    Description

The ChFinAnn dataset is a publicly available financial event dataset that includes five types of financial events: Equity Freeze, Equity Pledge, Equity Repurchase, Equity Overweight, and Equity Underweight. This dataset consists of 32040 samples and 48000 event records, of which approximately 29% of the documents contain more than one record. In addition, 98% of the records have arguments scattered across different sentences, which poses additional challenges for event extraction. This dataset was built to support document level event extraction asks, particularly in the financial field. It is not only large in scale, but also has the characteristics of multi event recording and argument dispersion, which make it a valuable resource for researching document level event extraction.

    Description

Ten years (2008-2018) ChFinAnn documents and human-summarized event knowledge bases to conduct the DS-based event labeling. Five event types included: Equity Freeze (EF), Equity Repurchase (ER), Equity Underweight (EU), Equity Overweight (EO) and Equity Pledge (EP), which belong to major events required to be disclosed by the regulator and may have a huge impact on the company value. To ensure the labeling quality, the authors set constraints for matched document-record pairs.

There are 32, 040 documents in total, and this number is ten times larger than 2, 976 of DCFEE and about 53 times larger than 599 of ACE 2005. These documents are divided into train, development, and test set with the proportion of 8 : 1 : 1 based on the time order. This DS-generated data are pretty good, achieving high precision and acceptable recall. In later experiments, the authors directly employ the automatically generated test set for evaluation due to its much broad coverage.

    Description

Over the past five years, rising disposable income and a temporary spike in the marriage rate didn’t do much to support demand for event planners, as most consumers and businesses lost their footing following a period of economic volatility. When social distancing guidelines eased, party and event planners experienced a moderate surge as clients who postponed their events during the pandemic were eager to celebrate. This temporary advancement was not enough for party planners to significantly recover, with revenue rising at a CAGR of just 0.1% over the past five years. Revenue will total $6.8 billion in 2024, when it will contract 0.8%. Many businesses shifted to remote work and as office rental vacancies remained high, party and event planners saw less business from corporate clients. Inflationary pressures and falling consumer confidence disincentivized businesses from seeking party and event planners’ services, encouraging them to focus on essential purchases and cutting discretionary spending. Despite facing headwinds, party and event planners enjoyed mild profit growth because of the surge in marriages in 2021 and 2022, as pent-up demand following the lifting of social distancing measures spurred renewed demand.Over the next five years, party and event planners will undergo modest growth. Rising disposable income and higher corporate profit than the current period will support party planners. Still, a plummeting marriage rate and a preference for DIY will continue to limit revenue and profit growth. Barriers to entry will remain low as virtual event planning services remain popular, allowing new planners to enter and intensify internal competition. Industry revenue is expected to expand at a CAGR of 0.7% to $7.1 billion through the end of 2029.

    Description

The Economic Indictor Service (EIS) aims to deliver professional economic content to financial institutions on both the buy and sell side service providers. This service covers 136 countries and 43,000 recurring indicators, which are updated on a real-time basis.

We are currently adding additional indicators/countries from Africa as well as expanding our coverage of Indicators in G20. In addition, it provided data of over 1,700 non-recurring indicators in 2020.

The EIS service includes historic data on recurring economic indicators. Recurring events include GDP data, unemployment releases, PMI numbers etc. Information on economic indicators, includes details of issuing agency and historical data series is made available depending on its availability.

The two components available for the Economic Calendar are the following:

    1. Live Calendar - updated 24/5 immediately after the data is released and with limited history for recurring indicators.

    2. Historical Database - Database of all recurring indicators (with complete history) and non-recurring indicators

Live Calendar can be embedded on client's website using iFrame or API. Historical Database can be made available via API or FTP.

Additional Features of the Economic Indicator Service - Delivery of unique newsfeed by using algorithms and analysts - Feed to client’s website with customized branding - Automatic feed to social media accounts, such as: Twitter and Facebook - Desktop ticker updates - Mobile App integration - Bespoke dashboards for macro-economic & industry reports And most importantly, clients can customize filters to get the specific economic indicators (e.g. for specific countries) they need.

A good retail broker can gain advantage by minimizing the time lag in real time information flow to retail investors vis-à-vis institutional investors. One way to achieve this is by providing access to clients with timely and accurate access to all major economic and other market moving announcements / data. - In order to minimize this disadvantage, many broker dealers provide economic calendar and news flows on their trading platforms. - We have developed two distinct products – Economic Calendar and Economic News to meet this requirement.
