

    Description

Expected number of inhabitants 0-19 years in 5 years in the municipality divided by the expected number of inhabitants in total in 5 years in the municipality.
