    About this dataset

    Context

    The dataset tabulates the Miami Beach population over the last 20 plus years. It lists the population for each year, along with the year on year change in population, as well as the change in percentage terms for each year. The dataset can be utilized to understand the population change of Miami Beach across the last two decades. For example, using this dataset, we can identify if the population is declining or increasing. If there is a change, when the population peaked, or if it is still growing and has not reached its peak. We can also compare the trend with the overall trend of United States population over the same period of time.

    Key observations

    In 2023, the population of Miami Beach was 79,607, a 0.50% decrease year-by-year from 2022. Previously, in 2022, Miami Beach population was 80,004, a decline of 1.07% compared to a population of 80,872 in 2021. Over the last 20 plus years, between 2000 and 2023, population of Miami Beach decreased by 8,695. In this period, the peak population was 90,572 in the year 2016.     About this dataset

    Context

The dataset can be utilized to understand the population change of Palm Coast across the last two decades. For example, using this dataset, we can identify if the population is declining or increasing.     In 2023, the population of Palm Coast was 102,113, a 3.72% increase year-by-year from 2022. Previously, in 2022, Palm Coast population was 98,455, an increase of 4.96% compared to a population of 93,805 in 2021. Over the last 20 plus years, between 2000 and 2023, population of Palm Coast increased by 69,133. In this period, the peak population was 102,113 in the year 2023.     About this dataset

    Context

    The dataset tabulates the Flagler Beach population over the last 20 plus years. It lists the population for each year, along with the year on year change in population, as well as the change in percentage terms for each year. The dataset can be utilized to understand the population change of Flagler Beach across the last two decades. For example, using this dataset, we can identify if the population is declining or increasing. If there is a change, when the population peaked, or if it is still growing and has not reached its peak. We can also compare the trend with the overall trend of United States population over the same period of time.

    Key observations

    In 2023, the population of Flagler Beach was 5,541, a 4.86% increase year-by-year from 2022. Previously, in 2022, Flagler Beach population was 5,284, an increase of 0.57% compared to a population of 5,254 in 2021. Over the last 20 plus years, between 2000 and 2023, population of Flagler Beach increased by 561. In this period, the peak population was 5,541 in the year 2023.     Description

    The EcoTrends project was established in 2004 by Dr. Debra Peters (Jornada Basin LTER, USDA-ARS Jornada Experimental Range) and Dr. Ariel Lugo (Luquillo LTER, USDA-FS Luquillo Experimental Forest) to support the collection and analysis of long-term ecological datasets. The project is a large synthesis effort focused on improving the accessibility and use of long-term data. At present, there are ~50 state and federally funded research sites that are participating and contributing to the EcoTrends project, including all 26 Long-Term Ecological Research (LTER) sites and sites funded by the USDA Agriculture Research Service (ARS), USDA Forest Service, US Department of Energy, US Geological Survey (USGS) and numerous universities.

    Data from the EcoTrends project are available through an exploratory web portal (http://www.ecotrends.info). This web portal enables the continuation of data compilation and accessibility by users through an interactive web application. Ongoing data compilation is updated through both manual and automatic processing as part of the LTER Provenance Aware Synthesis Tracking Architecture (PASTA). The web portal is a collaboration between the Jornada LTER and the LTER Network Office.

    The following dataset from Florida Coastal Everglades (FCE) contains human population (total) measurements in number units and were aggregated to a yearly timescale.

About this dataset

Context

The dataset tabulates the Miami Beach population over the last 20 plus years. It lists the population for each year, along with the year on year change in population, as well as the change in percentage terms for each year. The dataset can be utilized to understand the population change of Miami Beach across the last two decades. For example, using this dataset, we can identify if the population is declining or increasing. If there is a change, when the population peaked, or if it is still growing and has not reached its peak. We can also compare the trend with the overall trend of United States population over the same period of time.

Key observations

In 2023, the population of Miami Beach was 79,607, a 0.50% decrease year-by-year from 2022. Previously, in 2022, Miami Beach population was 80,004, a decline of 1.07% compared to a population of 80,872 in 2021. Over the last 20 plus years, between 2000 and 2023, population of Miami Beach decreased by 8,695. In this period, the peak population was 90,572 in the year 2016.
