The map depicts Federal Lands Highway (FLH) American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) projects, which are administered through the Federal Lands Divisions (FLD). These include projects that are funded by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Bureau of Reclamation (BOR), Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS), National Park Service (NPS), the US Forest Service (USFS) and other State-level projects.

The State of California defines the requirements for various positions through Classifications. Examples of Classifications are Office Technician, Staff Services Analyst, Information Technology Specialist I and about 3,000 others. The Federal Government classifies various occupations using ONET groupings. The data set contained here shows how the State of California maps its Classes to the ONET codes. The purpose of this mapping is to standardize reporting when needing to compare State positions to non-State positions.

This data set depicts federal lands having restrictions on access or activities -- that is, lands mangaed by the National Park Service, Defense Department, or Energy Department -- in western North America. The data set was created by reformatting and merging state- and province-based ownership data layers originally acquired from diverse sources (including state GAP programs, USBLM state offices and other sources). For each original dataset 3 additional fields, "Pub_Pvt", "CA_OWN", and "SOURCE" were added and populated based on the specific ownership information contained in the source data. The original coverages were then merged based on the "CA_OWN" field. Finally, NPS, DOD, and DOE lands were selected out of the ownership layer. All work was completed in AcMap 8.3. This product and all source data are available online from SAGEMAP: http://sagemap.wr.usgs.gov.

Contained within the 3rd Edition (1957) of the Atlas of Canada is a main map that shows eleven condensed maps of the Federal Electoral Districts as created by the Representation Order circa 1952. There are 265 members representing 263 districts (Halifax and Queen's on Prince Edward Island each have two members). The map is surrounded by eleven maps showing urban areas. All of these urban maps are at the same scale - 1:650 000. A table on the map lists the names of most districts. However, the districts in the urban insets are named directly on each inset map.

There are two types of boundary files: cartographic and digital. Cartographic boundary files portray the geographic areas using only the major land mass of Canada and its coastal islands. Digital boundary files portray the full extent of the geographic areas, including the coastal water area.

The BÜK1000 represents the distribution of soils throughout Germany and their socialization in a uniform form at the aggregation level of the lead soil associations. The map graphic is available in digital form. The text legend, which comprises 71 soil-related legend units, contains information on thoroughness, soil types, water conditions, source rocks as well as guide and accompanying soils. The parameters of the legend description and the 71 reference profiles (each containing 6 soil shapes and 19 horizons) are stored in a relational database. Version 2.1 is based on the topographical foundations of the Digital Topographic Map 1:1.000.000 (DTK1000-V) of the Federal Office of Cartography and Geodesy, which has been partially modified by the BGR. To improve the position accuracy, the geometry of the BÜK1000 was slightly revised on 23.12.2013.

The BÜK2000, version 1.0 was originally derived from the BÜK1000 as a soil data basis for the Hydrological Atlas of Germany (HAD) and, in combination with an accompanying text, selected photos and soil profile images, forms Table 1.3 in the HAD. The parameters of the BÜK1000 were adopted into the text legend summarised in 60 soil science units. In the course of the cartographic generalization, polygons that fell below a predetermined minimum area size were assigned to the neighboring areas with the lowest content contrast. Taking into account the proportion of foreign surfaces, several polygons with the same content were also summarised. The present version 2.0 is based on the current BÜK2000N, version 2.3 and has been mapped to a new map basis.

Contained within the Federal Elections, 1968 to 2001, Atlas of Canada series, is a map that shows the results of the federal election on October 30th, 1972. This map sheet has a main map at 1: 7 500 000 which shows the outline of federal electoral districts and has colour to show the party which was elected for the district. The map is surrounded by 16 urban-area insets showing similar information. Twelve of these insets are at 1: 500 000, and four are at 1: 250 000. There is a table listing the members elected for each district and giving the percentage of the valid votes that each member received. There is also a table showing percentages of the vote received by each party in Canada as a whole, and in each province and territory.

The BÜK3000 was originally derived from the BÜK2000 as a popular scientific soil overview map for the National Atlas of the Federal Republic of Germany. After a content and spatial update of the map base used for this purpose, the BÜK3000 was updated to a version 2.0 and for the soil atlas of Germany to a version 2.1. The map legend of this version continues to include 43 soil legend units with information on soil types, source rock, guide and accompanying soils.
