This polyline feature class contains the Inventory of Right of Way for Hillsborough County excluding Cities and Platted Areas.The drawings that make up the Hillsborough County Right of Way Inventory Program show platting, recording, mapping or other sources of right of way information where available. In areas where the maintained right of way limits were spotted and field data collected, the drawings provide that line work in the layer (Sv-rdrw-mant-lin, the "orange" layer) as located, in NAD 83 Adjustment of 1990 SPC grid. The field location documentation for the limits of maintained right of way layer is referenced in a separate XLS file with information as to when and by whom the limits of maintenance were spotted. The limits of maintained right of way are required to be used in the preparation of plats made to be recorded in Hillsborough County. In the case of right of way that is depicted in “modern plats” the State Plane Co-ordinate data shown on plats was used to incorporate these plats into the Hillsborough County Right of Way Inventory drawings.Definitions of Right of Way as used in the Hillsborough County Right of Way Inventory:1.) Right of Way by Deed - Right of Way Owned by Hillsborough County by a recorded deed specifically to Hillsborough County.2.) Right of Way by Plat - Right of Way that has been dedicated by a recorded subdivision plat.3.) Right of Way by Deed Exception - Right of Way whereby specific footage has been explicitly exempted from a deed.4.) Right of Way by Property Line - Right of Way whereby the property line defined by a deed follows the same line as the right of way so that both lines are co-incident.5.) Limits of Maintenance – The physical limits of the maintenance of a road as delineated by the Road and Street maintenance division of the Public Works Department, where no other right of way dedication exists or where the maintenance limits exceed the described property lines in a significant manner.

TwitterThe FDOT Shared Path feature class provides spatial information on shared paths along roadways. A shared path is an asphalt-paved way, within the highway right of way, at least ten feet wide, separated from the shoulder or back of curb by an open space at least five feet wide or by a barrier, not signed as closed to bicycle use, designation as a shared path not required. It is restricted from motor vehicle usage. The shared path separation is an important safety measure. The greater the distance the shared path is from the roadway, the less chance there is for conflict between pedestrians/bicycles and vehicles. This information is required for all highways, including bridge segments. This dataset is maintained by the Transportation Data & Analytics office (TDA). TwitterThe Work Program Current layer is created from an extract of the Florida Department of Transportation’s Work Program Administration system. The Department has developed the Five-Year Work Program in accordance with section 339.135 Florida Statutes. The development of this Work Program involved extensive coordination with local governments, including Metropolitan Planning Organizations and other city and county officials. Public hearings were held in each of the seven transportation districts, and a statewide public hearing was held by the Florida Transportation Commission. The Florida Transportation Commission performed an in-depth review of this Work Program, and presented the results to the Executive Office of the Governor. The Department has based this Work Program on sound, multi-modal transportation concepts and the best available forecasts of costs and funding. As such, the Department has the financial capacity to embark on projects as they are planned. However, any diversion of state revenues presently dedicated to transportation-related purposes could limit the Department's ability to finance and deliver this Work Program. Also, the following circumstances, which are beyond the control of the Department, may significantly influence the stability of this work program: • Changes in federal or state revenue estimates • Increased inflation rates • Changes in bond market conditions • Changing federal regulations • Difficulty in acquiring right of way • Ecological and environmental factors • Extraordinary increases in right of way costs • Unanticipated contract litigation • Other economic forces impacting state transportation revenues • Changes in MPO/Local priorities The Department is committed to the policy of implementing projects as scheduled in this Work Program, minimizing changes to the plan, and ensuring appropriate communication of any necessary changes as they occur.
