Parcel data from Fulton County for the most recent tax year. This layer can be used in software programs and apps so only the data layer needs to be updated instead of each individual program or app. Fulton Update Date attribute is the Last Updated Date from the Fulton County GIS Open Data site. From Fulton:This dataset represents the boundary of each parcel of land in Fulton County recorded for the purpose of aiding in the appraisal of real property and the determination of property tax. A parcel dataset is created each year in association with that year's tax digest. The parcel dataset for any given year is not considered final until the completion of the digest, which generally occurs around mid-year. Until the completion of the digest, the parcel dataset is considered to be a work in progress. Any necessary corrections and omissions may continue to be made even after the completion of the digest. The parcel dataset in its published form incorporates information from the CAMA (computer-aided mass appraisal) database. The CAMA information included with the published dataset is selected based on its value to the typical consumer of the data and includes the parcel identification number, the property address, property owner, owner's mailing address, tax district, assessed and appraised value for land and improvements, the number of livable units, acreage, property class and land use class.

    Description

Download .zipThis coverage represents individual ditch project watersheds as provided by the Fulton County Engineer's Office.

This coverage was digitized from data drafted onto USGS quadrangle maps utilizing a run length encoding technique sampling along horizontal lines which represented the midline of cells with a height of 250 feet. The measurement increment along these lines was one decafoot (10 ft.) The quadrangle files were then merged into a county file which was subsequently converted to ARC/ INFO format.

The user should bear in mind that this coverage is only an approximation of the ditch boundaries as drafted and due to the nature of the raster digitizing process employed at that time the ditches themselves are represented as somewhat discontinuous polygons.

Additional details on the digitizing process are available on request.

Original coverage data was converted from the .e00 file to a more standard ESRI shapefile(s) in November 2014.Contact Information:GIS Support, ODNR GIS ServicesOhio Department of Natural ResourcesReal Estate & Land ManagementReal Estate and Lands Management2045 Morse Rd, Bldg I-2Columbus, OH, 43229Telephone: 614-265-6462Email: gis.support@dnr.ohio.gov

    Description

Download .zipThis analysis was designed to assess potential soil erosion. An abbreviated version of the Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE) was used to calculate potential soil erosion for each soil. The result was then compared with the value 8T (T is an estimate of the maximun annual soil loss which can occur without affecting crop productivity). This analysis does not adjust for any conservation practices and delineates those areas that are classified as highly erodible soils. This study is not designed to replace a specific site analysis. Criteria were provide by the Fulton County Soil and Water Conservation District and the Fulton County Natural Resources Conservation Service Office.

The coverage used in this analysis was digitized from the original paper soil survey sheets. These sheets were taped together to form an area covering each of the USGS quadrangle maps in the county. The areas for each quadrangle were then digitized using a run length encoding technique sampling along horizontal lines which represented the midline of cells with a height of 250 feet. The measurement increment along these horizontal lines was one decafoot (10 feet). The quadrangle files were then merged into a county raster based file which was subsequently converted to ARC/INFO format.

The user should bear in mind that this coverage is only an approximation of the original soil survey and should not be used for site specific analysis.

    Description

The Land Assets dataset is a geospatial table representing all known land parcels under the ownership or lease of the government of Fulton County, Georgia. Each asset is represented by a polygon representing the legal boundary of the parcel as recorded by the office of the tax assessor. The dataset was initally compiled between May and September of 2011 from lists maintained by the Land Division and from the records of the tax assessor.

The dataset includes a number of attributes describing the asset, many of which have been or are in the process of being populated by IT/GIS and the Land Division. On going maintenance is a joint effort between IT/GIS and the Land Division, with IT/GIS responsible for maintaining the attributes that can be easily derived from the GIS and the Land Division maintaining the remainder.
