    The Digital Geohazards-GIS Map of Everglades National Park and Vicinity (2005 Mapping), Florida is composed of GIS data layers and GIS tables, and is available in the following GRI-supported GIS data formats: 1.) a 10.1 file geodatabase (ever_geohazard.gdb), a 2.) Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) geopackage, and 3.) 2.2 KMZ/KML file for use in Google Earth, however, this format version of the map is limited in data layers presented and in access to GRI ancillary table information. The file geodatabase format is supported with a 1.) ArcGIS Pro map file (.mapx) file (ever_geohazard.mapx) and individual Pro layer (.lyrx) files (for each GIS data layer), as well as with a 2.) 10.1 ArcMap (.mxd) map document (ever_geohazard.mxd) and individual 10.1 layer (.lyr) files (for each GIS data layer). The OGC geopackage is supported with a QGIS project (.qgz) file. Upon request, the GIS data is also available in ESRI 10.1 shapefile format. Contact Stephanie O'Meara (see contact information below) to acquire the GIS data in these GIS data formats. In addition to the GIS data and supporting GIS files, three additional files comprise a GRI digital geologic-GIS dataset or map: 1.) A GIS readme file (ever_geology_gis_readme.pdf), 2.) the GRI ancillary map information document (.pdf) file (ever_geology.pdf) which contains geologic unit descriptions, as well as other ancillary map information and graphics from the source map(s) used by the GRI in the production of the GRI digital geologic-GIS data for the park, and 3.) a user-friendly FAQ PDF version of the metadata (ever_geohazard_metadata_faq.pdf).     Description

    Wetlands in California are protected by several federal and state laws, regulations, and policies. This layer was extracted from the broader vegetation raster from the CA Nature project which was recently enhanced to include a more comprehensive definition of wetland. This wetlands dataset is used as an exclusion as part of the biological planning priorities in the CEC 2023 Land-Use Screens.

    This layer is featured in the CEC 2023 Land-Use Screens for Electric System Planning data viewer.

    For more information about this layer and its use in electric system planning, please refer to the Land Use Screens Staff Report in the CEC Energy Planning Library.

    DescriptionThis dataset is available for download from: Parcelization (File Geodatabase)Parcelization, a measure of size and density of parcels in a localized area, is a development feasibility factor that is used in evaluating substations’ ability to support new utility-scale resources in long-term energy planning. A statewide dataset of parcel boundaries are used to develop this index. The parcels are converted into a 90-meter raster, containing values of a unique identifier reflective of Parcel APN. A focal statistics tool is used to count the number of unique parcels within a 0.5 mile radius of each parcel. This output is provided here and is an intermediate output to the final parcelization map. Users who wish to use this information to produce the final map should overlay parcel boundary data and extract the mean raster value within each parcel. The map is limited to the area considered with solar technical resource potential after a minimum set of land-use screens (referred to as the Base Exclusions) has been applied. More information on the methods developing this dataset as well as the main use of this dataset in state electric system planning processes can be found in a recent CEC staff report and workshops supporting the resource-to-busbar mapping methodology for the 2024-2025 Transmission Planning Process.

    Description

    This packaged data collection contains two sets of two additional model runs that used the same inputs and parameters as our primary model, with the exception being we implemented a "maximum corridor length" constraint that allowed us to identify and visualize the corridors as being well-connected (≤15km) or moderately connected (≤45km). This is based on an assumption that corridors longer than 45km are too long to sufficiently accommodate dispersal. One of these sets is based on a maximum corridor length that uses Euclidean (straight-line) distance, while the other set is based on a maximum corridor length that uses cost-weighted distance. These two sets of corridors can be compared against the full set of corridors from our primary model to identify the remaining corridors, which could be considered poorly connected. This package includes the following data layers: Corridors classified as well connected (≤15km) based on Cost-weighted Distance Corridors classified as moderately connected (≤45km) based on Cost-weighted Distance Corridors classified as well connected (≤15km) based on Euclidean Distance Corridors classified as moderately connected (≤45km) based on Euclidean Distance Please refer to the embedded metadata and the information in our full report for details on the development of these data layers.     This layer features special areas of interest (AOIs) that have been contributed to Esri Community Maps using the new Community Maps Editor app. The data that is accepted by Esri will be included in selected Esri basemaps, including our suite of Esri Vector Basemaps, and made available through this layer to export and use offline.     Description

    The Digital Geomorphic-GIS Map of Perdido Key and Santa Rosa Island (1-foot resolution 2006-2007 mapping), Florida is composed of GIS data layers and GIS tables, and is available in the following GRI-supported GIS data formats: 1.) a 10.1 file geodatabase (pksr_geomorphology.gdb), and a 2.) Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) geopackage. The file geodatabase format is supported with a 1.) ArcGIS Pro map file (.mapx) file (pksr_geomorphology.mapx) and individual Pro layer (.lyrx) files (for each GIS data layer), as well as with a 2.) 10.1 ArcMap (.mxd) map document (pksr_geomorphology.mxd) and individual 10.1 layer (.lyr) files (for each GIS data layer). Upon request, the GIS data is also available in ESRI 10.1 shapefile format. Contact Stephanie O'Meara (see contact information below) to acquire the GIS data in these GIS data formats. In addition to the GIS data and supporting GIS files, three additional files comprise a GRI digital geologic-GIS dataset or map: 1.) A GIS readme file (guis_geology_gis_readme.pdf), 2.) the GRI ancillary map information document (.pdf) file (guis_geomorphology.pdf) which contains geologic unit descriptions, as well as other ancillary map information and graphics from the source map(s) used by the GRI in the production of the GRI digital geologic-GIS data for the park, and 3.) a user-friendly FAQ PDF version of the metadata (pksr_geomorphology_metadata_faq.pdf). Please read the guis_geology_gis_readme.pdf for information pertaining to the proper extraction of the GIS data and other map files. The data were completed as a component of the Geologic Resources Inventory (GRI) program, a National Park Service (NPS) Inventory and Monitoring (I&M) Division funded program that is administered by the NPS Geologic Resources Division (GRD). Based on the source map scale of 1:20,000 and United States National Map Accuracy Standards features are within (horizontally) 10.2 meters or 33.3 feet of their actual location as presented by this dataset. Users of this data should thus not assume the location of features is exactly where they are portrayed in ArcGIS, QGIS or other software used to display this dataset.     Description

    City of Cambridge, MA, GIS basemap development project encompasses the land area of City of Cambridge with a 200-foot fringe surrounding the area and Charles River shoreline towards Boston. The basemap data was developed at 1" = 40' mapping scale using digital photogrammetric techniques. Planimetric features; both man-made and natural features like vegetation, rivers have been depicted. These features are important to all GIS/mapping applications and publication. A set of data layers such as Buildings, Roads, Rivers, Utility structures, 1 ft interval contours are developed and represented in the geodatabase. The features are labeled and coded in order to represent specific feature class for thematic representation and topology between the features is maintained for an accurate representation at the 1:40 mapping scale for both publication and analysis. The basemap data has been developed using procedures designed to produce data to the National Standard for Spatial Data Accuracy (NSSDA) and is intended for use at 1" = 40 ' mapping scale.
