Vector polygon map data of mile markers from Florida containing 4107 features.
Mile marker GIS data consists of points along a linear feature, such as roads or railways. They serve as reference points to measure distances along these features. Mile markers are often labeled with numbers indicating their distance from a starting point, such as a highway's origin or a railway station.
These markers are invaluable for navigation, route planning, emergency response, and data collection. For example, they help drivers and emergency services identify their location precisely on a road. In transportation planning, mile markers aid in analyzing traffic patterns, determining optimal routes, and estimating travel times. Additionally, they facilitate maintenance activities by providing clear reference points for inspecting and repairing infrastructure.
This data is available for viewing and sharing as a map in a Koordinates map viewer. This data is also available for export to DWG for CAD, PDF, KML, CSV, and GIS data formats, including Shapefile, MapInfo, and Geodatabase.
This data is a collection of park-maintained roads.

This group of layers was developed by the Balmoral Group and contains the transportation and evacuation route layers as defined in 380.093(2)(a) Florida Statutes. The layers were sourced from various public State of Florida and Federal Sources. Transportation and evacuation routes include airports, bridges, bus terminals, ports, major roadways, marinas, rail facilities, and railroad bridges. Typically, the data are utilized in various vulnerability assessments in evaluating the exposure and sensitivity from combined events of sea level rise, precipitation, major storms, and flooding. The data will also be used in efforts to complete a comprehensive statewide assessment for the State of Florida.

The FDOT Historical Annual Average Daily Traffic feature class provides spatial information on Annual Average Daily Traffic section breaks for the state of Florida. In addition, it provides affiliated traffic information like KFCTR, DFCTR and TFCTR among others. It contains five years of AADT data including the most currently available year. This dataset is maintained by the Transportation Data & Analytics office (TDA). The real_time data shows the collection of real-time traffic volumes and observed travel speeds on a selected set of roadways in the state. The real_time data is the most recent two days (maximum) of traffic volumes and traffic speeds collected from the time traffic monitors are activated and shown in the most recent 2-day intervals until the activated monitors are turned off. Therefore a single station on the map will have a number of records tied to it showing the traffic volume and speed changes for that roadway section over a two day interval. Real-time polling is activated for a hurricane or other emergencies in Florida. This dataset is maintained by the Transportation Data & Analytics office (TDA). This feature layer contains the Level of Service (LOS) on state roads and other facilities within the District Five, from 2002 to present. LOS is updated annually in July; this dataset will be updated accordingly. Data from the previous year is used to calculate the LOS, so there is a time lag. The currently adopted Urban and Transitioning areas are also shown. Please keep in mind that the methodology and capacities for calculating LOS has changed several times during the past 20 years. Thus, an equal comparison between and among the different years may be difficult to do. For definitions, official FDOT policy on LOS, handbooks/user guides, and contact information, please visit the FDOT Systems Implementation Office website at https://www.fdot.gov/planning/systems/programs/sm/los/default.shtm.
The FDOT GIS Divided Highways feature class provides spatial information on Florida Divided Highways. This is based on Feature 120, characteristic TYPEROAD. This dataset shows roads with TYPEROAD = 2. TYPEROAD is required for all functionally classified roadways On or Off the SHS and Active Exclusive roadways. This dataset is maintained by the Transportation Data & Analytics office (TDA). A line feature class of the FDOT U.S. Highways, it provides spatial information on Florida U.S. Highways as well attribute information compatible with the Roadway Characteristics Inventory (RCI) database. The US Roads feature class covers the state of Florida at a scale of 1:24,000 and was created in a projection system of Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) 17 North zone and a horizontal datum of North American 1983 (NAD 1983), map units in meters. It was then projected by MDC into NAD_1983_StatePlane_Florida_East_FIPS_0901_Feet, map units feet.Updated: Bi-Annually The data was created using: Projected Coordinate System: WGS_1984_Web_Mercator_Auxiliary_SphereProjection: Mercator_Auxiliary_Sphere
