This representation of the road centerlines support address geocoding and mapping. It also serves as a source for public works and other agencies that are responsible for the active management of the road network.

This layer delinates the area being put forward in one of three types of applications to the Long Range Planning Division of the Planning department. CUP - Conditional Use Permit, HOP - Home Occupation Permit, and SP - Sketch Plat. These are all applications which require approval from the Planning Commision (HOP) and the Board of Commissioners (CUP, SP). Distinctions are based on the form, pattern and intensity of land development.Comprehensive Plan (2017 - 2037)The purpose of the Comprehensive Plan is to guide the intensity, location and timing of development and to ensure compatibility with existing uses, infrastructure and economic trends while protecting natural and cultural resources.Forsyth County's Comprehensive Plan serves as a policy guide as decisions are made in relation to growth and land use change. This dataset was created to inventory Forsyth County's wastewater infrastructure. The data has been created by digitizing as-built drawings and CAD files in conjunction with orthophotography. Some data has been field verified with mapping grade GPS and survey grade GPS. Other uses include mapping and modeling.Two sub-layers for public consumption (FCWS & Private/Other).
