    Description

ABSTRACT The exam of Brazilian Economy’s cyclic in the post-real period is considered a relevant theme when considered that the this it indicates the simultaneous existence of supply and demand shocks. Tring to show it, the models Money-in-the-Utility function (MIU) and Cash-in-Advanced (CIA) have been used. Although the artificial economies simulated -pattern and monetary- have shown higher adequacy to stylized facts when the rigidities of prices and salaries are considered, the volatile behavior of nominal variables had not been completely reproduced in both artificial economy. The effect of monetary shocks can’t be under estimated, because they showed characteristic behavior of economies with a certain level of instability.

    Northeast Region, Brazil
    Description

This paper analyzes the new Information Technology (IT) segment in the Brazilian Northeast from the changes and trends brought about by the 2015 economic crisis, subsequently aggravated by the Covid-19 pandemic. It focuses particularly on labor status indicators among IT professionals in the region. To do so, it examines empirical studies previously carried out and secondary data, prioritizing the Annual Service Survey (PAS) and the Continuous National Household Sample Survey (PNADC), both from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), with greater emphasis on the Annual Social Information Report (Rais). Results showed that, both at the national and regional levels, the crisis negatively impacted this segment, despite its stock of formal jobs having continued its growth trajectory.
